Awesome sammies, and the owner Steve is a cool cat. I always get the surfin bird, turkey, cream cheese, bacon, and avocado. Beware even the small is huge and packed with meat, that’s why I love it!

I first discovered beach hut deli when I was living down in HB& it quickly became one of my go to sandwich spots. After moving up to Folsom for work, I was pleased to learn that Beach Hut Deli had 2 locations in town. I have been to both locations & sometimes you have to wait 10 – 15 minutes for your sandwich, but I love the beach themed atmosphere. Not to mention the fact that I can enjoy a cold beer while I watch sports of one of the HDTV’s. I was craving one of their sandwiches so I went today & got a surfin bird to go. BHD didn’t disappoint & the sandwich was tasty!

Stopped hear on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm, the sandwiches were actually pretty good but the service was extremely slow. Over 30 minutes to order sandwiches to go.

It has been years since I have stepped into a Beach Hut. Blame my Unilocal disease. Symptoms are the never ending need to try new places. I have been going to some chain restaurants recently and today was Beach Hut’s turn. Met the mrs for lunch and while the place was packed our sandwiches were made quickly. I went with«The Islander»,(Pocino Roast Beef, Cheddar, butter sautéed red onion, lettuce and tomato with a dollop of the house made 1000 island on a toasted sweet roll). This is easily my new go to sandwich. The roast beef was wonderfully lean and the sautéing really toned down the sharpness of the onion. There was a hint of garlic possibly from the 1000 island and then the sandwich was brought home with a touch of sweetness from the toasted roll. This was a dang fine sandwich. Keep up the good work Beach Hut.

Alright, so there I was on my break, starving and depleted of energy. I needed sustenance, I needed food, I wanted something delicious. By happenstance I noticed beach hut, while on my way to AutoZone. I’ve never been, so I thought what the hay, l. I walked in, abd dig the vibe. The cashier was very friendly, gave me time to look over the menu. I ended up ordering the Malibu, but with no Italian dressing. She rings me up and from behind her I here«aww, no Italian dressing? That’s the best part. I think, he’s the cook, he knows his business» I say add it on. And you know what, he was not lying. It was amazingly good, and it was indeed the best part. People should eat here all the time.

Love beach hut but was bummed out when I tried to have dinner there tonight(Saturday). Closed at 5pm. Why are they open later during the week than they are on the weekends???:(Darn it!

I’ve given this place at least 5 chances now, I’m never going back. Although, I’ve said that every time. Seriously, could this place take any longer to make 2 sandwiches? We were the only people in there, with simple to order items, yet it took 15 minutes. No joke, it’s like this every single time I go, not to mention how overpriced it is. Hiring pretty girls is not enough to retain repeat customers, especially since Firehouse went in, that’s where I will be going from now on.

$ 14 for a MEDIUM sub. Absolutely ridiculous. There sandwiches are some the best I’ve had, but not worth upwards of $ 20 per person once you get chips and a drink. So sad to see.

Went here on labor day at lunch and it was dead. Kind of curious and found out why. $ 17.85 for a large turkey sub combo. That’s really steep, first and last time going to a beach hut. Interior is all surf themed, I just moved back from socal and kind of tired of the beach and surf theme but I suppose it’s a nice change to the folsom area. Service is fast but they take a really long time to make a sub. I’m a veteran and I’m deaf in my right ear and I have to wear a hearing aid, and the music is extremely loud that I could definitely hear it. Sandwich was okay. Still not worth $ 17.85 that’s just ridiculous. If you’re coming here, your wallet is going to get pretty thin. A standard turkey sub was that price, don’t even want to know what their themed subs cost.

We are Beach Hut Nuts! This location in particular has an especially relaxed/chill vibe. We’ve seen the owner here several times speaking with what I assume are long time patrons. I like that. My favorites to order are the Beach Bikini sandwich or the Marley Nachos.

This place has really yummy sandwiches. I’ve always had great service at this location, however the location on Greenback was slower than molasses in an igloo! You should try the Skinny Dipper. A small sandwich here is absolutely huge! They are a little overpriced though…

Wow where to start, I gave them two stars because the food was good once I received it, I got two sandwiches not to mention I was the only customer in the store. Well they made one and gave it to me then I proceed to wait 20 minutes thinking they where making my other one. I then asked them and they told me they had forgot I had another one. The customer service was terrible I will never go to this beach hut deli again.

I am a big fan of Beach Huts. I have hit most of the Beach Hut Delis in the area and have always liked the food. This is a good location. I try to get there at off times because it can take awhile to get a sandwich when it gets crowded. And if it is really busy forget it. The staff is very polite and makes a great sandwich; I think they just get overwhelmed at times. They are a younger staff for sure but they have never acted in an immature manner that I have seen. The sandwiches are pretty hefty so it is a hard call to say they are overpriced = maybe just a little overpriced. The place is clean and well maintained and I like the décor. The inside is pretty narrow; if there are more than a few people waiting for food it is a trick to get through. The outside is nice so there are a few options. I have been here a few times and will be coming back.

My initial review is almost exactly 6 years old so it’s time to do an update… I’ve enjoyed a few new items over the years, such as the wedge salad and the Sunburn, both are excellent. Not sure if it’s ALWAYS available but this location has had something called the«Spiffy Jiffy» that’s a surprisingly good combination of flavors(roast beef, provolone, pickle, peanut butter). My fave is still the Santa Cruz(hot pastrami), but I do branch out once in a while and have yet to be disappointed. In terms of service, I’ve had nothing but great experiences here(ATTHISFOLSOMLOCATION, for those of you who don’t pay attention when you write a review on Unilocal, they are location-specific). The owner of THIS location is on the ball, very friendly and cares about the customers and I’ve always been greeted with a smile by the friendly staff. To those who claim the girls are rude, you get what you give people! If you walk in with a scowl on your face and shout your order to them, are you expecting them to sing«Shiny Happy People» for you with a line out the door? When you first walk in, nobody can see you until you get up near the counter so they can’t greet who they can’t see and it would be pretty robotic if they just keep saying«welcome to Beach Hut» whenever they hear the door open. Just food for thought… Just to remind people… This is a DELI… delis make sandwiches, sandwiches typically consist of MEAT along with a variety of accompanying items, clearly listed on the menu. There are TWO designated vegetarian sandwiches(that list the exact ingredients) and a fantastic wedge salad(includes bacon but I’m sure they’d exclude if asked), so yes they are limited on vegetarian selections but their ingredients are fresh so if you order a vegetarian sandwich knowing what’s on it and are disappointed, maybe you don’t like vegetarian sandwiches? Is that their fault? I’d be willing to bet that if asked nicely, they may be willing to edit any sandwich by simply removing the meat to make it vegetarian… anyone thought of that? Let me give a tip for those who haven’t been here yet, it’s not cheap, even though they do have a selection of simple sandwiches that are less than the signature menu but there is a reason… the sandwiches here are not big rolls with a light layer of meat/cheese and a pile of filler lettuce, they are PACKED with the listed ingredients and hearty. Back to price, you can see the prices on the menu and what you get for that price so if $ 8 or even $ 10 is too much for you, don’t order and then complain about the price! I’m a regular and for lunch, if I’ve had a decent breakfast, the small is plenty of that«hit the spot» feeling unless you’re known to inhale a Subway footlong in 5 minutes and are looking for a snack 30m later… get the medium. The large is seriously for someone who’s sharing or eats like it’s their last meal regularly. NOTE: NO I’m not the owner, don’t work there, have never worked there, but you’re damn right I will defend this place against people who write BS reviews, or reviews about other locations.
