The reason why it’s 3 stars because of the the unlimited choices you can put on your burger and milkshake so this is all based on preference on what you want on it. I was really craving a burger and was in forrest hills so this is where I ended up. I ordered my burger medium, but it lacked juiciness to it. Otherwise if it was this place would be a 4 – 5 stars. Come here on Mondays and Tuesday’s for the $ 20 deal.

I went here a few weeks ago with some friends, the whole over all experience was bad. From the food to the service. It’s no food to write home about. The waitress was horrible and at the end of it all she hands us the bill and tells us don’t forget my tip it’s not included …

Interesting concept, reasonable prices for the location. Good selection, but some of the portions are ridiculously small, like the fried pickles etc. But, no big deal to be honest. Love, love the onion rings, good hamburgers, somewhere between fast food and highend, if you know what I mean. Service is on the slow side, but nice servers which makes up for it, and frankly for a seat down place what’s the rush. If it was a take out joint, I’d have an issue with that. Weird thing is, but I like, is you never have to ask for napkins as they have a roll of paper towels on a stand on each table. Give it a shot, next to the Midway theater so nice location too!

I ordered a salad chopped with certain ingredients. When I got home I saw that I got a salad unchopped and w/out all of the ingredients. I called the manager and he thought it was no big deal because I still got a salad. I told him not to bother giving me the 15% he offered off of my next salad because I would get 10% off anyway. He thought this was fine, said OK and hung up. You decide if this is the type of place you would like to go to.

Updated review: the best burger place I’ve been to so far! For my last review, I ordered take out so I wasn’t able to get the full experience. But when I did decide to go back and dine in, that changed my perspective completely. I’m not doubting the food here. I still stick to my review of the burgers except for the point about me assuming that they serve the buns straight out of the bag. Now, they grill it a bit to add a bit of texture and flavor. And yes, If you want to stay healthy, this is not the place to go. As for the menu, the last couple times I came here, it was still a bit overwhelming. However, I came here so many times that I was used to seeing it. Although, they recently updated the menu so it’s easier to see, and also to reduce the amount of ingredients they offer(probably because it wasn’t helping them gain a profit). The selection is still wide and there are a variety of dishes to choose from. They have the lunch special for $ 9(burger, salad/fountain drink, and fries/onion rings), the Monday and Tuesday night couple special for $ 23(2 burgers, 2 half fries/onion rings, and 2 fountain/smoothie drinks), and also a movie night special for $ 44(2 burgers, 2 half fries/onion rings, 2 drinks/salads, and 2 movie tickets to the movie theater a block away).

Came here because my brother was in the mood for some burgers and a milkshake. So we each had a burger with Mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, black olives and jalapeños and it was seriously disgusting. And it’s not even the toppings that I choose that made my burger disgusting, it was just the burger as a whole. In addition, we also had some onion rings and fries and they tasted so bad as well. We ordered some cheese on the side so it won’t taste as bad but the cheese it self tasted like the cheapest cheese on earth. So I saved the good for last… My brother and I had some shakes and they were actually so good! Our server was also a really nice young lady! But unfortunately, this won’t be my burger spot!

I feel like this is a super underrated burger joint because of its cheesy décor and the competition it has(bareburger and opening soon, shake shack!). Came here for early Sunday brunch at 11:30am. Parking was a nightmare, probably because of prime lunch time and church letting out. You’ve received fair warning! We were a party of 7(with 3 kiddos in tow) and we had the place to ourselves… service was attentive and food was on point! Love their onion rings(lightly battered so you dont feel like you’re eating a pound of flour with each bite!!) and fried pickles. So salty but goes perfect with their horseradish dipping sauce! Mmmm One weird thing I’ll point out is that our super nice waitress asked me how i wanted my grilled chicken sandwich cooked. I even asked her again, how do i want my CHICKEN cooked? And she goes yes, well done? I was thinking«so i don’t get salmonella and the runs» but i politely just said«well done please». Weird. Think she was used to taking burger orders! haha I liked that the kids menus come with choice of baby carrots, apple sauce or fries and drink is included :) Will definitely be back!

this place is atrocious. I’m sorry to say. dingy, dirty looking, its really showing its age. the food itself is inedible. i thought that the ½ hour i waited for their food would give me fresh hot fries with a delicious burger. why ask how you like your burger if you’re just going to cook the living hell out of it. i ordered a regular burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and jalapeños. nothing crazy. ordered a vanilla shake with no added syrup(just ice cream and milk) and an order of french fries. the total came in just under $ 14.00 ½ an hour later I’m waiting and my food is finally ready. i carry it to my car(right outside) and dig in… fries were greasy, limp and cold. they had been sitting a while. burger bun top was absolutely stale, as in, it didn’t bend or flop, it was hard. the bottom was stale but since it sitting on stuff it was soggy. the burger itself was inedible. i ate a few bites and really felt cheated. the meat itself wasn’t hot and it was so over cooked that it was like a hockey puck. i would have gone back but i already left and was driving at this point. the milk shake was good. really no complaints. fortunately I will never come back here.

