Nice Tex Mex restaurant. Liked the chips and salsa. I had the pollo Asado plate and it was great. Wouldn’t mind coming here again. It’s small but not overcrowded.

went into Taco Loco just a short time ago. inside is a little confusing, large bar to the right with seats, and seats and tables to the left, other people eating. I came in and sat down. staff walked past me several times, did not say hi or acknowledge me. I had my laptop out and was working. not sure why I was not acknowledged, really not that busy. I just don’t get it – nobody came and took my order, nobody said hi, absolutely pitiful establishment. FYI for any person/owner please make sure to say hi and take your customers order in a timely manner. I was planning on lunch and I am a fabulous tipper. nevertheless, I will not return, and that is sad.

Ordered a burrito but felt nickeled and dimed to death: extra for sour cream, extra for cheese, and extra for guacamole! What happened to the super burrito?! Otherwise pretty boring fare and nothing to write home about. It’s definitely time to replace the worn out vinyl on the booths.

First time here. Fast and friendly service! Truely authentic, fresh tasting made from scratch Mexican food. The chips and salsa were the bomb! Totally recommend the chicken tortilla soup — very generous with the meat portions. They have two new customers for sure

Yo love taco loco! It’s a fun atmosphere with delicious food and even better margaritas! I can go there with my friends or my parents and always have a good time. The bar tender, Ashley, is the best! But beware of her strong drinks! Haha

I have been to Taco Loco many times but have never tried the food. Always kind of considered it a bar. Today the Mrs. and I went by for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food is. The ordering process is a little different. It has the look of a full service restaurant but you actually order at the register and they bring the food out ala Carl’s Jr. or Wendy’s. We shared a appetizer of the house made Flour Chips. These thing are amaze-balls!!! They are made on site and fried and come out hot and literally melt in your mouth. I have never had a better chip. The salsa’s all have great body and are fresh and well made. For my entrée, I went with two tacos. One with Carne Asada and one with Pollo. The tacos are a soft flour tortilla with protein, pinto beans and pico de gallo and come with a side of corn tortilla chips. They load up the protein, the beans are a little weird but overall an A-OK taco and I ordered two. I think you will be full with one. Honestly, I will come back just for the flour chips and booze. I was quite impressed today.

This place will forever receive 5 stars from me. I don’t care if I arrive when it’s the AM cook or the PM cook– I know it’s going to not only be tasty– but CONSISTENT. I’ve learned to keep it simple. Chile relleno, jicama salad, or pezole. ½ nachos w/chickie and lettuce wraps are hella bombie too. The cooks also accommodate any dietary concern that you may have(which is rad). The absolute, crucial key is to hit up T-Loc when Ashley(T-Dub) or Erin are tending bar and also Macie taking care of the front end… These ladies are super, amazingly attentive and let’s be honest– are super easy on the eyes ;) You don’t have to listen to cheesy bar jokes nor do your drinks remain empty for half hours at a time. The salsa bar is on fleek. Always fresh and full. Amazing variety– anything you would want to dip your chip(or whatever else you have in mind) into. They have two juicers that pump fresh juice all f****** day long. #greyhounds #boom #thebest #dontkid The ambiance is crucial here, you come to escape, but yet you also come here to feel at home. Some days it is an intimate bar where everybody knows your name, whereas other days it’s a secret watering hole where you are a new face in the taco loco world. Honestly, it could be a hit or miss here. But if you play your cards right it could be a hit every single time. BESTBARINFOLSOM.

This is my favorite place to hide out in Folsom. The food is amazing and the fresh fruit cocktails even better. The bartenders are all on point and there really isn’t a bad seat at the bar. Much Love Taco Loco, see you in a couple days.

Been coming here for years! The owner is awesome, cooks are awesome, bartenders are awesome… Food is awesome LOL. We always eat at the bar & if Ashley is bartending I always get my guava rum drink(AMAZING). If Juan is bartending I ask him to surprise me… I’ve never been let down! Your supposed to order at the registers, but again I’m at the bar area, so I order there! The waitresses are very sweet & attentive & the food really is DELICIOUS! Jorge(the cook) is an artist & really sweet! I suggest the shrimp cocktail, lobster burrito or tacos, shrimp or fish tacos, spinach salad w/steak & carrot dressing & the flautas! All soooo good! Stop by if you’ve never been there & check it out! The TV’s are always on & there’s always a great vibe inside! CHEERS!

