Clean and great for groups. Go first with an experienced«hotpotter» to help you navigate the confusing menu options and cooking experience. It was unique and fun, but everything tasted pretty much the same once boiled in the hotpot. The condiment bars were exhausted and were not refilled during my entire visit. Don’t come here if you’re rushed.

We went on a Thursday night and got there at 6:30, glad we went on a weekday to avoid the crowd. I really liked the hot pot soup base, it was so flavorful, you don’t need to have add much soy sauce to your own mixed sauce but I wonder if it has msg in it. I was very thirsty at night after dinner. Food and service were both great! Angus beef, house shrimp ball, fish ball filled with fish roe. They also had suga pea sprouts. Our soup pot and waters were also filled constantly. Can’t wait to go back, I wish I could go there every week.

The hot pot here is like the buffet/check off list. It’s different from the other hot pot places I’ve been to like Minnie’s. It’s kind of confusing when you go here for the first time. But you just check off what you want from the paper and give it to the server. The hotpot is big. Cons– confusing to order, expensive. Pros– not too bad But I would prefer other hotpot places over this.

Hands down, best hot pot soup base for that authentic, Chinese, come-eat-me-on-a-cold-winter-day flavor. I would bring friends here who have never tried Chinese hot pot before. Pricing is standard($ 3-$ 5 for typical hot pot veggies and such, meats can be $ 11 for a lamb/beef combo platter that’s enough for 3 – 4 people). Take advantage of the happy hour(before 6pm, ½ off drinks) if you’re looking to drink with your meal. I went with a group of 4 and we had 2 warm sakes plus a bottle of plum wine and the bill came out to be roughly $ 15/person(tip included). I would say for vegetarians(and I mean strict vegetarians who cannot have meats contaminate the communal pot), Spring Shabu Shabu across the street might be a better option because of the variety of items for the price and individual pots, but the soup base will not be the same. Nice atmosphere, good service. Come here!

Awesome hot pot. Everything was delicious and fresh. Our skeptical friends loved it. This place is always packed. Park in lot across the street. Its definitely a fun night out, cant wait to have my vegan friends try it!

DELICIOUS hot pot for a GREAT deal! When we arrived, we were pleased by the pleasant, clean ambience which you may not except in Chinatown. The menu was quite extensive offering various combinations of meats and highlighting their lamb. You could also mix and match vegetables of your choice or order the vegetable combination which came with bok choi, cabbage, chrysanthemum leaves, a couple tomato slices, a piece of pumpkin, and a piece of corn. The true star of the show though was the meat. We ordered 2 platters of meat but when they came, we were so surprised to see the QUANTITY! We probably should have read whether our platters were half or full pounds but for about $ 15, you get enough meat to feed two very comfortably. I also like how you get to mix your own sauce at the counter at the back and they give suggestions for sauce combinations that suite the type of meats you’re eating. –1 star for the lack of menu options that include some sort of meat and vegetable combination. Thus, this hot pot spot is probably best for groups of 3 or more.

Great deal for great hot pot! At this hot pot place, the base price is the broth for the hotpot(a little under $ 4/person i believe). Both the regular and spicy broths were flavorful and rich. Then, just pick off from their long list of ingredients what you want. We got 2 of the lamb/beef combo, pork belly, some fish balls, tofu and a bunch of veggies– it came out to about $ 21 per person and we were STUFFED. Great service too!

Spacious hot pot restaurant is a rarity. The most important part of hot pot besides fresh food is the soup base. This place got it down, it’s so good that I tend to ladle a cup out to drink before the food arrives. The portions is a bit small but the price is fair. The waitstaff is awesome. Very polite and attentive without being a pest.

Came here on a Wednesday night with a couple of friends Pros: — Nicely-flavored broths(super important for hotpot) — and the pot is divided into two parts! — All the ingredients are really fresh and depending on the item some portion sizes are larger than others(I would suggest starting off with one portion of each item) — The place is really clean — The waiters/waitresses are super attentive — they come around to refill the broth/water cups and ask if you need anything else — Near the back of the restaurant there is a counter filled with different type of sauces — The tables are nicely spaced out so a great place to hang out with your friends bc you can still hear each other — Decent prices — Situated in a good location — close to a couple of bus stations and the Flushing-Main Street train station Cons: — None

Came here with some friends back in summer. I’ve had hot pot before at other places and compared to those places, I wouldn’t necessarily choose one over the other. In terms of price, this hot pot place is definitely one of the more expensive ones. Well, I came on a Sunday, so maybe the prices are different on weekends. Here, they charge per item, rather than a set place, like in other places. The soup bases are tasty, but I think it’s very heavy in MSG(you can smell the smell of MSG once you enter the place). The spicy one is a bit too spicy for my taste. The sauces station is very diverse and has a lot of options. My favorite sauce is to combine garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, and some other stuff. Also, the pot is one combined pot for the whole table. This works for some people and not for others. Anyway, this place gets a thumbs up for the service, staff, cleanliness, and such. However, when you see your bill, you could practically get a semi heart attack because it all eventually adds up. In short, pricey but okay. I wouldn’t go here again for hot pot because I know other places that I can go to for one fourth the price and still be as full.

