Not the happiest staff …, bad vibes… the staff at Yellowstone in FH… much nicer. Cheers.

As they don’t carry any gluten free items, I only buy coffee here. Unlike the other DD locations in FH, they ALWAYS have a deal on their coffee by the lb. I make a point to stop here to load up while running errands on Metro.

Weighing the scales of how to rate a corporate conglomerate in the food business for me is seventy five percent about the menu and twenty five percent about the staff. Working under the corporate iron fist, wearing really ill colored uniforms, working long hours for poor pay with little chance for advancement and dealing with people that never seem to stop coming in, during the morning rush would have just about anyone sanity nearing their frayed ends. So I give much leeway in the service portion and I tip the staff as they are very friendly and my simple order is always accurate.(I just order coffee) Speaking of which, I really do not have any significant affection for their in store coffee roasts, the taste is that of used water from those cheap beer coolers you buy, use and dispose of when you were going to Rockaway beach back in the early 1990’s.Plus, the coffee never reaches that darker hue that the stronger coffee’s in other chains make available. But it is close and my local market that did sell coffee closed two weeks ago. RIP Fastbreak, you will be surely missed. From a personal standpoint I never liked their bagels or breakfast sandwiches all as the bread the bagel is created from is like a frozen Lenders bagel just bigger, and I believe the concept of a glazed doughnut used to create a breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg is not a good trade off. That concept is one of those ideas that should have been left smoldering at the chalkboard in a heap of ashes, long before the taste testing, focus group stage. Hashtag: KFCDoubleDown. remember that thing? Who comes up with these ideas.

after doing a fair amount of eating at Wafa’s, I decided to grab some coffee on the way back to my apartment. 1.5 mile hike’s gotta have some payoff, no? small but not cramped, it’s an adequate Dunkin. the hazelnut blend is my new benchmark of Dunkin locations and this spot didn’t disappoint.
