It can get better. We were here for a birthday party and got confused because this place is very big and they host various functions at a time. There are many halls for different functions and compared to it parking spaces can sometimes be an issue. Also the place itself can get better if it is maintained well.

Sighhhh, I’m always disappointed by this place. Like many other reviewers, I absolutely deplore this place. Its always a go-to for wedding events and sweet sixteens. But I find the entire establishment to be very unattractive. The facilities manager really needs to step it up and bring this space back to life. It’s dirty, dusty, and just unkept. The food is sub-par. The bathrooms are gross. The actual event furniture is worn looking too. It just has an overall forgotten-about look. It’s actually sad because this space has SUCH potential. It used to be a gorgeous venue. Now it’s just tacky.

Authentic Indian and Gujarati food. If you are a good lover and want proper food without the Edison crowd go to the restaurant downstairs. Everything was made to order and the clay pot baked biryani and meat appetizers were great. The restaurant is a hidden gem

We had our wedding and reception on the 21st and 22nd of December. The hall overall was great but requires a bit of work to ensure the event goes well. We were nervous with all the negative reviews but now found choosing them for venue was a great decision. 1. Work with Ashok and he will take good care and work with you to make the most of their service. 2. The food was amazing. The hall hires many chefs, we chose to go with the Punjabi chef and the food was some of the best food I have had at a wedding. My wife has severe nut allergies and they kept the kitchen and all the food nut free, which is greatly appreciated. The food tasted fresh they gave a lot of options and extra items(like a hot off the fryer jelabi and chai. friends said it was the best they have had. Dosas and chicken dishes were good. Food is all Halal and receipt from vendors were available for proof. 3. We used the Maharaja Hall for the Wedding it snugly fit 300 people with a big dance floor open and a great size stage. we used the grand ballroom for the reception and that hall could easily fit 700 people + with food in the back. My biggest criticism with the hall space was that the building was on the older side and in need of some renovation such as newer carpets and chairs.(you will need chair covers). The brides room and balcony was a mess and never cleaned. Bathrooms were clean but in some disrepair. 4. Service. Service was amazing. The hall had contracted outside professional waiters and servers who were incredibly polite. They helped all the older people. Ashok catered directly to us as the bride and groom and addressed any game time adjustments. Overall I would highly recommend this hall especially during off peak times when the other halls aren’t booked and only if you are working with Ashok.

What a dump! The lobby and elevators smell like a wet diaper filled with urinal cakes. Broken light fixtures in the halls. The smallest«bar» of soap I’ve ever seen in the shower. Hope you like Bollywood, because that’s all that’s on tv! We counted at least 3 cats living in the parking lot. This place should be condemned.

Words cannot describe how much I hate this place. I have been attending weddings here for 10 years now so I have been coming here whenever it is wedding season. I still do not understand why people book this venue because this place is beyond awful. First and foremost, there are 5 halls. There is one huge hall on the main floor and four small ones downstairs(there is a small side entrance). All of the halls have a dance floor, stage, and an extra room which is inside the hall which is suitable for 5 – 6 people to sit in. There are bathrooms both downstairs and upstairs. These bathrooms feel like public restrooms at a train station. They are in a bad state. The table cloths and seats are filthy. Clearly they have been used way too much and should be retired at this point. The floor has to be cleaned thoroughly or replaced because it is starting to look bad. This place needs a thorough renovation. If you choose this place as a venue then be prepared to eat and serve your guests spoiled and strange smelling food because you are not allowed to get a separate caterer. The only decent thing is the papari chaat appetizer. The workers are also extremely rude. They clearly don’t want to be working and they show it. All in all, this is an awful venue for parties, weddings, or any other event. You would honestly be better renting a hotel ballroom than this horrendous place.

I’ve been going to this place since past 14 years for birthday parties, baby shower, weddings etc. and have found it as refreshing as ever. I’m a person of great details and every bit of detail matters to me — the placement and arrangements in the hall, the staff, the service and just about the overall surroundings around you once you’re there. The service is impeccable and the staff is very polite and loving. Speaking about the staff — I’ve seen almost the same people and manager over the years. I think this speaks volumes about the place and it’s management as it seems to take good care of it’s people which ultimately resutls in better service to the customers. On the sweet-side the moongdal halwa/dessert that I recently had at a get-together event was phenomenal and on top of it they went the extra mile and served ice cream. Voila!

We just had a party for 60 people at Albert Palace and our we are quite happy with the menu, service and price offered. Entire crew took good care of us and special mention for the manager Ashok kumar, who was very helpful and generous.

