A-1 sauce? Seriously? Beef kabob zero spice and tough to cut and chew. Lettuce salad, 1 olive, 1 slice cucumber, 1 small dice of tomato, half teaspoon ground feta, vinegar dressing with few drops of oil. Accompanied by small, tough, dry pita pieces. Not even close to Greek foods I have had here or in Greece. Our server, Nick, was very pleasant.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Folsom, and I have been going since I was 3 years old. The gyro and babaganoush are my favorites. Rocky, the owner, is also very friendly and welcoming.

We have been going to Kabob House for the last 25 years — we walked into it the day we moved to Sacramento and have been going ever since. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. Rocky is a great host and we feel like we are being entertained in his home. The service is great — it does take time to cook good food this is not a fast food place so we expect to wait a reasonable amount of time and eat the delicious Hummus/Babaganoush and pita while we wait. Every dish we have eaten, is consistently delicious. The Moussaka is out of this world. The Felafel is great. We love the Gyros. The Tzatziki is refreshing and delicious. We have been taking friends and out of town visitors and they have always eaten to the last crumb and gone back for more. There is no place in Folsom that serves food like Kabob House.

The food was excellent. So, why three stars? Yesterday, we ordered take out because it was just my assistant manager and me on a busy Friday. We called in an order for three things to be delivered. Two of them were identical. We both ordered the Kabob dinner and an order of Hummus. We received the Kabob meals. No Hummus. That’s right they made a serous error on a three item order by leaving out the third item, and remember, the first two items were identical. How, in Heaven’s name, do you leave something out of a three item order? Needless t say, even though what we received was excellent, I will never patronize this restaurant again. I’ll not go there, I’ll not order takeout and I will relay this information to anyone who cares to listen when the subject comes up.

Disgusting. I don’t see what the hype is about. The garlic chicken was bland and the garlic mayo did not go well with the dish at all. The lamb was raw and tasted like it was steamed. If you like bland and under seasoned food, this is the perfect place. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone or come back again. Disappointed doesn’t come close to describing this experience.

My wife and I had lunch here and it was amazing number one the waiter Nick was so professional it was our first time there he was very helpful we had a couple of glasses of an outstanding white Greek Wine followed by a couple of excellent Gyro’s I also ordered a beef kabob and rice we liked everything that we ordered so much that we ordered one more kabob Nick suggested one of the chicken kabobs he brought it out with more of that outstanding rice it was amazing the chicken was so tender and the flavor was out of this world. This will be our weekly out for lunch/dinner spot. Thank you Rocky it was nice to see you the owner saying hello to the guests and making us feel special at your restaurant.

I’ve had dinner here twice. Each time the only knock is the slow service when waiting to be seated. Other than that the food is delicious. I’ve had the lamb kabobs and the Moussaka. Both dishes were incredibly tasting and came packed with flavor. The hummus is a great appetizer. It’s my preferred place to eat great food when I go out.

I wanted to see what the fuss was all about so I decided to try this place out. I had the garlic chicken dinner entrée while my husband ordered the beef kabobs. It came with white rice, greek salad and pita bread. The salad was completely drenched in dressing. It was so soggy and not edible. Total disappointment. However, my husbands beef kabobs were superb. It was very flavorful and tender. My garlic chicken was so dry I almost choked on it. The garlic sauce was amazing though. I would definitely come back to order the garlic sauce only.

The Kabob House is one of our favorite places to eat. We ordered the Gyro’s, Greek salad, & humus with some wine. The owner Rocky is always so pleasant & inviting. We had the baklava to top it off and that’s always a treat. They have lamb kabobs to that are delicious. We’ve become such good friends and if you want a delicious place to try out, this is your place!

Mostly enjoyable dining experience. Great food, especially the chicken kababs. Those were a big hit with our group. Ambience was really nice especially outside sitting underneath the covered patio surrounded by Edison lights and grapevines. Not so nice was the service. The waiter was the only one serving that night and he struggled serving patrons that were inside the restaurant and outside the restaurant. He visited the outside patio about once every 15 minutes or so. It wasn’t too big a problem for us since we had great company. Had it been a date night it would’ve been a little bit more frustrating. Overall it’s worth a visit for the yummy food.

Great food. Good people. Comfortable environment. I would go with the marinated chicken. Reasonably priced and tastes great.

We have been coming here for 10+ years and we always get the beef kabobs. It is a little bit of a drive from Roseville so we don’t come as often as we would like. First off, after reading peoples reviews, it is NOTA1 steak sauce they put on there. It may look like it, but it certainly does not taste like it. It is their own sauce they have created and you can buy it in the bottle at the restaurant. I personally love this sauce and I buy a bottle for home. The owner Rocky is the nicest man you will ever meet. The regulars always know him and he knows his regulars as well. After trying some other greek places, I will agree maybe not the best Mediterranean in the Sacramento area or quite as «authentic» but it is still very good to me. The portions are good and the value is good. Best of all, it is a family run business trying to do their best to make a living so I always like supporting that.

