oh man how novel is this? an animé themed restaurant in queens! and an one piece themed restaurant too to boot! definitely entered this restaurant and felt like a giddy little school boy, completely captivated by the sleek interior and awesome theme, the food however definitely fell below the mark ordered the skewers, spicy beef tripe, and popcorn chicken skewers were a dollar a piece, pretty tender and well worth the price since they sell them outside for 1.00 spicy tripe was okay nothing special, but not bad either popcorn chicken, was one of the better items I tried here, honestly its one of the better versions I’ve tried in flushing, a definite must when visiting this establishment as the outside was crunchy while the chicken itself was still very tender although not a bad option, this place wasn’t exactly something that blew me away either. Would come back in the area, only if I felt whimsical

I don’t know what happened. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple of times because my friend just loves it. We took a visit here last night expecting the food to be the same from half a year back but nothing taste the same. The quality has completely went down the hill and not to mention, did the chef forget how to cook? Dishes that were suppose to be crispy all came out soggy. The soup that we ordered taste bland and tasteless. Not to mention, the service is terrible. They forgot our order, usually it’s not a big deal but when the order finally came out after reminding them twice, it was soggy and just looked like a bunch of fish mushed together. The chef either was replaced or completely forgot how to cook. I’ll give them 2 stars because they got the sticks right and this restaurant was once a good one.

I come here quite frequently just because it’s convenient for me. The food is okay. Some taste better than others. For example, the noodles are way too oily but the fried rice taste okay but definitely not enough for the price. The service also differs daily. They messed up our order a few times already by not taking the order correctly and when we asked them about it, they insisted that we never ordered it. We also found a tiny piece of hair in one of our dishes two times but that is rare since I visited this place many times. The restaurant has a One Piece theme. The prices for the food here are too expensive for the quantity that is given but it isn’t too overpriced. The service differs according to the waiter/waitress. For example, my dad tried getting the attention of a waiter standing right next to him by waving and calling out to him but he did not notice at all. Instead, another waitress saw and approached us. That same waiter that was not paying attention also served us the wrong dish and while we were trying to tell him that we didn’t order it, he walked away really quickly. Once again, the other waitress had to correct his mistake for him.

Me and my parents have tried pretty much all the restaurants around Holly Ave. I decided to come to Ke Zhang to taste how their foods are. The décor is cute and different with Japanese animation characters plastered everywhere and tiny toy figure displays. Me and my parents sat our own individual booths which I do love booths hehe My parents wanted to try the Spicy Tongue but I forgot if it was a pork or beef one… thank god that they didn’t have it because its been too humid out lately. My mom ended picking the Spicy Beef Stomach. I got Salt and Pepper Chicken and Skewers(gizzard — 2, chicken –2, lamb –2, beef –2). I don’t like eating weird animal parts but I did tried the Spicy Beef Stomach and that was delicious in the spicy chili sauce. Mmmmm the skewers were flavorful and yummy. My favorite was the Salt and Pepper Chicken… very crispy and love the red powdered topped on the chicken =) I had some room for dessert and ordered the Watermelon Sago… major disappointment WTF! It wasn’t a cold dessert soup so I asked the server while speaking Mandarin. He told me that the watermelon was just cut freshly but HELLO its not cold that’s the point and I wasn’t talking about the freshness DUH! What a fucking waste of $ 4.50 where I can make this shit at home… cut up some watermelon bedded on the watermelon juice and find some sago! The people in the kitchen should have store the whole watermelon in the fridge so when its cut which will taste cold and much sweeter. I wanted to give them a 4 stars for food but a huge minus of the star because they clearly shouldn’t have a dessert section if its like drinking a warmish dessert soup. Definitely come here for food if you got a sweet tooth, go somewhere else close by or on Main St!

The food service in this restaurant is not bad. If anyone interest in the one piece, then you should try it. They have a lot garage kits and posts, but not for sell.

Been here twice, and both times, I ask myself one question… why would I come back? Answer: ONEPIECETHEME! Seriously though. the food leaves much to be desired. Out of all the things they served, their bbq skewers are probably the only thing I would recommend. The noodles are bland yet have a weird after taste. The rice bento dishes are super dry. I haven’t had any problems with their services though. They should probably work on their menu. Seeing as how they’re going with the One Piece theme, Sanji would definitely not approve of the quality of food being served here, and Luffy would go crazy with the lack of meat variety.

I’ve been here quite a number of times, from when they first opened to now. They’ve definitely improved a LOT! Service is on point. They’re nice and friendly! The animé décor is unique, even though it’s not a Japanese restaurant. They serve a variety of food: skewers, congee, meat and seafood dishes, fried things, rice and noodles. I even like their tea! Get: — Three cups chicken — Salt & pepper shrimp — Skewers — you order from the sheet they give you to check off what you want!

Pretty good chicken wings, taste very good! Beef stick also good with very less fat! My order was picked up, never try dine in since the services rating r kind a bad. I recommend take out will be the best option! Chicken wing $ 2 each but it’s big.