Not that good. Had a grilled chicken melt. It had a funny bathroom cleaner smell. It was overdosed with cheese, and also didn’t have much flavor. Nothing special. Onion rings and fries weren’t good either. Couldn’t taste the onion. Felt like i was eating batter. The fries had a lot of burnt ends. Vanilla milk shake was okay.

It’s not no shake shack or 5guys, but I do have the say the food wasn’t bad either. The service was good the waiter kept checking up on me and friend making sure everything was good. We order a Oreo milkshake mix with almonds and essence. Med fries and a 20 ounce burger 2 sodas all for $ 30. Which wasn’t all that bad. The portion size are huge. The theme is quiet 80s retro cool out diner place to chill or grab a quick burger and fries. Deff would take somebody out on a date here it’s pretty laid back enjoy.

Okay, this place is perfect walking distance to the shops in town. It’s actually in a shopping center that clearly gets crowded. I love burgers so this place caught my eye while I was walking. I noticed that it’s missing the S in «Cheeseburger». I had no idea why, but I just ignored it. I walked in and it looks as though it’s owned by Asians… I completely get it now. Regardless who it’s owned by, it was the cutest place. It reminded you of restaurants back in the day when they had poodle skirts in the 1950’s, that type of décor. I love how different it is, not many places has a sense of style in that way. You could order in or leave. I decided to take it and go. The staff was great, and they had a bigger selection than I had assumed they would. They do staple the receipt to the paper bag they give you, and it made me draw blood when I picked it up, they hadn’t stapled it correctly. Just beware. I did go to to the bathrooms, and they had huge posters of a guy and a girl on it — it was tidy enough to go in, but it smelled terrible — and not because a customer was in it before me. It just felt dirty in there. Anyway, their Veggie Burger which I had gotten was INCREDIBLE. They have many options for toppings that are basically all free. They have more than just burgers too. So, pick and choose what you’d want to fill your burger with, then enjoy every second of it like I did.

My initial impression is that it looks like Johnny Rockets. My friend and I ordered big onions ring with French fries. I ordered the classic cheseburger and Reese’s pieces milkshake. She ordered turkey burger and Oreo milkshake.(I’m definitely hooked with onion rings and the milk shake, it’s soo good) You can create love how juicy and tasty the burger is and I love the 50s vibe in this restaurant and I also love the waiter since she’s friendly. I’m definitely coming back here again.

Once upon a time there was another 50’s era diner in Forest Hills. Its service and food was great. And then it closed. What a loss to the community! But now there’s Cheeburger, Cheeburger and it’s ambiance is similar. The menu offers a huge variety with multiple options to ‘invent your burger’ in sizes ranging from The Classic 5.5 oz, the Semi-Serious, 7 oz, the Serious 10 oz, the Delirious, 14 oz and finally, the Famous Quarter Pounder, 20 oz. burger. Toppings and other options abound. Their Onion rings are the BEST!!! Incredible. Their Chicken Finger Platter comes with large portions of real chicken that is not overly salted or greasy. The menu offers what seems to be an unending list of shakes and malts. I’m obsessed with their lemonade and the cherry coke is great, too. It’s a great place for kids and the service is wonderful. The restaurant staff is friendly and helpful. Table service is excellent. Take-out may take up to fifteen or twenty minutes so I usually call in an order in advance and delivery is available within the Forest Hills area If you’re a cook, you should definitely purchase a bottle of their seasoning. It transforms your at-home burgers and other meats and ratchets up their taste.

