I was a bridesmaid and needed someone to do my make up and hair for a Saturday morning wedding (5÷16÷15). I had to get to the wedding venue which was in Long Island by 9:30AM so it was quite difficult to find a make up artist for 7AM. After some research, I found VickyC5 through Unilocal and through recommendations and I’m so thankful I did! Most places were charging me an extra $ 200 just for opening early for me & another girlfriend of mine but VickyC5 opened early for us for NO EXTRA CHARGE! They were very professional and accommodating through the whole thing.
I emailed them with lots of questions and they answered promptly and everything was done through email/​telephone which was great especially if you’re working. I was able to make a deposit over the phone and just had to pay the remaining balance on the day of.
My friend and I got there at 6:50ish for a 7AM appointment. We told the artists exactly what we wanted with our hair & make up (simple & natural) and that’s exactly what we got! And to make it even better, they finished both of us around 8:15AM! Gave us plenty of time to get dressed and head to the venue. The artists we had were professional and worked their magic. We came out feeling beautiful! We also received lots of compliments throughout the day.
I will definitely be using them again for my next big event! Wish I can use them every day!

I CANNOT say enough terrible things about this place.
RUN RUN RUN AWAY! SAVE YOURSELF FROM THE HEADACHE AND AGGRAVATION!
They will tell you everything you want to hear but execute a very poor job. Their skills and experience are limited to maybe people with good «typical» Asian skin. They cannot recommend provide advice on your skin type, hair type or what may work best with a venue (outdoor vs. indoor) that has a lasting power to look good the entire day or execute something off a picture. They are COOKIE CUTTERS and VANILLA that will provide you results that are blah or you would be better off getting a friend to do it if you choose them. They will also not make the mistake of providing you any guarantees or your satisfaction on their work. Their consultation is WEAK but they will be quick to offer that you come back so they can try something else that you will like more for MORE money for their subpar services. Their eyelashes also fell off — what a rip-​off. They will also take advantage of you emotionally as a bride. Wish I looked at these reviews first because unless you know them or speak their language, you are out of luck in communicating with them because they will «misunderstand» what you are saying to their advantage. RUN or FIND YOURSELF IN A BAD and not funny version of an SNL skit but the JOKE IS ON YOU!

I wish the team at Vickyc5 could do my hair and makeup everyday! They really know how to style hair and do makeup for the most flattering look. They were very quick but thorough, getting all 7 ladies of the wedding party dolled up on time and with touch-​ups after the photoshoot, after the ceremony, after the cocktail hour, etc. They brought with them a vast array of products, colors, and tools.
The team was fun and personable as we were preparing. Very professional all around. Can’t wait to use them for another event!
