Sunset On the Water

Came here Sunday at noon. Hostess said it would be a 20 minute wait to get seated. We went to the bar and I ordered a Bloody Mary. It was sub-​par. I got a pickle as a garnish. Meanwhile I notice everyone after me getting bloody Mary’s loaded with garnishes. I’m not sure why I wasn’t offered additional garnishes or a chaser. An hour later and I’m still sitting in the bar area. I went to talk to the hostess and got told there were still 5 people ahead of us. No thank you. I gave my number back, of course no apology. Bad drinks, unfriendly staff…

If you go there for an old fashioned be sure to specify that you want it from scratch. If you don’t specify, they will just use the mix.

I’ve been here a number of times. Some inconsistencies when they first opened have been smoothed out. The food is good with some items really outstanding.
The perch dinner is very good and the prime rib is fabulous. Prime rib alone is worth a visit.
It is not fine dining, but is a cut above «bar food».

I live very close to this restaurant and have tried almost everything… have never been let down! The owners are very passionate about providing not only appealing, quality dishes; but providing an enjoyable dining experience as well. Food is fresh and servings are generous. Sunday brunch (9am to 1 pm) is classy and wonderfully attended. They keep the entrees covered to maintain the integrity of the food– an attendant assists with the covers as you select your items– very organized and efficient! Great value at about 10 – 12 $/​person! Must try the Citrus Chicken, best baked chicken I’ve ever had. Great food, great people, great view, great value… 5 stars

I’m helping this place out with their rating because it turned out to be a far better place than I expected. Excellent service and the food was super tasty. I got the ribs and chicken combo, which was way too much food and every bite was delicious.
Probably not you’re ticket if you want a fine dining establishment, but as an American bar and grill it is quite a pleasure.

Friendliest service around! Great family owned restaurant. Very accommodating to my low carb requests. Hold the rice add a vegetable. Usually a big wonderful chunk of delicious broccoli.

The sunset is really pretty, and would be better if they had any outdoor seating but there is none. We waited for about 30 minutes and it wasn’t what I would call busy for a Friday night (we went tonight). Once we for seated our server was very friendly. My husband was rather disappointed for his Korbel Old Fashioned, it was obvious it was a mix and no garnishments. Poor for a WI OF. We had the deep fried perhaps and baked haddock. Both were really, really good and I would definitely get them again. I might try the soup as the dinner salad was lacking, basic lettuce, tomato, cucs and croutons. I had the sweet potato fries which if they were cooked a bit more would have been better. My husband really liked the hash browns with cheese.
Besides the fish, the best part of the mean was these little cheddar herb biscuits you get. They were awesome. Overall for the price it’s not bad at all and I’d eat there again. Just stick to beer.

Good specials, nice space, and large portions.
The food itself was only so-​so. I had the shrimp linguine. The shrimp were cooked well and were generous. I’m not sure if it was a powder mix or if the sauce broke, but the sauce felt grainy. We ordered cocktails too and they were generous but inconsistent.