I have to say this is the cutest affordable spot you can take a girl to on a date.(First date or whatever date, still cute.) It has a 50s vibe to it. And sure, you’ll have people saying its corny– 50s music, 50s décor, etc. Don’t drink that haterade, just enjoy the fact that they don’t play Ariana Grande or Taylor Swift like every other burger place. I’m an old soul, so I really liked the whole theme. Every time my bf and I come here, it’s sort of late. But there are still a handful of people there. The waiters smile hello and say, «sit wherever you’d like.» So we pick the same table all the time. To start off, we tried the new fried pickles with vegetable dip. I told the bf cheese would have tasted better, but he wouldn’t agree. Eating fried pickles for the first time was pretty good! I was honestly worried about the fried pickles. I’ve never had any before… and I just wasn’t sure if that’ll work. But turns out it was really good. I guess everything really does taste better fried. :(*be still my beating heart, I will never deep fry everything.* You can create your burger however you want it. Which is GREAT. They have a load of different options to pick from. I usually always get my burger with provolone, and he gets his with mozzarella. We each got the half size burger– trust me, its big enough– and a half rings, half fries basket.(This is the Twos Day Deal, available on Mondays and Tuesdays.) It also comes with a milkshake, instead of a soda. You can create the milkshake however you want, pick ASMANYFLAVORSASYOUWANT. ISTHATNOTWHATDREAMSAREMADEOF, HILARYDUFF?! So I picked banana and chocolate-peanut butter. So. Much. Yum. The bf got hazelnut and Oreo cheesecake – funky combo, but it tasted pretty darn good. They do give you water in cute cheeburger glass mugs, so if you’re ever feeling overwhelmed by the swarms of flavors in front of you, have no fear. Take a sip. Relax for a second. Then continue eating that burger and finish off those fries. Finish those fries off by dipping them in ketchup and the Cheeburger Seasoning– I’m not sure what’s in the seasoning mix, but it tastes good when you mix it with ketchup. For dessert(on some other day) we’ve tried the banana split for two. You pick the flavor of ice cream you want, and you pick from an array of toppings… toppings galore I tell ya. Beware, if you pick snickers, the candy bits will get hard because of the cold ice cream. Makes sense. So don’t blame the banana split, blame yourself for loving Snickers so much you’d risk breaking a tooth for it. You can also do a couple’s meal thing. It’s $ 25 total for a meal that feeds you and your date – this is the meal that includes a soft drink, half size burger(will fill you up, I promise), half fries/half rings basket, and banana split for two. Aaaaand, you can even buy movie tickets here! It’s cheaper! Food and a movie?! Yaaaaas!!! The movie theatre is literally a couple steps away from this place! I enjoy Cheeburger a lot to be quite honest. I always have a good time and always enjoy my food when the bf and I come here. I don’t come here often but that’s because these burgers leave you so full you don’t wanna over do it and end up hating what you just enjoyed so much of. Bring your date to Cheeburger! Bring your mom to Cheeburger! Bring your friend to Cheeburger! Bring YOURSELF to Cheeburger! Don’t be ashamed. So many people walking out that window wish they were you enjoy that burger. Go forth. Embrace the Chee’.

So I’ve been eating a lot of burgers recently. This is a cute spot to grab a burger before going to the near by theater if you have a lot of time to kill because service is slow. I think it might be because they are so busy which to me is a good sign. I got the smaller sized burger which was more then filling with American cheese. Yum yum yum juicy and tasty Next time I’m getting a float or banana split.

I stumbled upon this place by accident while wandering around with a friend. I had heard of the name before and knew they had several locations, but had no idea what to expect. Cheeburger décor-wise is a lot like Johnny Rockets — it is a 1950s style diner. Their appetizers mostly consist of deep fried stuff such as french fries, fried artichoke hearts, fried mushrooms, sweet potato fries, and fried mac n cheese. I tried all of these and thought they were all good. The artichoke hearts were surprisingly good and reminded me of vegetable tempura. Their main offering is basically just burgers. They come in various sizes, with the largest size being a whopping 20 ounces! You also get loads of sauces and toppings to choose from for your burger. Way too many to list but I think there were at least 40 different toppings. Similarly, they offer just as many milkshake flavors too. The huge variety is the main plus with this burger place. Prices are not high either. The only bad thing I could say is that my burger patty was a little bland. Whoever is making them needs to add a little more flavor into the ground meat, whether it be more salt or garlic or seasoning.

I came here for the first time for their movie tuesday deal. It was two hamburgers fries and two shakes. I like the burger. It was really filling and there’s tons of free options like artichokes And onions. There’s also tons of free sauces to add onto ur burger but who really wants that many sauces. The fries were normal. Nothing spectacular. The fries can’t be upgraded with any toppings either so that was a bummer. I got a coconut flavoured shake and didn’t like it even though I love coconuts. It was wayyyyyyyyy too sweet for me. They also mixed it to much to The point where it tasted like cold liquid sugar. It wasn’t a «shake» to me because there was no thickness to it. The servers were nice and gave me suggestions on what to get when I was there. The hamburgers can be upgraded to a bigger patty if you’re really hungry. The place had a nice oldies look to it. I really liked it. They didn’t rush me or anything so that was a place. The meats aren’t as exotic as those at bareburger, but its a great alternative to a crowded place! I would go again!

Right before last nights fight and after watching the new avengers movie, I wanted a burger so this was the place I went to kill the craving. The place was not neatly kept and it’s a dive burger joint. The burger was okay as far as taste but everything else was not so good. The bun was heavy and my extra topping was guacamole but there was barely any of it on the burger. I will not go back three stars for the burger taste itself…

The best days to come here are on Mondays and Tuesdays for their«Two-for-Tuesdays» special where you and a friend get a shared order of half-fries/half-rings, two Semi-Serious burgers, and two shakes for $ 20. Otherwise, I can see where other Unilocalers say it can be a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get. The fries are great but the rings are too battered and not crispy enough. The burgers are solid because despite the bland taste and relatively small size, you get to choose as many toppings as you want(granted, most of them are sauces and premiums like mushrooms and bacon are extra $). I’ve never had the guts to truly say«Everything» because I don’t know how the kitchen would respond with 20+ toppings/sauces. Plus, it wouldn’t look like a burger anymore! Perhaps the best part are the shakes: I’d recommend the Blueberry Cheesecake or Key Lime. Overall, Cheeburger lives up to its calm, casual, retro theme. Good alternative to nearby Bareburger when you’re feeling something different.
