Great local dive bar with a lot of history. Founded in the 1940’s as a nightclub with nightly live dance music. Likely some of the furnishings are still original since it hasn’t changed much since I first visited with my father in the 1960’s. Atmosphere is what you would expect a dive bar to be, not dirty but not exactly spotless. Drinks are generous and prices are downright cheap for the area. It’s a friendly local tavern with the same folks coming daily. Food, very limited selection is hit or miss, adequate if you have a drunk on. Well worth a visit even for a quick drink.

I play pool here in a league. It’s a pretty cool laid back dive bar(aren’t most of them) but people are generally cool, safe place, good prices, small kitchen open most times which is awesome for bar food with generous portions. Digital jukebox not on during games my gripe since i don’t care about the crowd noise of stadium, one pool table, bands or dj from time to time, Thursday a dj with trivia games can get packed and bathrooms need updating other than that a cool place to hangout.

As far as dives go this place has it all. Dim lighting, rock on the juke box, pool table, and a cast of characters. A digital and old fashioned dart board finish it out. Kitchen is open with bar food and we enjoyed our potato pancakes. We like the friendliness of the others here– everyone is out for a laugh and good time. On the hour the tradition is to spin a wheel, whatever # comes up, the person sitting in that chair gets a free drink. Of course my husband won, beginners luck!
