Coco is amazing! My review is a bit late. Coco did my hair/​make-​up in May 2015 for my engagement photos and then in June 2015 for my wedding. She also did my mother and sister for my wedding. She is the sweetest person. Coco is very talented, she can make anyone look beautiful. My make up and hair lasted all day/​night and I looked flawless. I never needed to do any touch ups. She is punctual, friendly, and will put any bride at ease. She works quickly and knows how to deal w/​any bride’s schedule. I definitely recommend her for any make-​up needs including your big day. You will not be disappointed. Coco is the best in the business.

Where do I even begin? Coco hands down is the best makeup artist I’ve ever met. As someone who already knows how to do basic day to day makeup, I was really specific in the type of makeup I wanted done on my wedding day. I wanted natural makeup but was specific in making my monolid eyes look bigger. Before Coco, I had three makeup trials with other artist and they failed terribly. When I had my makeup trial with Coco, I knew right away that not only did she know what she was doing technically, she gave me exactly what I wanted –big eyes, lots of lashes, a little contouring (she recommended I don’t do too much or else i’ll regret it and i took that advice!) and airbrushing. She was quick in her skills and funny as heck! On the day of the wedding she brought her crew of three to the hotel we were staying at — to do hair and makeup for myself (the bride), 4 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and 1 sister. Not only did we finish on time, everyone looked amazing. Not to mention we started around 5am and kept her team moving quickly! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup. If you want someone who is an expert in NEW modern techniques, who can work REALLY FAST and someone who will listen to what YOU want — go with Coco! Coco is simply the best. She did the makeup for my wedding and she also did my makeup for my friend’s wedding. She absolutely knows what works with your face and what works for your dress. She made me feel perfect and confident after she worked her magic. Highly recommend her!

Coco did my hair and makeup for my wedding last Sunday. Her and her partner also did the hair and make up for my mom and bridesmaids. She was recommended to me by my friend. She did such an amazing job. She’s quick and knows exactly what she is doing and you can tell that she loves what she does. I had an early start (5:30 am) and she and her partner were on time. When I started getting nervous about my big day, Coco calmed me down and made me laugh with jokes. She’s an amazing makeup artist and person. I recommend her to everyone and I have already recommended her to my other friends who are getting married. Coco, you were an absolute pleasure to work with. Paid a deposit and canceled 7 months in advance of wedding date due to poor communication and rudeness. Ate the $ 200. Disappointed that I couldn’t get comfortable with her, but it was pretty difficult to get a response from her unless chased and emails went «missing». Really wanted to have a good experience but guess it wasn’t in the cards.

Perfectly perfect perfection. She listens, advises and provides the fantasy service asked of her. Her work is masterful, her easy friendliness is wonderful, and her ability to create stunning beauty is awe inspiring. I hate to laud her to the heavens as she deserves because she is difficult enough to book as it is, and I will never again entrust my hair and professional makeup to anyone else, but she deserves every ecstatic review ever written about her and more. She is an artist who will assuredly bring out the gorgeous in every client fortunate enough to engage her services.

Planning a wedding can be stressful. There are so many moving parts. That’s why I chose to work with only the top professionals in the industry and Coco was absolutely amazing.
Besides being extremely prompt, which is so important when the wedding day all starts with the make-​up, she is also very quick to reply back to you and very clear and fair about the cost and gives a specific account of what has already been paid.
I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding or photo shoot. Her work is flawless and is very careful to ensure the make up will look good in any light.

Coco is amazing! She did my hair and makeup for my baby shower and for the first time during my entire pregnancy, I actually felt beautiful! So glad I found her on Unilocal– I will definitely be recommending Coco to friends and booking again with her in the future!

I had done research about makeup and hair artists and came across Coco based on her excellent reviews. I sent her an email through her website and heard back from her in two days. She was very attentive and informative and because of her busy schedule, takes about one to two days to hear back from her. I immediately set up a trial with her 11 months before my wedding date and she came to my apartment. She tried two different hair styles and two different make up styles and gave me recommendations about which looks would pop out on pictures. She also took numerous pictures and notes and emailed them to me the night of the trial. I was going for a not so dramatic look and I think we were able to compromise. It was very easy to talk to Coco the months before my wedding. I gave her a list of the bridesmaids and we worked out a schedule that would accommodate me (the bride), my mother and 7 bridesmaids. I was supposed to leave for the venue at 9am and she was able to meet me at the hotel at 6:15am. She brought two assistants and they finished with the 9 of us by 8:45am. She spends about an hour working with the bride using a special air brush technique for makeup. I still remember all the emails I sent her months before the wedding asking her which hair comb she thinks would look better or what shade of lipstick/​lip gloss. I was extremely pleased with her service and the hair/​makeup lasted the whole day. I would recommend Coco in a heart beat!

I had my trial with Coco many months before my wedding day and in retrospect, I was so glad I signed a contract with her as early as I did because she is definitely in high demand (I later tried to hire her for event/​engagement makeup sessions and she was booked solid). For the trial, she was actually willing to drive out to MY house, which was a rare convenience that I hadn’t enjoyed with any other artists. She showed me several different styles, according to the Pinterest pictures that I showed her, and after that night, she texted me the stark before/​after pictures she’d taken with her cellphone. In under an hour, she’d completely transformed my frizzy hair and tired 5 o’clock face to bridal-​ready.
On the day of, Coco and her associates arrived at the venue earlier than I did (I was running late on my own wedding day because Murphy’s Law) and was sprang to work as soon as we all arrived. I took a huge risk and did a bridal no-​no by requesting a completely different look from the trial because (1) I wanted a much more natural look for the eyes than Coco had previously done (she tends to go dramatic with the eyes, but my husband is not a fan of the heavy-​handed look), and (2) I’d purchased hair accessories that necessitated a slightly different style. Coco accomplished everything without a hitch and, best of all, neither my hair or makeup was ruined by the end of the night, even after lots of crying, energetic dancing, and sweating. Her associates did a great job with my ladies as well, and Coco’s whole team worked efficiently, so that we began at 6:45 and ended at around 9:30, with plenty of time to spare. Compared to the many other hair and makeup artists I contacted, Coco’s pricing was pretty competitive (which, be warned, does not mean cheap — expertise comes at a cost). Your wedding day is crazy enough that hair and makeup is the very last thing anyone wants to worry about. Coco is an absolute professional and I was so happy I had her to help me create my best look for my wedding. Highly recommended!

