Expensive and bad sauce. I am a crab lover and been to so many crab restaurants but I can only say this one is expensive without the quality. The seafood are fresh. But the sauce we tried(O sauce) was too salty. I would rather go to other places with this price. don’t think we will come back again.

You must check this place out. To start the staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Soon as you walk in your are greeted with a smile and friendly faces. They make sure you are well taken care right up until you leave. The food, you just can’t go wrong! Freshest and the most plump Blue Point Oysters I have ever had. If you go during happy hour(4pm-7pm) You can get oysters for $ 1. You can’t beat that deal anywhere! Crab salad has a very healthy amount of crab meat and is made with a tasty sauce. The BBQ ribs are a large serving and are very meaty. Crispy Calamari, Garlic Bread, and amazing Cajun fries are all worth a try. Chicken Wings can be ordered spicy or mild. They are very Crispy and meaty. This is a must eat if you go here. You will not be let down and trust me you will be wanting to come for more the next day. Lobster, Crab, Crawfish are all cooked very well. They have different sauces you can have them cooked in I prefer the Garlic/Butter sauce. Once again fresh as fresh could be. Great selection of ice cold beers! For a seafood place the prices are just right, Actually I feel they are rather cheap for this type of service and great food. Check this place out. Wether you live in Flushing or not once you go here I guarantee you will want to be back later that week.

This place is amazing! Came here 3 times in 10 days. The food is amazing, and service is curteous and attentive. The manager greeted me and my party outside of the restaurant and convinced us to come in. Never expected to find a seafood restaurant like this in Flushing. So far I’ve had the O’Crab boil, and every appetizer/enter in the menu. Crab is cooked well, definitely pair it with the O’Crab sauce. If you’ve Joe’s crab shack this place will blow your taste buds! If for whatever reason you don’t want crab they have a few alternative options. Highly recommend the chicken wings. They are super crispy and juicy. Can’t say enough positive things about this place, check it out and try their Crab and wings, it’s a must have.

My boyfriend has become obsessed with this place. So obsessed that he has been there about 5 times in the last 2 weeks; twice with me. So far we have tried the O crab special is special sauce, the oysters, crawfish, shrimp and O App special. The boiled seafood is delicious. Nothing is over cooked. The oysters, shrimp and crawfish are large and the crab is always meaty. Also the crabs are half crab sections so you get body meat too(which is the best thing ever). The O crab sauce is tasty, lots of fresh garlic and a tangy flavor. The fire sauce(which we had on the complimentarily shrimp) is spicy(I can’t tolerate spice) but it was very flavorful, so much so that I was willing to wipe the sauce off and eat the shrimp because they were so good. The downsides I have seen so far; the appetizers platter was okay. They crab cake is packed with real veggies and crab but its a bit bland. The ribs were tough and the sauce is too sweet. The curly fries are good.

2nd time here. Decided to come on a weekday to take advantage of the happy hour deal. $ 15 for 1lb lobster, $ 1 blue point oysters and 50% off alcohol. The lobsters are still delicious. We got garlic and butter sauce and the o’crab special sauce for the lobsters and the sweet&spicy sauce for the shrimp. The sweet&spicy sauce was definitely our favorite. We ended up dipping the lobster in that sauce. The special o’crab sauce was a bit salty and the garlic butter was a bit bland. We got a lb of shrimp and it wasn’t that fresh… I would only come back for the happy hour deals…

A solid 3.5 stars. I’ve seen this place pop up all the time on but the wife and I finally decided to give it a try after seeing some other reviews. The concept is simple, Cajun style seafood boils with various types of available sauces. Place was clean and service was attentive. Best value was the $ 80 combo which came with a 1 pound each of shrimp, lobster, king crab and snow crab. We got the sweet and spicy sauce and we were pleasantly surprised. Sauce was great and on the day we went, seafood was fresh. I also like the fact that they give latex gloves to wear so as to prevent your hands getting too messy. It would definitely have more business if it was in a better location but it means there’s no wait. If you’re tired of Joe’s Crab Shack, this is a nice alternative.

