This was my first time ever at a firehouse subs, this was on my hour lunch break. I got the Italian sandwich with turkey instead of ham. When I ordered the guy said it would be 5 minutes. Okay I get that you are quoting a time frame and I am not going to really hold you to it but 20 minutes! And the thing that really irritated me was that my order was for togo and I wondered what was taking so long as I had seen a sandwich sitting on their oven in a bag. Well needless to say they never called my name and I had to go get it so it was sitting their for like 10 of my 20 minute wait. I will definantly be back but if it happens again I will let their management know as this wasnt cool. I am tho still craving one of their sandwiches!

Tried this place for the first time and I wasn’t to impressed. It’s average and about as good as subway. Enough meat on the sandwich but the bread has no taste. It’s plain, thin and bland. Was hoping for good sour dough roll. Won’t be going back, lots of better places.

Grest service but the food was ok at best. They put hot meat on a cold sub, which needless to say made everything warm and hard to enjoy. I wanted a cold sandwhich. Not a warm soggy one. The employees where super nice. Very accomidating. I had to have my sandwhich made again because they put mayo on after I asked for to be held. No biggie. Just didn’t like the hot meat on top on cold toppings combination. I didn’t want to be more of a pain i had a few bites and took home. There I took it apart and munched on the meat and cheese. Disappointing. :(

Quite excellent sub sandwiches. I had the specialty engineer sandwich(turkey, cheese, fully loaded with veggies) and it was very tasty. The bread was a bit heartier than I’d have preferred, so that made it a little hard to take small bites, but overall I really enjoyed this sandwich(I did, however, have to ask for some spicy brown mustard to give it some zip!). Maybe next time I’ll ask if they can hallow out the bread :) My husband got the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket… OMG, this sandwich is amazing. I don’t tend to care for red meats, so I didn’t want to order this, but after he took his first bite he INSISTED that I had to at least give it a taste. I would definitely be ordering this next time. It was insanely flavorful and tender. I also really appreciated how accommodating the staff was when we entered the restaurant. We explained that it was our first time to this shop, so they were patient with explaining menu items to us and helping us get our orders placed.

Honestly. You haven’t lived till you’ve have one of these sandwiches. I feel my arteries clogging with my Italian toasted sub already! Service is pretty fast, and the drink machine is the coolest thing ever. You can have Vanilla Coke, or Cherry Pepsi… whatever your heart desires! This is not like Subway. You won’t regret it.

Giving it five stars even though the food was kind of a four. Really nice and accommodating staff… extremely patient. Long story long, I had about three weeks prior taken a bite from one of their subs for the first time and it was so delicious I took another huge bite even though I had only been offered one. Fast forward to my first visit to the store and priding myself on my fine education, excellent communications skills and stellar command of the English language I explained to the staff what I wanted like this: «Well, it was like all meat… just meat on this really delicious white bun. May I please look at your meat?» By this time three employees had joined me and were pulling meat out of the containers so I could view it. What I ended up with was sorta what I had wanted but not equal to the sub I had previously tasted. So really not their fault for not being able to understand what I wanted to order. I even used my hands while talking. What more could I do?

I dislike the way they shake you down at the counter. The young man behind the register seems incompetent, lunch time on a busy Friday is not the time for OJT. There are other places with less challenges. Each time I come here it is something

***-The subs are great. Good flavor and fresh each time. ***-The décor is good and place is pretty clean. If you eat there, it’s pleasant and everything works fine. * If you place an order line… do it right before you plan to pick it up. If you do it too early they can’t find it, even though the website allows you to order several hours in advance. Ordered subs about 3:30 pm for a 6:00pm pick up. They couldn’t find the order even with an order number. Evidently there is a limitation to how many orders they can view and if yours is too far back and prepaid — Sorry you are out of luck! There isn’t a real effort to help, you have to «prove» that you have a prepaid order. Great subs! Horrible online experience!

Updated review. After a crazy wait time which resulted in an overall bad experience for me, ownership reached out to me and gave me a good reason to give them another shot. Well, I’m back and impressed. The sandwich came quick and was pretty darn good. They’re a little pricey but definitely high quality. I give them a lot of props for reaching out to me too.

This place has some pretty tasty sandwiches. On my receipt, they stamped it of me so that I can return for a free sandwich during certain hours. I guess its slow during those hours and they don’t mind offering this to patrons. I don’t know if they offer that every time though. Anyway, I recommend this deli. All the ingrediants are fresh as well as the bread. I thought it was a bit pricey and so only because of that, I give it 4 stars.

Received a coupon in the mail at my office. Decided to try it out. Upon walking in the décor is lovely. Staff was friendly. Ordered my sandwich and loved the free topping choices. Went to get my soda from the fancy soda mixing machine and sat down. Bread was soft and sandwich was really good. Love there condiment selection too. Highly recommend this restaurant. Kids under 12 eat free after 4 too.

Get the Hot n Sweet Meatball Sub. As far as subs go, this is one of the best spots. I’ve only had one thing my entire time coming here and it is the hot n spicy meatball sub because of it rich flavor and plump meatballs. What’s more is that you can also change the levels of heat on your sandwich, I’ve never had this ability anywhere else which is why I gave it 5 stars. Important Note: A large is really a large at this spot, so order accordingly.

