Made reservations 5pm on Thursday 12−24−15 for 9:45, they said ok. We are open till 10:15 — 10:30. I drove 25 minutes and i arrived 9:48 they said im sorry kitchen is closed!!! could you believe that? I said i have reservation? And i didn’t make it yesterday, i called in just 4 hrs ago!!!, there answer was simply im sorry the employees want to go home. Thats a 5 star for the worst customer service. They didn’t even bother trying to call at least to cancel. Sadly i was a customer there…

I have I think I have been there several times over the last several years although I haven’t been there lately. The service overall is quite slow and not attentive. The food is generally mixed with some things that are excellent and and something thinner average. The prices overall are fairly high. I have been there only one recently as I really do not overall enjoy the experience ofthis establishment. Under normal circumstances will not go back.

This restaurant is Kosher. I asked for three different things from the menu and each time, I was told they did not have it… so I went with my fourth choice. They do not time the food well at all. They just bring out random stuff as it is ready which means you won’t be eating with the rest of your table. Bad service.

What happened? The service just gets worse over time. Over the last year the place has been neglected. Half the menu is never available. Food takes forever to come out. After a 40 minute wait, they bring out all the appetizers and entrees at once . Management is either not around or doesn’t care about any complaints. I don’t plan on every going back.

I was very surprised and have to admit things have changed. There are lots of improvements that have been made in this establishment, The service, the food, and the atmosphere. I ate here a couple of times and was disappointed. My wife decided to try them again and I was very satisfied and they exceeded my expectations. For now I give them four stars I want to try them again and see if it was just luck or they really did improve.

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch during the week. I agree with many of the others who have commented that the hot dishes are particularly good but the sushi is less so. We had the udon soup and dim sum dumplings to start, all of which were delicious. The soup had a very rich flavor, nice crisp vegetables and tender beef. The dumplings were better than average. He had the short ribs, which were beyond good. The meat was well seasoned and great texture(fall off the bone). My sushi, however, was another story. I got one item instead of my intended order and there was a bit too much fried, overcooked tempura batter in each. The fish felt less than fresh. The waiter was charming, attentive and very accommodating. There is a fish tank along the length of one wall which is beautiful. In all, I think it is worth traveling back to but I would NOT get the sushi again.

Got food poisoning… awful food(none of it was fresh, and almost certain much of it was defrosted) and terrible service. I never write reviews, but wanted to warn others. I ate here years ago and it was great, guess it went downhill, such a shame.

Went here earlier today because our usual sushi place was closed… Never again! They charged $ 1.50 for a Lipton black tea bag and hot water, If you call yourself a sushi restaurant, you provide green tea! This is a must for me. Their«lunch menu» included a salad and a miso soup, but at $ 18, it’s not worth it. Salad was not bad and that is why they have two stars… The miso soup was more like mushroom and tofu soup. The tofu tasted old and not the soft smooth tofu that is served at other places. On to the actual sushi, I got the spicy combo that had spicy salmon, spicy tuna and a spicy Cali roll. The rolls were all loose, the rice was semi-hard and tasted like it was from the night before. The fish itself was just gross. It didn’t taste anything like fish… Nor was it «spicy», it did have the red color and that’s all. I’m still in fear that I will be sick any minute now… I would rather get supermarket sushi than to eat here again.

Price inflated sushi and the quality isn’t even that great! To borrow a line from one of the last real Rabbis and to keep it ‘real’ NEVERAGAIN!

Usually i’m too lazy to write any reviews but thinking of this past experience really makes my blood boil: — Freaking Jewish Joint, posing with a Japanese name… SUXZBIGTIME… So disgustingly bad & tasteless i couldn’t even swallow the foods… dirty dishes, glasses, utensil… not to mention all the snobbish’ness attitude we get from being the only 2 non-jewish there… especially from the front counter guy the moment we stepped in… No greets or welcomes of any kind until a server finally came by with us standing at the host stand for almost 10mins… and it wasn’t even busy… Should have left then… n the prices are unbelievably, exorbitantly over priced for such incredibly inedible food…$ 90+ for 1 appt, 1 so called sushi roll, i entrée and 1 glass of hse wine… Total waste of my $$$ & time!!!

hmm… where do I start!!! First, I have be fair, this restaurant was recommended by most of my Jewish friends who’s never had non-kosher food before. Therefore, this is probably the best kosher Japanese food available. As for my non-kosher palates, this restaurant was a very bad experience for me since i was expecting to be «wow-ed». I ordered Shu Mai and some sushi, sushi was fine, but Shu Mai ended being microwaved vegetable dumplings sitting in a soup based. Shu mai does not come in soup for anyone that doesn’t know what shu mai is. I ended up with an overpriced bill for sushi that was«ehhh». Therefore, 2 stars.

My husband and I used to love this restaurant, last time we went though we were a little disappointed by the service and the food. Maybe it was because it was Saturday night but the sushi didn’t feel too fresh and the food in general wasn’t as good as usual — we left pretty disappointed — unfortunately this won’t be our first restaurant choice next time we want to dine out.

This is my favorite place to get sushi in queens. It is always so fresh tasting– the dragon roll is insanely good. They have some very creative menu items and i always enjoy what i eat over there.

good place, gets too crowded after 7. Actually I had a business meeting there around 6:45 we got kicked out from the place around 8:30. Manager Avi told us that he wants other people to enjoy the food so if we can be kind enough to wrap up with our food so others can enjoy it. Makes me question if I ever want to go back there again.