The second time we went, the experience was pleasant as well but it was the next day that was not all very pleasant. We got food poisoning from here. The seafood we had was not fresh. Like last time, we ordered the shrimps. And this time we also tried the calamari, garlic bread and the Cajun fries. The garlic bread we got was not like the picture someone posted here with lots of garlic, it was just your regular store bought garlic bread. The Cajun fries was just OK. Some review said they put this garlic mix on top, we didn’t get any of that, so I suspect they changed it The shrimp was not as tasty or fresh as the last time. And the squid was just OK. The next day, we got very sick from the food. It’s such a shame, I really want them to do well. Again the waiters were very friendly. And i felt bad because they didnt have any customers when we were thete. But seafood is gotta be fresh guys

Oh crab, I’d be in trouble if you left me now Cause I don’t know where to look for seafood I just don’t know how. Apologies to the Chi-Lites and their early 70’s soul hits but my experience at O Crab certainly inspired feelings of despair if this establishment were to ever shut down and stop operations. Located in that other NYC Murray Hill, the one in Flushing, Queens that is off the subway grid, O Crab is the latest instantiation of Asian owned and operated Cajun inspired seafood eateries. Think of the notorious Boil in Manhattan but without the hour long wait, crowds queuing up and everything else that makes dining in Manhattan at times an exercise in misery, patience and Malthusian struggle. The O Crab interior consists of picnic tables of various size, some perfect for two or four people, others for four or more. Given the splattering mess that you will become while eating, there’s no need for refinery. The high ceiling makes the place will spacious and the spacing the tables reduces the odds of becoming seafood residue collateral damage. The Story of O continues… For $ 80, my wife and I shared the O Combo, which consisted of 1lb lobster, 1lb snow crab legs, 1lb king crab legs, 1lb shrimp, three pieces of corn, three potatoes and a piece of sausage thrown in for good measure. And our choice of sauce from options such as garlic butter, sweet and spicy or fire. Presented to us in a massive cauldron, our latex glove covered hands trembled in anticipation.(Of course, you can forgo protection depending on your risk appetite for messy hands and unsafe eating. Crabs can hurt…) So armed with the proper tools to crack open any shell, we dug in and began to systematically destroy the bounty of seafood. I went for the layer of shrimp first as the amount of effort was minimal and was well rewarded. The O Crab special sauce was an ever so slightly upgrade of Old Bay that gave just enough edge to the eats, without causing fire in my belly. By the end of the feast, one potato and piece of corn remained and a few crab legs. Wrapped up and ready for left overs, the $ 80 O Combo was worthy every cent. Latex gloves removed, hands washed and stomach satisfied, I mentally prepared for future encounters.

I’m not a big french fry fan but the last two times I came to O Crab their cajun fries were amazing! They had a ton of chopped garlic seasoning, which made them memorable!(in my book atleast) This morning, I woke up with those fries on my mind. I was determined to indulge today but I had to wait until they opened at 4. I had a few runs to make in the College Point/Flushing area anyways, so it would all work out. I placed my order over the phone and headed over there to pick up those delicious«garlic heaven» Cajun fries. Sadly enough, the fries I got were not the same ones I had dreamt about. They werent even the same size. Some were shoestring and others were thick cut *insert confused face* They tasted… ok…like some regular plain ol’ Cajun fries. I did notice when I opened the bag that the amount of fries seemed to be smaller but I wasn’t going to stress that. Then I also noticed the«garlic heaven» I was looking forward to, had went from a ton to a pinch :-(and they just added more Cajun seasoning. I guess I can’t really complain right? They are supposed to be Cajun fries… Hmm.I wonder if they’d give me a To Go container of that chopped garlic…

