Krause Renovations

Do not recommend Krause Companies.
Their customer service is awful! They were referred to me by my realtor. My initial conversation with them was excellent and they booked me an appointment with Don (their on-​field sales person) for a free in-​home consulate on. It was very hard to get an earliest date since Don makes field visits only on Wednesdays and Thursday’s (that’s what the customer exec woman told me over the phone) and he was already booked for 2 weeks when I called up. She also confirmed that Don will provide the estimates right away which made me extremely happy.
Don was punctual and he took a look at my kitchen as week as took all the measurements very quickly (within 15 minutes). He also heard my requirements very patiently and walked me through all options very nicely. He said that he will send across the estimates after going back to his office in the evening. So far so good…
After that I kept calling up every alternate day for the estimates. Each time I called up, the lady on the phone was very rude. She also kept telling that the estimates are with Don, he is not in the office and he will email them soon. It’s been a month now since Don visited my place and I have made so many calls to them but they have never send me any estimates nor did they call me back with any updates.
They are very unresponsive and don’t seem to be interested in getting any business. I wasted my time talking and following up with them and now I have look for another contractor. Starting from zero.

Horrible. Simple routine maintenance on a perfectly working residential oil buring furnace in Parkton, MD on 12÷03÷15. The Krause technician accidently crimped and damaged the flexible copper tubing. When I called them to fix it, Mr Krause told me that I either had bad oil or a bad burner that needed to be replaced. It was cold, so I had to pay another company for an emergency service charge to diagnose the issue and repair it. Krause refuses to either refund my payment, or help with the cost to pay the other company to fix what Krause broke. I strongly recommend that you choose a different service provider.

So we had a wonderful experience with Krause when they did our patio in the spring of 2014 so we decided to go through them again to price out a fence for our townhouse as well as adding stairs to our deck and the possibility of finishing our bathroom as well as a den in our basement. My husband set up an appointment with a sales rep only for them to call the day before the appointment to tell us that the owner of the company decided that it wasn’t worth his time or money to send someone to quote us for the fence because of how far away we are. Glad this is how they treat previous customers who spent thousands of dollars already on a paver patio and want to give them even more money. If Frederick, MD is too far for your company to come to don’t send canvassers out here.

hired to do a small job in Perry hall. It was to take 3 days. six months later the job is not finished. The work that is complete is sub par at best. The owner refuses to meet me onsite. They are now trying to reduce service and increase the price above the original bid. I would not use this company.

I had Matt come to my house and give me an estimate on a deck and patio.
He was on time, instantly him and «clicked».
I was most impressed with the presentation, explanation of products and education process in building.
Typically these type of things are boring to me however Matt made the entire process comfortable and fun.
The process in having my project started certainly took some time going threw all the approvals and permits. Krause took care of EVERYTHING and kept me updated the entire time.
The installation went exactly as expected, installers were very friendly, the project manager was related to the owner which I found impressive.
I now have hands down the BEST deck and patio in the neighboorhood…
I feel like I am the Jones’s of the community… lol lol.
In conclusion I was very happy with this company, highly recommend!!!
