The food taste great yet the food such as sandwiches and combos don’t come with the«whole package» and the breakfast sides are over priced the waiters take a while to take your order they took my order 15 minutes after I took my seat and they were in unaware that my order has not been placed

I now give two stars, came here on a sat 2÷26÷16 we ordered $ 30.00 worth of food and I asked for a bowl of chips to go with the salsa bar and she said it would be $ 2.99 for the chips, you have got to be kidding

I will never go there again. the owners daughter/waitress. was rude. Asked for the owner and she said that was her mom. Wow is all I can say… «talk about customer service»!, I ordered a chicken salad and once I got home after being really hungry the lettuce leaves were brown! ! What kind of restaurant serves brown lettuce ??? I will never go there again! I am super unhappy and will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Maribel L.

Appreciate this place. It’s a 40 mile drive for us but every time we pass by this area, we make it a trip to visit the place. The girls there are just fabulous. There aren’t many substitutions allowed but sometimes they make a mini exception. I just like the food and the girls there.

my family and I stopped on tonight. The $ 3.99 hamburger, pastrami melt, banana pancakes were super. The fries were«the best ever!(according to my kids). I got the Carne asada supreme burrito with beans and rice. The burrito was good, the rice and beans not so much but typical for Mexican restaurants. My husband ordered the Lucys triple, he didn’t care for it. If we’re in the area we would probably stop by again but I wouldn’t drive out of the way to eat here.

Yummy yummy yummy! Everything was über good. Fresh chips and salsa when we got there. My husband had the Lucy’s patty melt and he loved it. Said there was a lot of avocado. I had the burrito and it was really good. I would highly recommend it!

Based on Unilocal reviews, I decided to check this place out. WOW, I don’t know what the hype is about. First off, my coffee mug had lipstick. Ewww. I ordered chilaquiles and was not impressed. They lacked flavor & cheese. My niece ordered shrimp; that entire plate seemed like it was previously frozen food. There was a guy playing guitar and singing, asking for $. That’s cool but it got annoying after awhile. Maybe I just wasn’t feeling the atmosphere because of the lipstick? The waitress was nice and could tell we were not impressed with the food.

I really love the burger n fries here. I came to visit on ¼/16 and ordered 2 caldo de res total for two was about $ 17. It includes 3 tablespoons of rice LOL a tiny slice of lime, and a teaspoon of onion and cilantro. The rice was bland. The broth of the caldo was red and taste more like the broth for albondigas, i was not expecting that. Caldo de res usually has a clear broth. Also the veggies in here were super mushy. I wouldn’t order the caldo again.

Came on a late Sunday morning, the place was packed, had to wait a little bit but once we sat down and ordered the food was there faster than our wait time. All the food we ordered was delicious. We had blueberry pancakes, Belgium waffles with strawberries & crushed pecans and a Mediterranean skillet. The service here is great, super friendly and fast! We will definitely be back to try out their lunch/dinner menu.

One shot one kill. came here for breakfast after finding it on Unilocal and it was on point. The joint was busy and the waitress where moving at the speed of fresh cooked huevos. LOL I recommend it, you might have to wait about 15 mins for the food but its because when its fresh it takes time to cook. you want it faster take your basic butt to Jack n box and eat some super average food. Other wise enjoy and beautiful meal at Lucys.

I have been looking forward to trying this place since my husband and I always pass by. It definitely has a unique interior décor but it’s very fun to look at everything while you are waiting on your food. We went for breakfast and I ordered the chilaquiles which came with rice, beans and 2 eggs. First impression was that it all looked a bit messy on my plate and it seemed like there was barely any eggs on the plate to consider it a breakfast plate in my opinion. The taste however was very good. I enjoyed everything on my plate and completely finished it. The chilaquiles were not very spicy and the rice and beans complemented it well. Overall I did enjoy my meal and will be back to try some of their lunch items.

Food is good and service even better. Today we had menudo. it was a big size and just enough. you can have it with main or not. The servers are super friendly. Every time we come it’s busy and they still manage to be super attentive. We’ve only come for breakfast so that I can vouch for as good. I’ve had chilaquiles, French toast and menudo. all good.

I was excited to try this place today. Walked in and the AC was either off or not working. I was ready to go then. How can you eat in a restuarant that cannot afford to run or fix the broken AC? We waited 15 minutes and not one waitress greeted us. We ordered 4 waters from the busser and still had to wait. Several tables around us were all waiting for food and our server never showed to our table. The busser finally drop off the water. Still no waitress. At this point, we were up ready to walk. NOTE: I was hungry, 4 people in my party, and I have DEEP pockets!!! I refuse to spend my hard earned money on businesses that fail to treat customers with respect by providing the atmosphere and service that we all expect and deserve. Lucy’s you get a 1 star rating. Fix these issues and I may return to give you a second chance in a few months. We will see… WRETRO out!

Came here today for the first time the food was really good I had two tacos beans and rice with the portion was a little small for me could have give me a little more beans and rice but it tasted really good so I can’t complain much. Kids meal with a good portion of food it was actually more food than what I got lol. My wife got up breakfast south of the border things look really good big portion. The Place itself seem really busy so that’s a good sign. Place I will personally recommend and plan to come back to

Tried the special, $ 3.99 .burger, fries, 16oz soda… I added cheese, so it was $ 5. Great price for burger was simple but tasty. .fries were actually over cooked, unless that’s how they serve them. They also have breakfast and Mexican on their menu. They also serve ½ burgers. I would like to give them another try.

