Omokase Sushi

This place has great sushi and is our personal favorite. The food is consistent and the service is good; nice enviroment but it can get noisy when it gets busy.

Service was super slow and servers were so oblivious that people who arrived after me got served before me! Food was okay, not worth the problem.

Normally, I truly enjoy the food here. But, today, I was disappointed. It was also my1st take out. The soup was pretty much liquid, couple of pieces of items in the soup. It was hot. The vegetable tempura was ALL carrots. I only got two slightly warm, heavy, greasy shrimp tempura pieces. Usually get three Hot, flakey pieces. The chicken teryaki was great and tasty. Salad was so so — too much dressing, resulting in a soggy salad. The tempura sauce was pretty bad and cold. Had a vinegar-​like, sour taste. My wife had the fish skin salad. It was inconsistent with the taste. The dressing caused the green leaves to be soggy. Anyway, a weak eating experience. Probably won’t do take out again.

My wife and I came here on a Sunday in hopes of a pleasant Sunday dinner. First off, the staff was so rude. They didn’t acknowledge us for about 5 – 7 mins when we walked in so we took it upon ourselves to sit down at the sushi bar area. Then after we ordered we were sitting in front of the chef and as he was making a roll he cut himself. I say this because he waived the waitress down to show her right in front of us the bloody finger… then continued making his roll! Our jaws dropped. We began thinking we should say something for the poor people that have to get that roll. Then he hands us the roll! He cut himself, bled through his glove and continued making the roll and handed it to us! So I told him I saw what happened and the chef said «it’s ok». I said no, that’s not okay and handed it back to him and we walked out. I know he kept powering through it because they were poorly staffed and that usually means poorly managed. One word for our experience. DISGUSTED. I wish I could give a negative star rating. He violated so many health laws! They need to be investigated!

Sushi was good. Ramen (Nabe) seafood very generic and only had 1 shrimp and very tiny scallops. Not worth the price. It is a clean restaurant. However, one of the employees was cleaning the inside windows with windex will people were eating. The spray smell kind of ruins the smell and taste of the food. I think there are other Japanese restaurants worth trying before coming here.

Great place awesome, sushi is always made perfectly they have such a friendly staff and this is one of my favorites places for sure!

Dane was an excellent server! Was very happy with the quality of food and the service was even better! I will definitely be coming back :)

I used to love it here but recently it has not been great at all, the owners are very rude. There is one server there that comes and goes and I like him a lot I don’t remember his name but he has a tattoo on his hand and he’s super sweet and funny.

Don’t come here ever, unless you want shitty service, and nasty sushi. Worst sushi place I’ve ever been to, oh and it’s expensive, so you can have the worst experience and get over priced nasty sushi also.

Local, good service and good food!

This is the first review I have ever written on Unilocal.The service I just experienced from this place was the worse I have ever seen in my life!
Went in at 7:45pm. The place was semi busy but not overwhelming. Our server sat us and said he would be taking care of us for the night and he would be training another server to help. Well that is where the service stopped… We waited almost 10 minutes for water. In fact another server in the other section of the place noticed we were waiting and eventually brought 2 waters out. Our original server never came back the rest of night.
I ordered a combination plate that came with miso soup. The soup was never brought out. It was brought out after the main meal. In fact the same server that brought us the waters asked, «do you still want the soup?» Of course I want the soup! I ordered it damn it. I looked with my girlfriend as half the glasses in the place needed to be refilled. I didn’t know you had to ask for a refill but I guess that is the case here. The owner was sitting in the corner creeper status doing nothing.
When we asked for the check my girlfriend was not done eating and the bus boy took her plate while she was eating. Ok are you fucking kidding me! No I can’t make this stuff up.
Worse service ever! I will never come back.

I’m a person who is usually nervous about trying new things. Lol which you will come to find through my reviews. :)
Anyway, I was in Fontana with my great friends. They suggested Sushi and I was trying to avoid going lol. I have tried Sushi once before and was not too fond of it.
So my friends sister mentioned that they had a variety of sushi including fried sushi. So I said let’s do it!
We got there and instantly were seated the waitress was very attentive and sweet. Our food didn’t take too long to get to our table considering there was some people in front of us. Once it got there I was so excited to taste the food.
My friends sister and I shared a Golden Cali roll, which was a fried California roll. IT WAS SUPERB!
Then for my dinner I got the Alaska Roll, which had crab meat, avocado, cucumber, & on top was Tempura Salmon. Just talking about it makes me want to go back. :o
It was a cool environment, & the restrooms were super clean!!! :)

Okay so I love the Omokase sushi in Rancho I recently moved over here to Fontana close to this Omokase and was really excited that I was close to them. But unfortunately it’s not the same as the Rancho location. I don’t know maybe they have different owners. But the one in Rancho gives a really decent size in sushi orders and is very generous. Here they are kinda skimpy and small with sushi and rolls. Plus the quality isn’t as great as Rancho either.
On the other hand the service is much better at the Fontana location where the Rancho I don’t care for as much.
So I suggest go to the Rancho one of you can !

I love the food here! When my friend is in town and we’re craving sushi, this is the first place I suggest. The service is great, the food quality is delicious, and the sake tastes great with nearly any dish! I usually get the Philadelphia roll and the tuna roll. I’ve never been disappointed with the sushi!!! The dishes are nicely presented and they’re really generous with their servings ^_^
They have a happy hour menu during the day. The deals are so good, it’s easy to order a lot without breaking the bank.
I was a little sad with the yakisoba only because they were a little too dry but sprinkle a dash of soy sauce on it and it spruces back up!
They also have a digital jukebox in the corner that plays music spanning from country to rock to today’s current hits.
I definitely recommend people to check it out!

Ive been here many times and have recieved excellent service and have never experienced any bad service or food .
My wife and I love sushi and have probably tried the whole menu .
When the owner is in .you his main concern .
I think you got to try it .and decide for yourself .

I don’t know what people on here are complaining about. The service was great. Our cups were full the whole time and the waitress was sweet the whole time. I’ll admit to being a patron who doesn’t care who’s around when I am having a good laugh with friends and it’s nice eat at a restaurant that allows me to eat as if I were eating at home with friends. Thank you!
Besides the service being great, the food is delicious and fresh. We drove all the way from Yucaipa to eat here and it was worth the drive. Will return again!!!
