I came here for my very first Unilocal event and had such a great time! Fellow Unilocalers are inviting and friendly; and this restaurant is just fan-freakin-tastic! You make your own sauce from the sauce station here like at all hot pot restaurants, however the soup bases here are so tasty that you really do not even need it. Interestingly, there was no sriracha hot sauce that I saw of. This review would go on forever if I list everything I ate so let me just keep it brief. Out of all the meats that we tried, the free range chicken stood out the most and was the favorite of basically everyone! I would never order chicken if I was doing the ordering as I would assume boiled chicken would be dry, but that is not the case here. The chicken was incredibly tender and silky. Wowza! I would definitely order this again. The fish balls with roe were superb as well. So yummy! Finish your hot pot experience with some fresh noodles in the soup base and you will be the happiest of clams. Everything else: angus beef, lamb shoulder(not gamey), veggie platter, Mongolian kimchi(awesome and completely different from regular Korean kimchi), etc etc were all delicious. I felt so spoiled! I personally am not a fan of the sesame pancake nor the warm yam mochi as I don’t believe dessert should ever be oily but I stand alone on this one because everyone else loved it. I’d pass on the mini pork sausages though. The service is on point here. The owner would constantly come over to check up on us and make sure we have everything we needed. We had no problems communicating with any of the wait staff in English. I did find that the ventilation system did not work as well as I would have liked; I honestly do not know if it was even on. I saw the steam from the hot pot coming towards my face all throughout dinner instead of going upwards towards the vents. Needless to say I didn’t smell very fresh when I left, but it was all worth it. :) The temperature outside is getting cooler and I’m excited because this means hot pot season! Will be back for sure! Definitely my favorite hot pot location in all of Flushing. Such an amazing event and I’m so excited for more future ones!

Going into this, I really did not know what to expect. I was clueless. I was lost. I was hungry. And I arrived 15 minutes earlier than scheduled event. Not a good start for me, eh? Thankfully, there was a saving grace — a lot of people came early as well, and Jando was greeting us with open arms and bear hugs, directing traffic to long communal tables. While waiting for starters, we almost melted few Unilocal glasses on hot plate just to try them out, but Hot Pot filled with steaming delicious broth arrived shortly and put a stop on those shenanigans. They had special Unilocal menu just for us!!! How cool! Endless, endless courses of meats and veggies and seafood. For clueless people like myself, manager came around explaining all the nuts and bolts… And to the cooking we went… Meats, more meats, more meats and more meats, fish balls, mushrooms and veggies and noodles. Some of us(ahem… Sheldon…) were ready for the nap very soon — amount of food would put anyone into food coma, seriously. (The roe-filled fish balls and thinly sliced pork shoulder there to die for) Pro tip — you can get steam facial while sitting next to steaming hot pot if you end up on right side of the table. Kia and I enjoyed it very much. This was the biggest feast I ever seen at Unilocal event — they really, really outdid themselves. Thanks, Jando! Thanks, Queens! And cheers to Little Sheep! PS. Stay tuned for follow-up review! Yea, I came back. It was that good.