The most pathetic service I have ever experienced! The manager tried to force what we should eat as if trying to get rid of food prepared in advance. When we asked for fried papad he said the oil is cold so take roasted papad. When asked for chillies he said the owner does bit allow them to keep chillies(really? In an Indian restaurant?). The food was served cold. When we said we’d like to give some feedback, at first he was confused then said that’s how the food comes out of kitchen and he can’t help it. Extremely disappointed with the food and service.

Apparently, this is the spot if you are an Indian having a wedding or event and live in the tri-state. The bride said a guy who works in her building in Manhattan said he’s been here like five times. I attended a lively wedding here. We had a great time and the food was very, very tasty. I think if you are a carefree, this place won’t bother you at all. If you are a perfectionist, keep looking. Another tip: See if you can hold your event at night(you’ll see fewer flaws) and in the patio area with the fountain, which is lovely. This venue is in real need of a renovation. It’s massive, so I can only imagine the upkeep. There was equipment outside, so I think they are trying to do some type of renovation. There were bits of trash in the grass outside. A friend picked a roach out of my hair(I promise he wasn’t my date and wasn’t with us during the ride to Jersey. I’m assuming he hitched a ride when we were outside). someone left a used pantyliner on top of a tank in the toilet(not the staff’s fault, but they weren’t patrolling the restrooms to keep them clean because the pantyliner was there for hours). The staff didn’t seem that well-informed. One couldn’t answer questions about certain dishes. Look I could go on, but I really don’t want to bash this place because it was about celebrating the union of two wonderful people. I had a great time and the food seemed super-authentic and was delicious. I’m only writing this review to keep people informed.

Well, unfortunately I had to attend a function at Royal Albert’s Palace. What a piece of garbage establishment. The owners rake the money and do not even clean or do any upgrades. PLEASEDONOTWASTEYOURMONEYWITHANYFUNCTIONTHERE…

This place as big and grand as it is can use a major facelift renovation especially with the amount of money they make hosting so many weddings and parties, they need to really get rid of that green pitch tent in the front that is masking the giant fountain to open up the area and make it more lush by doing some landscaping. Also the inside the ballroom is spacious and nice but definitely needs a huge re do the lobby is so bland and the ceilings need some paint job. Add some more fountains or something near the grand entrance atleast pretty the place up, even the smaller halls the lobby and the halls itself need huge renovations, I’m surprised with the revenue that they have been making they can’t atleast consider changing the place up. The wait staff also seems to be absent minded, they need better training. The manager or owners seem to just eat up the money they make rather then invest the money to making this place alot more beautiful, it’s got so much potential if they only hired a good decorator.

Let’s start with the good. The food here is great. Everybody loved and raved about the indian food. The Chef deserves al the credit and should get the extra tips he was paid. The rest is a mess however, so see below. You don’t even get what you pay for here overall. Most people do an event here knowing it wont be 4 or 5 stars but at least it will be 3 stars. That is what management promises and then they do not deliver. Not only do they not deliver, but they whine and beg for extra tips which they do not work for or deserve. People aren’t particularly friendly and helpful, they can’t be found when needed, and their level of enthusiasm and quality of work is sub par. If you want to keep things cheap this may be an option, but is not a good one. There must be better options to keep things affordable. The chef at this place needs to be hired away by some place where he is deserved.

Yes… this place stinks. The food is gross and is probably re-cycled from lot of leftovers. I had health issues for a week after consuming food at this place. The stench out of bathrooms is unbearable. Avoid this place by all means. You have plenty of choices in Central NJ.

What you see may not be what you get. I went to my first Indian wedding here in September. I was excited about this place because I heard good things about it and how classy it was. Upon arriving to the«Palace», I was surprised at what awaited me. The«castle» is white, but looks like it could use a good cleaning. There wasn’t valet service and the concrete by the main entrance was covered with gum! Tons of it! The grounds for the outdoor ceremonies looked nice, nothing spectacular. Inside was really dingy and looked like it could use a renovation. The ballroom where the reception was beautiful and spacious. There was a beautiful throne/stage area for the bride and groom and a massive dance floor, plenty of seating for a few hundred people. The tables had white table cloths, but the cushions and linens were mostly dingy! The glassware was mismatched too. The service wasn’t great either. We kept running out of water and never received our own pitcher for the table. The makeshift«bar» area was something that you’d see at an outdoor BBQ. They were stingy with drinks. The food was served buffet style, with lots of options for people. Most of the food was flavorful. I wish there was an explanation for each dish, since I’m not entirely familiar with Indian cuisine, but I stuck with what I knew. Overall, 2.5 stars. I think a good renovation and proper customer service training would give this venue the right to be called a «Palace.»
