This is a quaint K-café, as if Café Bene and Java Day merged to become this. The menu has fare offered similar to both places mentioned and talk about direct competition, the three places are blocks apart. Literally all on Northern. I like the looks of this place, clean and inviting. Their menu is what compelled me to want to try this place. They have cool drinks, beers and all kinds of coffees. The menu also has snack foods(great to pair with the beers) and main entrées or cool sides. From waffles to rice balls, something for all. The Korean dishes are great as are the Japanese inspired dishes. I ordered the spam rice ball for fun. Just wanted to see how it would be executed. Then I ordered the lunch special Tonkatsu(fried pork cutlet). My hubby ordered the Korean beef. The dishes were large enough to share and inexpensive to boot. Both dishes were really savory and delicious. The beef was tender and had the classic marinade. The pork cutlet was crisp, not oily, tender and still juicy on the inside. The gravy it came with was kind of sweet but still a brown sauce. I’ll definitely return to try more of the menu. Yummy stuff.

I came here not know what to expect, and with the lovely setting and welcoming customer service I was very pleased. I ordered the carbonara rice cake & bulgogi rice ball and the tasted delicious and clean! The smoothies as well were refreshing and not to sugared down. Definitely will be coming back soon !

This is a great place for a late night meal or snack. The décor is super cute, with candles, plants and cool wall art. The atmosphere is really laid back and the dim lighting can also make it romantic if you’re looking for that feel. The music is also very varied with some K-Pop, English mainstream, and everything in between. The food was good and reasonably priced, especially the kimbap. Careful not to over order though, the portions were larger than I expected. The blonde haired Asian who works there(or owns the place, not sure) was super friendly, polite, and accommodating. She was really sweet and definitely made the experience better!

This place is hands down one of my favorite places to go! I literally went here two days in a row because they’re just that great. The décor is very simple. Unlike the other cafes I have been, this place has the best customer service. From the moment you walk in, the owner greets you and makes you feel very welcome. She is very sincere and kind. The staff follows up with your order and makes sure you are satisfied. I recommend their combo(hamburger steak, omelet rice and pasta). For dessert, try the waffle! I will definitely be coming here again.

I’ve visited this place a few times and have always had a pleasant experience, but the latest one takes the cake. Came in at around 10:45AM over the weekend with the girlfriend and were the only customers, as lunch usually begins around 11:00. Out of the kitchen comes the kindest old lady you will ever see and informs us that their coffee machine is broke and apologizes profusely even though we weren’t going to order coffee anyway. I think maybe her children or grandchildren own the restaurant and she was helping out? They had gone out to try and get parts for the machine and was left in charge of the restaurant. Not a big deal at all, we are very low key people and don’t like to make fusses about minor things. Ordered a omelette over rice and a chicken club sandwich — both were great as usual. After we were finished, the old lady said she doesn’t know how to use the register to give us our check and only made us pay for the dishes, which came out to 18 before tax and tip. But she refused to charge for tax and wouldn’t take tip, instead apologizing again even though we didn’t mind at all. Just a friendly and sweet old lady. But that’s just today. We always like to come here because it’s so homey and inviting, no frills and nothing pretentiousness. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and all their dishes are so clean and tasty. There’s a mix of Korean comfort with a splash of American/Italian cuisine. Rice dishes, noodles and pastas. Not to mention that this is our go to for desserts, as they have maybe the best in Flushing. Waffles, toasts and ice creams galore. And combined with a latte or tea, is there anything better? Prices are all very reasonable. Oh and this may be the only café that also has beer and wine so pretty much 5 stars in my book. Will definitely be visiting again soon! Thinking of becoming regulars just for the service.

This café is my kind of place because not only does it have café drinks but they serve Korean food and dessert! The only thing bad would be it’s a little pricey, but still one of my favorite stores on northern.

My favorite spot to get work done. Their coffee is delicious, and the food has gotten better over time. However, I’m not sure if the owners have changed… Really hoping that isn’t the case, because the original owners were awesome and friendly. An older lady was managing the store today, and kept pacing back and forth in front of my table. She even scolded my waiter for appearing tired, creating an unpleasant and awkward vibe.

This is a cozy little spot perfect for brunch. I really like the rustic décor and the waitress/owner are very friendly too. There’s the typical American brunch food as well as some korean. The pastas are tasty and the coffee selection is good. I find myself coming back here time after time.

