Was there before the mid-week Mets game, and decided to give it a try. First word: LOUD. The music as over the top loud. The table was sticky. Will give the staff a decent grade, set us a table for 7, and the waiter stopped by somewhat frequently. Food was adequate, but not great for the cost(NYC typical, I guess). The next time we will eat inside of Citi Field, despite the lines. Much more variety, fun stuff, and pricing similar. Just not worth going out of your way for.

Was there with my adult kids and niece on Father’s day, before attending a Mets game. Wasn’t terribly busy, but we had trouble getting the waitress’s attention. Table was sticky, music was too loud in the early afternoon for a lunch crowd. Food was OK. Had to look for the waitress, and pry her away from her phone to get the check.

This place is huge! Came here before Beyonce’s concert at CitiField last night. The food was tasty. Just typical bar food. My friends and I ordered the app sampler, beef slider trio and Thor’s Hammer sangrias. Everything tasted good but the service was very slow as expected from a place that big. If it wasn’t for the super long waits for the food and drinks, I would’ve given it four stars. Otherwise, if you have time to kill before an event this is definitely the place for pre-gaming.

It sucks, workers do not pay any attention to customers. They to bust talking to other workers there. I didn’t know who is my bar tender was. no service at all. But they shocked me with there burger it’s very good. 4 star for jalapenos burger and fries.

For a restaurant/bar that is smacked into the side of CitiField, they can surely do a lot worse. If you’re familiar with the other McFadden’s location, you can rest assured, this is pretty much a carbon copy. The menu is standard pub fare, but they do it well. Wings, nachos and the burger were all decent(under no circumstances should these items be anything but decent), and the beer selection isn’t exclusive to the rebranded cat piss choices like Bud and Coors. Before a game, it’s absolute mayhem but it dies down and it’s not a terrible place to go afterwards. Far from my first choice, but if you’re there and feeling lazy, it’s a sensible choice.

Good pub type food. I had the nachos app and the curveball burger. Nothing crazy but it was good. It definitely beats the price if I were to have ate inside the stadium. Special shoutout to the server Gio who was very attentive and helpful.

Came here with a large group a little before the game ended and had a great time. The DJ was playing a great mix of hip hop and dance music, and really had no issue keeping us on the dance floor at all times. Drinks were all good, with standard pricing for a bar. If you are looking to have a good time after the game and especially if you don’t want to figure out what to do next look no further.

It is absolutely true about the bad DJ and how he BLASTS the music. He does his shmoozie talk in between songs that makes it feel like you are in a strip club. Last night, in between songs, he mentioned the death of Yogi Berra and encouraged everybody to buy a drink and toast yogi. Classless.

Great selection of beers. The setup is a little confusing when you first enter. I watch lots of people go around and sit at tables before going to the hostess seemed to be a big problem. Got the buffalo wings they were average.

Worst D. J Ever, under any circumstance. He BLASTS, I mean BLASTS his music at the highest volume possible. I’m in my 20s and would go there after games, except I know he’s going to be there and everything social revolves around him. You can’t talk to girls, your friends, hear the bartender, because this DJ Doesn’t have idea one how to play /adjust music. He’s also trashed on a bottle of Jameson that he has on his booth. I like to say that I’m a Party Cruise bartender and work with a ton of DJs and this guy at McFadden’s must be a relative of the owner who’s living out some dream of DJ-ing, cause there is no real reason to have him around. Horrible on Management’s behalf to keep him. P.S Do not go there if you have any type of hearing problem, issue or use a hearing aid. Took my hearing impaired Uncle to McFadden’s for the all Star Game, had to leave early and his head was buzzing because of the volume.

If you have tickets to Citifield or just want to come here for drinks its always a good time. This place its huge with plenty of seats, the bar stools are really big I feel like you could fit two people on them but I never tried. I usually end up here before or after a game since there is always a great vibe. The bartenders are nice and fast. The food is nothing special just bar food but it hits the spot. At night they do play music and it becomes sort of like a sports bar.

I always come here to drink my first beer before the game and sometimes go back after the game. I usually just get the beers because their mixed drinks are always watered down, womp womp. Three stars because I always have to wait minimum 10 minutes for a bartender to finally attend to me and my first experience with water down vodka and soda.

As a place to have a beer before or after a Mets game, this place isn’t awful. It’s huge and can get really packed but the bartenders seem to hustle. I didn’t try to eat any food so can’t comment on that. It is about what you’d expect from a faux-Irish pub that servers huge volumes of beer to your basic bros and their female counterparts.

It’s a decent sports bar to pregame and come after a New York Mets game. If you are trying to eat here it is a terrible place to come to. Staff does not clean the tables for you right away. You must grab a table for yourself. The staff takes forever to come to you if want drinks from the bar. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and tater tots. The bacon cheeseburger came out very cold. Tater tots were cold and very soggy. Terrible place to eat before a game.

Don’t know what to say about McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon, but I can tell you that my experience was a bomb. Not a bomb that was a wow or boo-ya good, but why did I come here. McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon is a large open space attached to Citi Field. The huge rectangular bar can accommodate 75 plus seats at the bar and a couple of hundred patrons between the inside and outside patio. It can accommodate large groups, it has plenty of dining room tables for food service and well place TVs throughout. Service was OK, but the staff looked like they had a rough night and this was at 4PM. Wannabe something college bartenders not my cup of tea any more. When you have the word«Saloon» in your name, give me old school bartenders. Strike 1, ordered a Bud Lite and I got one of those metal bottle style cans. I just hate these, but when in Rome, blah, blah, blah. I guess what I don’t like about these bottles is the taste. Just don’t like. Ball 1, checked in with Unilocal and receive a free draft of Bud or Bud Lite. Thank you Unilocal. Strike 2, Bud Lite draft was nasty. The beer line went skunk. Time to go. Overall, McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon has seen better days. It seem worn and old. It has a captive audience. There are no options in the area. It is the only place that is open before Met games in the area. I guess it is hit or miss style place.