If I could I would give them zero star, I would. They deserve it. Horrible service! They got my whole delivery order wrong and didn’t even offer to change it for me. So they changed the menu and didn’t even notify us. They blamed us for not telling them we have the old menu. How in the world do I know you changed your menu?! They had a record of my order back in January and still say it’s my fault that I don’t have the most updated menu! They don’t even deliver your food into our office. We had to go get it ourselves. Such a horrible place. They should’ve just changed my order.

my boyfriend and i came to eat dinner once before a while ago and there food was ok so we decided to order take out last night at 11 since we were hungry and this is one of the closest chinese food places near our house that’s open late. we ordered fried calmari, beef chow fun, pad thai with shrimp, bbq squid skewer, 2 rice cake skewers, eggplant skewer and a chicken wing skewer. — do NOT get their fried calamari. it was SO small and it was NOT good! $ 5.95 –my bf said that the beef chow fun was ok… i did like their green and red peppers in –the chow fun cause other places usually dont serve it with peppers lol i had their pad thai with shrimp. i told them 2x on the phone and they read the order back to me, i asked for NOSCALLIONS and NOONIONS and guess what i found BOTH in my pad thai!!! super mad when my bf and i came home from picking up our food cause i sat at home for a good 10 min picking all of them out!!! but i do have to say that their shrimp was tasteful and they gave a good amount(about 8?) the shrimp gave the dish a nice sweet flavor. — bbq squid skewer: nothing special — rice cake: very soft and chewy(bf always gets this) — eggplant skewer: soft and nice flavors but not worth it. 3 little round pieces of eggplant for $ 1. rather not. — chicken wing skewer($ 2) eh it was ok. overall, we may order from here if it’s late and we’re hungry. nothing to really crave for here except for the fact my bf does really like their rice cake skewers.

Two stars because I like their ice rice and the fact that they open late. Other than that this place is bleh. When dining in, the waitress are very rude and look miserable all the time as if they hated their job. The food is either overly sauce or blend. They make their yaki tori/shish kebab on electric grill which is very bad for your health. When I order delivery, it took over an hour to arrive. On top of that they forgot my drink… Overall they can do better.

5 stars for food, always tasty and creative. Friends and I have really enjoyed all they have to offer 2 stars for service — SLOW to serve, slow to refill, slow to take away 3.5 stars for waitress recommending a yummy dessert, after discovering my 1st choice(listed prominently on the menu) is a seasonal item Not sure if it’s a related incident but last night’s meal(skewers, razor clams, seafood noodle) left me running to the porcelain gods this morning.

2 stars this time is purely based on the fact that I went online and found this site that shows I can order online from Ke Zhang but after I ordered and went to pick up, they said they don’t take online orders so they never got my order and i had to reorder. Waste of time. They should contact whoever made this site if they don’t offer it. –very frustrated customer!

This place was okay, the only thing I remember was the Animé theme which was super cute and they have those little booth that looks like a tiny house. Décor was sharp, which makes up for the food. The menu was pricey, however they do have these shewers that you can order and they are around $ 1 -$ 3 depending on which one you order! Two things I ordered along with 5 shewers were the pineapple rice and salted/pepper chicken. The shewers were a little greasy, actually it was very greasy… The pineapple rice did not tasted fresh at all, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The salted/pepper chicken was pretty good. Basically, if you’re drunk in the middle of the night and need some food, stop by… lol

When I first walked in I thought I was in an Animé store. Animé themed characters adorned the restaurant walls and shirts of the staff. The menu was pretty extensive and we started out with some appetizers. We ordered the lamb, beef, Chinese sausage and fish ball skewers. The skewers all had a light dusting of cumin. All in all they were delish and for a $ 1 a piece for most skewers, you can’t go wrong. For our entrée we ordered the casserole loaded with tender slices of fish, vegetables and chilies. We decided on mild for the heat factor and the dish was delicious. I had plenty of left overs to take home. We also ordered the shrimp, pork and beef pineapple fried rice, serve in a halved pineapple. The fried rice was packed with meat and shrimp and stir fried to perfection. We really enjoyed the fried rice as the pineapple was not too overpowering sweet and had a nice balance of sweet and salty. The staff were very polite and wait times to get our food once we placed our order was minimum. Like I said earlier, if you’re into the animé thing this place would be an added bonus for you. If you’re only here for the food and not the décor or theme of the place, you won’t be disappointed either. It’s a winning combination on both sides of the equation. I plan to return in the future and maybe wear my superhero tights and cape, I wonder if I can get a discount for that.

We came here with a group of 6 people on a Friday around 7pm and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. It was surprisingly busy but maybe because it was a holiday and people did not have work. I love the One Piece animé. The décor of the restaurant consists of One Piece wall art and figurines, while the employees donned t-shirts with the animé. However I don’t really truly get what the theme of this restaurant really has to do with Chinese food. It’d be much cooler if the dishes here at least have One Piece-inspired names. I would pass on the green apple smoothie because it tasted like liquid jolly rancher, way too sweet and candy-like to be a drink. The lamb skewer and chicken wing skewer were delicious, I love cumin anything! We ordered the braised pork, some cabbage dish(oily!), some fish dish(that lacked fish!), black bean and garlic clams(yummy, can’t ever go wrong with this!) amongst other things which I had forgotten(I guess it wasn’t that memorable). Overall the food was pretty good, but I wouldn’t be rushing back any time soon… or ever for that matter. The prices are very fair, service is okay. There is a restaurant across the street with a red awning that has similar styled(Szechuan-like?) food and is WAY better. Go there instead.

If you like one piece, the animé, this restaurant is one piece themed :) I love this place, there’s usually never a wait to be seated. Even if you come with a large party there is plenty of space. If you come with 2 – 4 people they have cool booths for you to be seated in. I got the hand pulled beef noodles and that was delicious. The price per meal is pretty cheap. The wait staff is pretty friendly and attentive and so service was pretty on point. No complaints here.
