Matty was amazing! Some friends and I drove down to Folly Beach from Charlotte for a girls trip and got bikes from him. It was so nice interacting with nice genuine kind-​hearted person running a business with Christian values. Not only was he incredibly helpful and kind, he was also a pleasure to talk to. Thank you Matty, for making our trip a good one!

I am very confused by some of the other reviews because we had a wonderful experience. The bikes
great condition and have a comfortable ride. Matthew was very good at fitting us to correct bike size. His service was friendly and he went above and beyond. I will definitely return there when I am in Folly again.

I really debated to write this review or just let my experience w/​Matty just pass. However since I have never had such a Rude, vulgar, condescending and obscene experience with the owner I decided to write a review. All went down hill fast when after asking if owner would give a discount for three bikes. All owner had to say was «I do not give discounts» and that would have been fine but owner went into a vulgar, mean and disrespectful rant that ended with a bible lesson. Bottom line is bikes are $ 40 for the week regardless of how many bikes you rent. Folly beach adventures are $ 35 and very nice people. Based on other reviews of cool breezes this was not an isolated incident but how Matty runs his business and often times is unpredictable and not nice.

Great bikes from a really nice guy. Matthew had the bikes already delivered at the house we rented for the week…16 bikes… all in great shape. Even put new lights on bikes. 40.00 included delivered bikes w locks, lights and girl bikes had baskets. Even followed up to check and make sure we were happy w bikes and to recommend some places to ride to on the island.

AVOID! I walked up to look at his bikes and see what time he opened (it was about 9:00am). I wasn’t there more 20 seconds when his dogs started barking and he came out yelling at me for standing there and threatened to call the police for making his dogs bark.

The guy was rude and condescending to us and super confusing about his rates (he was ‘closing’ and insisted we pay $ 20 for overnight although he had just quoted us $ 5/​hour). We went across the street to folly beach bike rentals and they treated us much better. Go there instead.

I’m a local who has purchased two amazing 3G cruisers from Matty. We also use him when our families come to Visit! He gives us the best deals around. I work at Tides/​Blu and we send people to Matty all the time. He is always very prompt and helpful. He can deliver bikes and if you get a flat or need something fixed he is right there! If your in folly and you need to get around this is the place to go! Best place to rent a bike in town! If you want to buy make sure you shop around them talk to Matty he beat the best number I got and split it in half! He’s amazing! My wife and I consider him family!