Happened to be in the area at lunchtime, we were driving by when Wifey mentioned that years ago this place had the best tacos, and how tiny the dining room used to be. «Lets see if they’ve gotten better», I said as I told her to swing into the parking lot. Her hungry-ass happily obliged. Walk in, and she tells me that what is now the entrance with a few tables, used to be the only dining area they had. Walked into a Hokey Western Miners themed dining area. Cool. Something different. I like that. We even got a kick out of the random pictures of different pies throughout the restaurant, looking for all of them like a scavenger hunt. We were quickly greeted with smiling faces and menus. Placed our normal drink orders of Iced Tea(which was standard) and Pink Lemonade(which was tap). My Wife had a Guacamole craving, and they make it fresh here. A standard-sized small bowl of it for $ 5. Not a lot, but enough. It is quite good, I recommend if your having that craving. They put a lot of lime in it, but serve it with salsa so you can heat it up a bit. The mild salsa has little flavor, but is still good. The hot salsa is a little hot, but I didn’t much care for the flavor. The chips were thin, hot and delicious. My Wife ordered the Turkey Avocado Melt. She enjoyed it very much, fresh turkey, and not one brown spot on ANY of the avocado. You know how when you get something from a restaurant w/avocado, and there is usually a slight hint of brown on the edges of it? You shrug and eat it anyways because your Californian and used to it? THIS place serves avocado with damn near everything, and NOTONCE did we see even the slightest bit of brown on any of them. It was toasted perfectly. Impressive. I got a Tuna Melt. Haven’t had one in a while, so I tried it. Glad I did. They make them a bit different here, With shredded lettuce, and MAD avocado! Didn’t expect that. A bit smaller than average, but a lot better than average too! The tuna was good, not to mushy, actual flavor. But the texture made the sandwich. Toasted perfectly with the lettuce for crunch. The melted cheese made the gooey, and the tuna was the base. Great sandwich. The French Fries were standard, probably Smart & Final fare. Not bad, not special. We ordered a Strawberry Milkshake to go, and It was so good, Wifey and I were play fighting over it. Most shakes have that«strawberry flavoring» flavor. This shake actually had strawberry flavor, like they pureed actual strawberries to add to the mix. BOMB. Once again the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Our drinks didn’t reach bottom once. Definitely worthy of more than a 15% tip. We will be coming back soon. Wonder if the Vanilla Shakes are as good?

We have passed by this place for 2 years always looked at reviews seemed like a good day to explore our taste buds… The people were friendly great customer service for our visit… We ordered 3 Breakfast Dishes Chillaquilas, French Toast, & Steak & Eggs… I usually don’t give reviews on atmosphere being tacky or old… they have okay theme & Décor… The issue was the food it was all hard the country fried steak was like nasty meat covered & fried to hide the hideousness of the first bite… The Chillaquilas was the worst representation of a Mexican dish hard stale chips… French Toast not even worth mentioning… I am soarly disappointed that we spent over $ 30 on a meal that is not even worth feeding to the homeless… I know of hole in the walls with rude customer service that I would rather patronize at least the food is a billion times better… I feel sad for leaving this place such a horrible review but the only reason they got a 2 star is because they were at least nice… Never wasting money here again I’m very angry… My advice Call Hells Kitchen at Food network get ahold of Gordon Ramsey you desperately need help

Fontana. Bet you’ve never been there. Fontana is the brunt of many a cruel joke. Bet you never ate here either. Easy to be right on that point, since you’ve never been to Fontana anyway. Honestly, we deliberately drove here. Shock. I know. We were looking for breakfast and a tiny museum. Found both. So Lucy’s is a converted fast food kitchen with a decent sized dining room that sports a salsa bar that is «tiled» with copper pennies. Seriously. Cute inside, distinctly one of a kind. And so is Lucy. She will slip in to your sights without realizing that this cute, friendly waitress just happens to be…“the owner”. She is delightful and earnest. First impressions: Lucy let me taste the chile verde. Always a good indicator of what is to come. Soft pork, good flavor. I would definitely get it. But this time I succumbed to the… shrimp cocktail. So how can you be disappointed when you have a dozen shrimp in your cocktail? Huge, to say the least. The cocktail was clean and fresh and delicious, very Mexican, with catsup, cilantro, onion, cucumber and big chunks of avocado. Yum. Mr. B chose the chorizo and eggs. While nothing different, it was certainly tasty. The chorizo was not greasy. Beans and rice were bland. My only regret was the chile relleno, ordered as a side. I was not fond of the cheese(and not much of it, besides), the batter, or the sauce. It was also not made with a pasilla chile, my personal preference. I would not order this again, however, Mr. B found it more redeeming than I. Lastly, the flan. While house made, it was heavy, over baked, and overly sweet for my personal taste. It was drizzled with a caramel sauce. In spite of striking out on a couple of things, this little café is actually quite appealing. I would definitely return if in the area. I look forward to upping my rating.

Wow — great little gem. They had excellent breakfast and the Queso Faundito was outstanding. The great thing is they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner ALL day long. The staff is very friendly and attentive throughout the experience. Looks like we’ll need to become regulars! Time to roll myself out of here I’m STUFFED