I have been to the firehouse subs three times now, including on my wedding anniversary! I am willing to drive all the way from Elk Grove, a distance of 25 – 30 miles for an affordable delicious meal at this new restaurant. That should tell Unilocalers how much I love this place! What exactly do I love? The turkey bacon ranch eight inch sub along with the fantastic cherry limeaid and the firehouse hot sauce which I put generously on my sandwich. My husband really enjoyed the footlong steak sandwich, the one that is like a Philly cheesesteak. My whole family is loving this place as well. My mom and dad and his brother and family are regulars, too. I only hope that a location opens in Elk Grove soon!!!

First time here. Came in because the line at chipotle was unreal. Anyways I get to firehouse subs, I order, guy, at counter asks if I’ve been there before? I say no. (He should already be telling me a whole bunch of info, but doesn’t) I order a cheese steak, he asks white or wheat bread? I order white. Seriously in the middle of taking my order, another employee is ask him questions? And he get confused. Then asks me again white or wheat bread? White bread please! Carrying on his conversation with the employee, at the same time, getting me to get the combo, blah, blah, blah. Paid and sat down. My food is ready, and I’m like where’s my cup? So I stand back in line, one person ahead of me. He is also taking the orders, I find out that you can add whole bunch of toppings. :[ great wish I had known or I should’ve just asked. Whateves, I get a plain sandwich! Okay, so literally as I step up to the counter to get my cup that he Forgot to give me. He turns arounds, wtf! Okay YOU’RERUDE! Some other guy behind him asked him what I needed. FINALLYSHIT. CANT A GIRLGETSOMESODASHEPAIDFOR. Oh btw I should’ve just went to chipotle the guy who was in line next to me came out the same time I was walking back to the car. Ratings: ZERO stars: Cashier/Order taker employee, and the other employee that was talking. Seriously. You’re talking to each other, I’m a person too, I just want you to listen so that I can go. ONE star: soda machine flavors. ONE star: food came out fast. Oh yeah and the subs was so-so, nothing to remember.

So I had this week where I had gone way over my food budget, and I get this coupon in the mail for a free sub at the new Firehouse location. Score. Thank you, universe. I had some difficulty finding this location, mostly due to the fact that whatever gene is needed to read maps was not installed in my brain. According to my reading of the map, Firehouse should have been right where Wingstop or The Habit was. Nevermind that I worked in this parking lot for 8 years. I finally found it, right next to the new Smokeless Smoking store, facing East Bidwell. I thought, «Why couldn’t the flyer just have told me that they are in the old cupcake store?» Ugh. I suck at geometry. Well, Firehouse definitely has some good stuff going on. The interior is the most spacious that I have ever seen from a sandwich joint, and it’s super cute. There are a plethora of teenagers willing to explain how subs work– maybe due to the fact that they just opened and have coupons for free subs out to everyone in Folsom. Still, it was a big help, because I’d never been here before, and the menu was very different from my usual favorite sub places. Luckily, there is this spinning menu at the register that explains which toppings are included for free, which are extra, which meats and breads you can choose, etc. So I ordered a regular sized sandwich on wheat bread with pastrami, bacon, and all of the regular toppings except mayonnaise, and add cucumbers and peppercinis. My total was around eighty cents(for adding bacon) and I was asked if I wanted to donate the difference from a dollar to the fire station. Oooooh, okay, now I understand your name, and why there is so much fire station décor. My favorite type of sub is Dutch crunch with pastrami, bacon, cream cheese, and avocado, but Firehouse has neither Dutch crunch, cream cheese, or avocado, so I had to go in a new direction. The wheat bread was, well, not good. Like, I didn’t know that there was such a thing as fast food wheat bread until now. The pastrami was okay, except I guess I forgot to ask for it hot. The cucumbers were not present. The mustard was also not present– the«no mayonnaise» must have been mistaken for«dry.» There was one small triangle of cheese hiding at one end of my sub. Hmmm. The location is cute. The customer service SEEMED stellar, but my order was wrong, and not good. Good intentions, bad results. P. S. I know the thing I’m bad at is called geography. I’m actually really good at math. You’re kind of bad at math. Anyways, now I’m failing. Isn’t that funny?

I loved their sandwiches. Great variety of sandwiches. My kids will go nuts over their soda machine of 120+ drink choices. I had a cherry vanilla coke and a steak cheese sandwich with bell pepper, onions and mushrooms. They have this sauce bar that has about 30 sauces. I got the Firehouse pepper sauce and it was killer on my sandwich. Shoot had some on my eggs in the morning and it was killer. It is a spicy ketchup sauce so any thing you would put salsa or ketchup on it would go great on it. You have to try these sandwiches.

First try Firehouse is next to my favorite supplement store so I thought I would give it a try. Overall pretty good but they have some kinks to work out. It’s new so I will give it another try sometime and see how it goes. Pros: Service was polite. Food came out quick for me. They have any expediter who keeps things going. My sandwich was very good(maybe a bit too much bread for the meat but good). Location seemed very clean. Great soda machine. Cons: No real line. A mass of people started forming around the register during my visit. Luckily after me! A person I know got there before me and ordered but their sandwich got«lost». The expediter noticed her and took care of it, but I already had my food so it was a bit of a wait for her. They may need a better order/number tracking system. A bit pricey for the size of the sandwich and the bread overwhelmed the meat. Parking lot is a debacle to get in or out of! — Once the kinks get worked out I could see another star for this place.