Food used to be good, but today I ordered same stuffs, caramel hot latte, waffle ice cream and chicken pasta, all tasted not as good. Hopefully they are able bring it back like use to be.

Cozy little vintage café. Good service. Food/beverages are quite overpriced but presentation is flawless.

Friendly waiter but feel bad since by himself. Food is great! Ordered a pasta and hambuk steak. Our food came first, was waiting for our drinks. We’re almost done with our food when he approached us and apologized for forgetting our drinks. Since we were almost done, I told him to just take it out, we no longer wants the drink. They could’ve at least offered the drinks still on the house since they forgot about it… Tsk tsk

Originally, I was on my way with my sister and her friend to a restaurant a few doors down. However, we didn’t plan that out too well and got there around 3 when the restaurant opened at 5. The snow was coming down pretty hard so we decided to hide out at this cute little place. When I first walked in, I already loved it. The décor made the place so comforting. We sat down at a table and the woman working there came right away. The service there was pretty good. I got the matcha latte, my sister got the café latte and her friend got the café mocha, we also ordered a crack Kimbap to share. My matcha latte was not the best but it was still pretty good. The crack Kimbap was also tasty. I wish I lived closer to this place, I’d be here all the time. Hopefully coming back to try the other stuff at this cute café!

This place has really cute decorations and because it is not super popular, yet, grabbing a table was easy. I had a hot misugaru latte and it was very gritty. Personally I prefer the misugaru consistency at M2S café. The honey bread was weird; it was 4 slices of toast as opposed to one huge toast that I am use to. I would come back to try out their food and perhaps another drink on their menu, but not for their honey toast. If i remember correctly, they have happy hour from 5pm-8pm. It’s a really cute café where you can sit around and chat with friends without having to talk loudly in order to be heard.

Cutest décor! Wall of mirrors and pots of plants on the wooden tables. Honey bread was so good! 4 slices of toast, condensed milk, whipped cream, chocolate and caramel sauce. Great dessert! My friend ordered the waffle with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruits. They ran out of berries so they used apples and bananas. Weird combination if you ask me! He enjoyed the waffle and ice cream but couldn’t finish all the apples. He said too much chewing for a dessert.

Okay, I’m definitely loving this place and will probably be my spot everytime I come into Flushing. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Also they seem very genuine so it doesn’t look like they’re just looking for more tips. The décor of the place is really quit and has a light, relaxed feeling and is a great place to come for a cup of tea, latte, coffee if you want time to yourself, or if you want to come hang out with your friends/boyfriend, or come by after dinner or hanging out in the area. I normally don’t like very sweet things/desserts, but honestly their waffle with icecream is absolutely amazingggg. They’re food-food is also really good. Last time I came, my friend and I both ordered the iced misugaru. They only had enough to make one but they were so sweet about the whole thing, it didn’t even really matter at the end. I definitely will try to come by here everytime I’m in the area!

I liked the very relaxed atmosphere– you can get everything from something quick like a latte or a huge meal like dduk bok gi! It’s a very cozy, close type of setting. If don’t mind sharing with some people sitting down when it’s busy, it won’t be a big deal. If you are looking to have a nice, quiet brunch with– I don’t suggest this place(unless you go when it’s not busy, and I have NO idea since I only went around 2 – 3 ish on a Sunday). They have wine and beer but definitely overpriced in my opinion. I suggest going for a whole bottle of wine or don’t get it! The food was good enough for a café and not overpriced. We got some tea and ddukbokgi over a span of 90 mins. We just hung out and ate comfortably. There is only one bathroom, and make sure to knock. It can be accidentally locked from the person who used it before because their locks are a little confusing. The service was awesome! Since it’s a smaller place(imagine a smaller starbucks size store– with awesome décor!), the people who are working know when you need something. It’s very easy to just get up too. Although there were only two people working while we were there, I was impressed by their promptness and friendliess as they were getting busy. I didn’t give them a 5-star because of the pricing. Other than that, I’d come back!

Small, quaint café serving coffee, tea, and other simple Asian style dishes. I really liked the atmosphere and the service. But the food was just okay.

I have been dying to try this cute spot for awhile and finally did today with my mom. The décor feels very homey and I was able to choose my own table. Dessert: Waffle w/Green Tea icecream Portion size is perfect for two! I love the crunch factor of the waffle bedded underneath the delicious Green Tea icecream. I will definitely come back and try out their savory dishes!