Coco did an amazing job with my wedding hair and makeup and engagement session. She made my makeup look so natural and I kept getting compliments about how stunning I looked on my wedding day. She focuses her time on the eyes which is what really makes the whole look! She is also extremely accommodating! I had a very early morning wedding and she lives about 3 hours away and she still got to the venue before I did. Her team does amazing work and my bridesmaids all looked beautiful. I would highly recommend Coco for any event you have!

I had the best experience with coco. She made me look absolutely beautiful for my wedding. She worked with my bridal party as well and everyone looked amazing. I will recommend her for anyone’s wedding or event. She made me feel special and was so sweet and professional. My makeup lasted the whole day with just a lipstick touch up here and there. A few years ago I contacted Coco, after reading her reviews on here, for makeup and hair that I needed done for a friends wedding. She did an amazing job and kept my makeup looking so natural. About two months ago I needed makeup and hair done again for a professional photoshoot I was getting done. I immediately went looking for Coco and again, she did an amazing job. Coco is very talented and is patient when it comes to working with her customers. She has a good ear for listening to what you want and knows exactly what would suit you based on the event and venue you will be attending. Coco is definitely my go to person from now on when I need to get my makeup and hair done. I don’t think I trust anyone else to work on me. Her prices are inexpensive as well. I highly recommend her work.

Coco and her assistant did a GREAT job on hair and makeup for my wedding. She was punctual, professional, and honest. She will do what you ask her to do, but she will give you her advice/​recommendations at the same time to optimize your decision making. My bridesmaids absolutely adored and love her work. If you show her a picture of what you want, she will duplicate it on you. She’s very spot on! I would highly recommend her and she’s very affordable.

Coco and her partner provided hair and makeup services for my wedding party of five plus myself and my mom. Coco arrived on the dot at 6:30am and finished around 9:30/10am. From the beginning when I met her at my trial, I knew she was speedy, efficient, and talented at her job. Both times, she came in with her roll-​in suitcase, unpacked a million tools and pieces, quickly made me look awake and refreshed (even though I only had 3 hours of sleep), then packed up all her pieces as if she was never even there! (It’s magic, I tell you.)
I do think her prices are a little steep for makeup artists, but that’s just my opinion (I don’t spend much on makeup). Compared to other makeup artists who specialize in the Asian population, she charged about equal or slightly less in some cases. I suppose that’s what happens with having a high demand for Asian makeup artists on the East Coast. Also, I went with the airbrush makeup while my friends and mom went with regular makeup. I would say we all looked equally natural and comfortable. She had makeup that matched many different shades of skin from my friends who are of South Asian to East Asian backgrounds.
Coco makes you feel like everything will be alright (even when I told her I didn’t put together an emergency makeup kit, woops!) and she’s just fun to be around. Don’t hesitate to contact her and make sure you book early because she gets booked fast!

Coco did my hair and makeup for a black tie wedding and it was fabulous! I got so many compliments all night. She’s quick and efficient, knew exactly the look I was going for. It’s so important to have someone know how to work with Asian features and skin color. The makeup and hair stayed in place all night. I’d highly recommend her for your next event!

My hair and makeup stayed on the whole night Saturday (3.21.15)!! I only had to touch up very lightly throughout the day. I highly recommend Coco to everyone. She very personable and easy to talk to while keeping it professional. She’s always up to date with the latest styles. I agree with the other Unilocal reviewers, she is hard to get an appointment with. so you have to book her in advance. Trust me, she’s very well worth it.

Coco did an absolutely amazing job at my wedding last July (2014). My whole experience working with her was so wonderful and I would highly recommend her (if you can get her — she books up early!)
Coco and her assistants did hair and makeup for me, my 6 bridesmaids, and the two moms. And everyone looked SO beautiful! Coco was also great to talk to — very honest and fun to talk to. She is confident that she knows what she’s doing — and can absolutely back it up with her work.
I had Coco also come change my hair after the ceremony, and found out she also does more than just hair and makeup. At that time, my bouquet was sagging down a little bit and I didn’t know how to fix it. She somehow fixed my bouquet to make it look more fresh and beautiful — so she’s an all-​package deal! :)

I received so many compliments on my hair. The one that summed it up for me was, «your hair and makeup is amazing, but you still look like you.» That’s pretty much exactly what I was going for.

I am not exaggerating when I say that Coco did an amazing job with the makeup for my September 2014 wedding– myself and 2 friends. I opted for the «dramatic» version of eye makeup upon her recommendation, and I was so glad I did. I’m not really fussy about hair, so I gave her a general idea for what I wanted during the trial, and I loved what she came up with. We got compliments on our hair and makeup the entire night, and it really showed in the photos as well. She sent me a list for my emergency kit beforehand, which I didn’t even need anything from. My makeup stayed put and actually looked even better as the night wore on. I think I used lip balm once, maybe. Her fees are also very reasonable… I highly recommend! She books up very fast though!