Some of the best Greek food around. Been to other Greek places all over town, keep coming back to this one. Got just a gyro today, but usually get spanicopita, lots of tzatziki(they have THE best tzatziki sauce here) and usually a lemonade. Not big, but decently intimate setting. Albeit with slightly cheesy, but nice décor. Rocky(sp?) the manager is always here, always polite, kind, accomodating. I would give them a solid four stars… But their patio is amazing! Rocky has been training the grapes for 8+ years. Roughly 20×20, it covers the side patio and the grapes hang down where you sit. It is 109 today in Folsom(yikes!), but the shade and ambience from the grapes makes it so very nice. Like his restaurant, he obviously puts a lot of love into what he does, and it shows in the restaurant, and in the food. A hidden gem, worth a look, even if the grapes suffer in this oppressive heat.

Didn’t know this existed. untill had a lunch here and have to say not bad for the price and quantity. I tried the lemon chicken on rice, taste is good but i think the chicken could have been more tender, it was somewhat raw at some places .but i can live with it. The Cofee is really good, you should give a try and size of 2 is good for 4 ppl. Give it place a chance and you wont be totally disappointed.

I love this place. I frequent here about once per month with the coworkers, and it is by far my favorite in our lunch rotation. There’s nothing fancy to be found, but there is a certain comfort in knowing your meal will be exactly what you expected. The indoor blue rock wall is nicely complimented by the grapevine canopy in the outdoor patio. It is an absolutely fantastic setting for letting go of some office stress, albeit only temporarily. Lunch entrees are the best. Comes with feta cheese salad, rice with mystery brown sauce(we always ask for extra), nommy pita bread, and a meat of your choice. A very satisfying meal for less than $ 10. You can never go wrong with lamb. Sometimes we’ll splurge and get a tasty round of domos to share. Their baklava & their greek coffee(triple expresso!) look mighty fine too. Yes it seems I have a soft spot for the kabob house :)

Not impressed at all. Food dry and tasteless. Greek food does not come to mine eating here. It’s very overcooked and drowned in A1 sauce!!! This was my first and last visit. Shame on me for not checking Unilocal first. Y’all be telling it all and that’s a good thing!

I always get takeout from The Kabob House when I am in town. The beef kabobs and the chicken filets on rice are wonderfully tasty. The sauce on the rice is rather addicting; I just had to buy a bottle of their original sauce! The Greek salads and pita bread are also very delightful.

Where do I start? My parents were born and raised in Greece. I grew up eating moussaka, pasticho, fasolada, dolmades, avgolemono soup, spanakopita, tiropita, Greek chicken and potatoes… the whole nine yards. Typical traditional foods that all Greeks eat, no matter what part of Greece they’re from. As for this place, my wife ate dinner here last night with a friend, so I asked her to bring me home something. She ordered the Gyro Dinner Plate for me, which consisted of rice with a few gyro strips on top of it. It came with a side of pitiful salad, pita bread, and some fake tzatziki in a small cup.(Real Tzatziki is made from sour cream, not yogurt). Real Greek salad consists of cut tomatoes, cumcumbers, green peppers, onions, feta cheese, olive oil, kalamata olives, oregano and some good bread to dip in the olive oil when nearly done. It does not have LETTUCELEAVES in it. Period! From a Greek, let me tell you straight up that this is not Greek food. My meal was disappointing to say the least. First of all, the owner apparently has some special house sauce that he smothers all his food with. It tastes exactly like A-1 Steak Sauce and it was all over my rice and gyro meat. To set the record straight, A-1 and Greek do not go together in the same sentence. Second, my meal was extremely bland. No taste whatsoever except for that lingering A-1 sauce that remained in my mouth for the entire night and into the morning. Third, the owner is not even Greek, he is a pseudo-Greek who is using the Greek name to market and sell his food. To add injury to insult, the owner’s name is «Rocky.» How many Greeks do you know named«Rocky?» If this Rocky Balboa character is going to run a so called Greek restaurant, he should at least serve authentic Greek food and stop fooling American customers. If not, then perhaps he should remove«Greek» from his business advertising and just stick with«Mediterranean Food.» Furthermore, stop playing Greek music and take down the Santorini pictures. Hang up pictures of Palestine and play some Arabic music instead. Oh, and for all you Four & Five Star Unilocalers who think this is «Excellent Greek Food,» sorry to inform you, but you’ve been duped with some knockoff imitation crap… Malakes(look it up)… Yo Adrian!!!

Pretty tasty I have eaten here for lunch a few times and never been disappointed. The service is always friendly and the orders come out pretty quick They have a nice outside patio which is very nice when the weather is right. The décor in the restaurant is nice also. They have a good selection of menu items. I think the meats could be a bit moister but that may just be a personal preference. The sauces are outstanding and the baklava is delicious. I’m sure I will be back again.