Came here a few times for their lunch special. For $ 9.99 you get to choose a meat dish(they have like 6 – 7 different ones to choose from) and a plate of random sides that include mushrooms, udon, tofu, fish balls, pretty much the standard hot pot essentials. Certain meats have an additional charge but its usually only about $ 1-$ 2 extra. You can’t really beat that price. Their soup bases are very flavorful. I’d recommend half and half because you get to have the best of both. They don’t have as many sauces as Minnie’s but they still have a good variety to choose from! If you come on a weekday afternoon, it’s usually pretty empty. Service is quick and staff is pretty friendly.

Price is affordable and things are worth it. Came in at lunch special at $ 10/ea. the portion is fine. Feed me well. Meat is fresh and fine. Ordered another plate of lamb meat. Really fresh and tasty and comes a lot. We couldn’t finish not even half of it so took a lamb soup home for dinner:-) The SOUP is thumb up! I’m very glad I tried here. It has some Chinese herbs in and those made the soup taste special, yummy, savory, healthy and rich. Our waitress is a nice girl. She’s professional and responded fast to our requests. I could see she was serving a whole role of customers and all being helped properly and fast. This I appreciate.

Amazing dinner with my sister on a Saturday night. We got there around 8 and there were quite a number of people waiting. The hostess told us it would be a 25 min wait. They had snacks and drink for all the people waiting which was extremely kind. 25 mins came in no time. We were seated in a booth. We chose the double soup base. It was phenomenal. I don’t remember exactly what food we ordered but it was extremely tasty too. I would bring my friends and family here for sure. Overall rating: Food: 10⁄10 Décor: 8⁄10 Pricing: 7⁄10 Service: 10⁄10

I’m kind of a hot pot novice but Little Sheep was great! It’s located super close to the 7 train stop. If you have a big group, I’d recommend a reservation. Our group of 6 was seated immediately on a busy Saturday night. The service was so nice and helpful(even if you don’t speak Chinese). We got 2 yin-yang hot pots. The meat portions are HUGE, and you can tell all of the food is super fresh. We paid about $ 30 each and left stuffed. There’s a 2 hour max time at the tables, but I’m not sure how strictly that is enforced.

I love hot pot when the fall/winder comes. Came here as a group of three and were seated immediately. The place is spacious and very clean. Came here hungry, and left full and satisfied.(best feeling in the world, isn’t it?) The service was decent, it was pretty busy so I’ll let them slide. I like the all the options at the sauce bar, they have a lot more than other hot pot places that I’ve been to. The only thing that I would comment on is that I’m not that big of a fan for their soup bases. They had add a bunch of cloves, garlic, dates, and other spices. I like to season my soup with the sauces that I get myself, instead of drinking soup with a bunch of different notes that I don’t really prefer. *****Also, it’s a shared pot — with a divider if you’s like. No individual pots.(which i like better) Overall, I would recommend that you come and try this restaurant out! Although, I probably wouldn’t come back myself.

Little Sheep is one of my favorite hot pot restaurants and I always get the same thing. Try the Ying Yang soup base(half hot and half regular). Beware the spicy is very spicy– the kind where you sweat all over and gulp down two cups of water hot. You can choose from a whole slew of ingredients to cook in the soup from all varieties of meat to vegetables. Make sure to get their fish balls filled with roe and their thinly sliced lamb. It’s delicious! This place is always packed so it may take awhile for your food to come out. Come early and grab some dipping sauces at their bar while you wait.

This was one of my favorite dining experiences yet. I shared a table with a vegetarian, so we got the split pot of broth… what a concept. You read off the menu(ASKFORTHEONEWITHPICTURES) and pick and choose what items you’d like to simmer in your customized for heat and flavor broth. Items range from meats, veggies, fish, tofu, quail egg. to stuff I have NO idea what it is. prices are low, so you can experiment and get out of there without breaking the bank! They bring your goodies and you cook them in whatever combos you like — visit the sauce bar for extra tastiness. Staff was friendly and attentive, we did not feel rushed at all. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Plently left to take home too.

I really love Little Sheep! Have heard this restaurant for many times, finally I got a chance to visit it when I traveled the New York. My friend and I, we ordered chicken, beef and pork, vegetable, and some small food. We were shocked when the order coming, because that’s really a lot, especially the meat was a huge plate! All of them were delicious, although we didn’t finish them all. And the price was reasonable! Such a wonderful restaurant. We must come back next time we travel the NYC!

I swear Little Sheep used to be in a different location. Wasn’t it on near Main Street and Northern Blvd? Anyways… we came here to start the Fall with hotpot. It was amazing, obviously in this sudden, freezing cold weather. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomach and we ended up trying our best to finish everything. Conclusion: We Succeeded Mission Impossible. We didn’t realize the 6oz Angus Steak and Pork Belly dishes was that much food. Love the herbal original broth! If you’re not going in a big group, opt for the half sizes. Newest discovery for the night: Flat glass noodles… absolutely delicious!

Hands down, this is seriously the best hot pot in town. It’s their tasty broth that what makes this place stand out from others. All of their a la carte items are also very fresh and high quality. The restaurant itself is also very clean and staff are very professional. You can sit here for hours without feeling rushed at all. It’s conveniently located across the muni parking. Tip: 1) They give you one giant pot to share but you can always order half mild, half spicy broth to try different flavors. 2) Lines can get long during peak hours. I advise coming around off-peak.