I was really in the mood for some seafood so I decided to order some take out. There was an option for online ordering on their website but it only allowed delivery. I called them for pick up and they said the food would be ready in 15 minutes. I ordered a lb of shrimp and cajun fries. I ended up getting there later than the expected wait time and I blame myself for the soggy fries. Parking is so difficult around the area and even though there was a parking lot in the back its completely full! I was happily snacking on the fries back home though. The cajun fries have a kick to it, not overly spicy but just enough so your mouth isn’t on fire. The lb of shrimp came with a corn on the cob and potato wedge. The shrimp can be seasoned with various sauces(garlic butter, hot, dry, mild, fire, or crab special). I tried the o crab special which was a mixture of garlic and old bay sauce. The sauce was pretty tasty but one of my pet peeves is not deveining the shrimp. Each shrimp had a huge chunk of black gunk. The shrimp also didn’t taste so fresh? Like rubbery if that makes any sense. I guess it was a little fishy when they said it would only take 15 minutes to prepare.

We were a party of three and we ordered the $ 80 combo with the fire sauce and a dozen clams with the ocrab special sauce. Both orders comes with potatoes and corn in the bag and an additional sausage for the combo. The lobster and shrimp wasn’t fresh, so it made my stomach kind of hurt. The snow crab legs was okay with the fire sauce. However, the clams were delish! They were fresh and big, but many of them were just the empty shell. :( Definitely prepare to get messy! The lobster claw pick definitely made eating the crab legs easier! I’m not sure if I’d give this place another chance. We had 4 pints of beer, $ 80 combo and the dozen clams; the total bill came out to be $ 150, which includes tax and tip.

Came here at 5pm on a Friday(they open at 4), and we were their only table. Throughout our whole meal, 2 others tables came to eat here. Most probably people come here later in the evening. It is needless to say, the staff(about 5 people working the whole floor at that hour) was very attentive. For the two of us we ordered the potato fish stick, Cajun fries, 1 sausage, and 2 pound of crawfish. The fish sticks were pretty standard, nothing outstanding or memorable about it. The Cajun fries were probably the best thing about our order. The taste was on point and the fries werent over fried or anything. The sausage tastes like sausage. It doesn’t come with any sauce so I’d say, skip it if you can. As for the crawfish, we ordered one pound with the o crab sauce, and another with the sweet and spicy. In my opinion, both sauces are very similar. You will barely notice any difference in taste, just that the sweet and spicy is slightly spicier than the O’crab sauce. Each bag you order of seafood comes with a piece of potato and corn. They both were very delicious and it seemed like they grabbed the seasonings and sauces well. As for the crawfish themselves, I think they were just fine. Not bad, not great. I think the whole place deserves 4 stars for trying this in flushing, but I took off 1 star because of their playlist. Perhaps this restaurant is not kid friendly, but they played quite a few songs here while we were dining that were very derogatory, racist and full of F words.

This establishment is the new kid on the block. With an already established reputation from Picnic Garden, those that wish to have something other than All you can eat Korean BBQ will most likely flock to this seafood joint. Food: The $ 80 seafood special was enough food for four people(To my knowledge, my friends might just be polite and not want to eat anymore). We also ordered a couple of appetizers, the Parmesan cheese Cajun fries(amazing!) and a half dozen raw oysters. Just add lemon and the amount of marinara sauce to your liking and dig in. I believe the oysters were blue point and are very fresh. We also ordered the New England Clam chowder. It was very hearty, I wish they give add more clams in the chowder though. The seafood special contains: Snow crab legs, a whole lobster, a bunch of shrimps, corns, potatoes and Italian sausages. mixed in a plastic bag of sweet and spicy sauce Be careful to all the people who don’t take spicy well, this is their lowest level of spicy sauce but it is still pretty spicy. Even for me, it was spicy, but good. I love spicy, but this was the right level to be able to enjoy it. I can’t imagine when they kick it up a notch and go like 2 levels higher. So I would recommend the sweet and spicy for even the experienced spice fanatics to test the water. The service is quite attentive. They always came to refill your water(You’ll need it if you ordered spicy sauce). Our waitress was very friendly. Gloves are supplied in an attempt to keep your hands free from all the sauce and mess. Décor: The restaurant looks very similar to the back of the newly renovated Mad for Chicken. It’s very much like a bar/picnic type of feel to it. The tables are covered with table cloth and a long sheet of paper towel to keep from the mess from spreading. Final thoughts: Overall, this restaurant was hands down better than my experience at Crazy Crab, The seafood just tasted more fresh and better quality(even though some of the food were frozen). I would definitely come back if my friends wanted a seafood type of experience that’s close by Queens. I still would prefer Claw Daddy’s in Manhattan. I still need to check out The Boil. P. S. Do not wear anything fancy/nice. The food will be messy to eat, juices from seafood will splatter at yourself or other people at your table. I speak from experience as I’ve accidentally shot snow crab juice onto my friend as I was cracking the shells… I’m so sorry(You know who you are).