This truly is the best Mexican food around. The fresh squeezed juice in the drinks are the best. I have also always had a great time!

This is a great place to pop in and have a quick taco or burrito or maybe an adult beverage. Their service is so-so and their food is average, but believe it or not we still enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. With all that, it’s not uncommon to find us enjoying a cocktail and good company.

Taco Loco is my absolute favorite«go to» place when I am hungry and in need of company! The chille rellano is A-mazing, as are the crispy tacos. house made chips(served warm), bean dip, quesadilla’s… I could go on! My favorite drink is either a margarita, or the White Linen with muddled blackberry’s. Sooo, so good! Thank you Juan Carlos and all the ladies! The second very best thing about Taco Loco is the people. It is a friends and family kind of place, and you are bound to know someone when you go there! The owner Frank is always on site to greet you, and the food is always fresh and soooo tasty! My favorite place for sure! :)

Food was alright, little expensive compared to similar spots — the one thing that stood out was the service, not good. I don’t get on Unilocal much and it’s usually to rave about a great place I just want to see succeed — this however is not one of those times. Just a thought, Taco Loco — spend a little less time hosting to the 5 folks seated around the bar and little more time filling up water glasses and passing out menus to the 20 you have seated.

I seriously don’t see how this place could have any good reviews. Everything I had seemed watered down. Salsa, margarita, and food had no flavor at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if owner paid people to put those good reviews on there. I would be embarrassed if I brought any of my Mexican friends here. Service and prices were equally as bad. I am so disappointed that I wasted my time and money there. Go there yourself if you don’t believe this review. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…

I had some fish tacos here over the weekend. And they were pretty good. Yesterday I thought I would try it again for dinner. I ordered the chili Colorado dinner! It only had five small pieces of beef in it. Beans tasted like canned rosarita beans. What a rip off for 15 $ I won’t be going back here Again. If you want a more filling meal go to Lotus 8.

We had the churros at our company holiday party and they were salty. Yuck. The owner claims that he tried them before they went out, and they were great. I realize everybody has different tastes, but churros should definitely not be salty. Taco Loco won’t help us resolve the matter or even apologize for our dissatisfaction. Crappy customer service and crappy churros means we will not be coming back.

Taco Loco? More like Taco No-Go! I’ll tell you what’s loco, spending $ 40 and leaving a restaurant still hungry. The entire ordering process is weird. There’s a bar but you purchase your beverage at the cash register? Whatever. I ordered the two mini fish taco combo plate($ 10) — overpriced, bland, and a joke. I hope there isn’t a sign ANYWHERE in or around the establishment that reads«authentic Mexican food», because the crap they were serving is about as authentic as Taco Bell. Moving onto the«house margarita»($ 9) — overpriced and extremely watered down with crap sweet and sour mix. When I told the bartender I didn’t like it and didn’t want him to remake it, he was a wise ass and asked what he should do, which I then asked him what he THOUGHT he should do. He chuckled and said he wouldn’t refund my money because he’s already wasted alcohol, and that I should have spent $ 1 more for their«top shelf margarita», since it has better tequila(supposedly) in it. He tried to make amends by bringing me a tequila floater, which I left on the table. Perhaps I’m being a wench and prideful! Either way, if I didn’t want your crap margarita before, I wouldn’t want it now with EXTRA crap tequila. Disregard this restaurant, seriously. On a positive, I quite enjoyed my water and flour tortilla chips, but not enough to EVER come back.

I’m surprised I’ve never been to this place before. I’ve typically been the kind of guy that goes to Adalbertos & Dos Coyotes, but this place is a real gem. Walked in for lunch and it was fairly busy. Wanted to sit at the bar top but it was full. I ordered the al pastor burrito enchilada and it was great. A lot of places don’t have al pastor and they made it really well here. The only other place that has great al pastor is Chungas in SLC and I’ve been lucky enough to eat there too. I’m hoping to continue visiting this place when I come back to Folsom.