O Crab. Not to be confused with O … something else. Food: we chose a sweet and spicy sauce special. $ 80 fed four people. After reading about the fries, I need to chime in: THEFRIESSTEALTHESHOW! FORGETTHESEAFOOD! JUSTORDERFRIES! There appears to be some fried Parmesan cheese in the Cajun Fries. I strongly recommend the fries! The $ 80 seafood special was surprisingly okay: the shrimp in the bag were certainly mushy, but recently frozen food is to be expected, I guess, though Costco does sell higher quality shrimp(tip to owner). There was a whole lobster inside, but it was obviously previously frozen. Nothing was overcooked! Snow crab legs were all kinds of awesome. OYSTERS! I almost forgot: the oyster appetizer was amazing. So fresh, almost as though the owner drove to Long Island to grab them from the shore. A little lemon, maybe add some marinara sauce, and you’re good to go. There were six to an order, I believe. Service: quite responsive — even better than your average Korean-American establishment. I like that they supplied every diner with gloves, but it appears that they are easily punctured by the seafood. I really needed wet napkins afterwards. Décor: the paper tablecloth protects the table, but little protects the diner’s face. Be sure to use the cheap napkin as a bib if you’re wearing anything worth saving. I had a snow crab shoot juice at my face(get your mind out of the gutter). Tip: parking is absolutely horrendous in this area on Saturday night. The parking lot is tiny and intensely full. Due to the popularity of many restaurants in this area, expect traffic congestion. O Crab is next to «Picnic Garden,» which also has a line out the door almost every night. So many carnivores in Flushing. Love it.

Got the $ 80 combo tonight. Thought the o crab sauce was good. But the shrimps and lobster were not fresh! Was a bit disappointed. Corn, potato, and noodles were good. Wish the seafood was more hot in temperature. If so, I would give the place a higher rating.

Great price, young staff and has a great divey-feel to it. Took forever for us to get our garlic bread but once we did, it was yumMAY! Ordered 1 lobster with 2 snow crabs all with the O Crab special sauce: salty, super garlicky and had a great Old Bay seasoning. Definitely sticking with it next time. Clam chowder was creamy but a little bland – maybe because the boil was so flavorful. ½ dozen blue point oysters were only $ 12 but über fresh! LOVED the brown paper table cloths, latex gloves were sturdy and didn’t break and so much fun.

I was very excited to learn about this Cajun seafood restaurant by my area. I’ve been dying to go back to The Boil but it’s just so far away. I was going in with high hopes so that I can easily come whenever I want! Thank god, it didn’t disappoint. Appetizer — Fried calamari and crab meat salad were pretty good. Cajun fries was a bit salty and sweet potato fries just didn’t have any surprise. DONOT order the clam chowder soup! It tasted like Chunky that will cost you $ 6 for a small bowl. Seafood — Dungeness crab was $ 35 each, a bit pricey but it was meatful. Shrimp was delicious with the ‘O’Hot sauce. It was just the right amount of spiciness. My husband loved the squid in ‘O’Garlic Butter sauce. He said he’s definitely going back for more. Crawfish was just crawfish. Each bag comes with corn and potato. I ordered a side of garlic bread. It was good but a bit too much garlic for my taste. All in all, it was a good meal and service was great. Should definitely try. Just be prepared to walk out smelling like garlic! I gave it only 4 stars because they didn’t have clams that night! I am a clam lover so I was very disappointed when I told they didnt have any clams! I will call in advance next time I go just to make sure they have clams.
