The bartenders were friendly and knew what they were doing, which in result obviously the drinks were phenomenal and the bartenders definitely gave great suggestions as to what we should order according to what we told them we like in regards to spirits and taste. My friends and I will definitely be returning!

Tiki cocktails with a modern twist. Great place to have a drink after dinner or just to hang with friends. The bar man Valentin is a cocktail scientist.

I admit that I was never a fan of the tiki style of cocktails. I always found it overly sweet and corny. Well after visiting here I was schooled, and I have a new found appreciation for the style. Never in my life would I expect a bar of this pedigree to be in the Forest Hills stretch of Metropolitan Avenue. With the addition of End of the Century, I’d rather find myself wandering this area of Forest Hills as opposed to Bro-tastic Austin Street. The décor is pretty basic. A few of my friends were a bit disappointed of it’s non tiki look, but I felt anything too drastic would stick out like a sore thumb in this area. End of the Century is a cocktail bar masking as a neighborhood haunt. I thought that was perfect as it looks more accessible and not alienating to the community. Pretense is out the door. We scoured the menu. I decided to deviate from my usually spirit forward stirred drinks and suggested to my party one of the punch bowls. We started with the Rum Vroom Punch. Served in a scorpion bowl, the drink was definitely strong but delicious. We added another scorpion bowl to our tab and after decided to go something a bit more traditional me. I asked Valentino if he could make me an Old Fashioned, to which he replied confidently, «Can I Make you an Old Fashioned!» I’ve deviated from ordering Old Fashioneds in recent years due to how many places just screw it up or just plain tired of the different failed renditions. Valentino made me a believer again. Best one I’ve had in years. Speaking of Valentino. Part owner of End of the Century. No doubt the most personable bartender I’ve ever met. Chill, laid back, and knowledgeable. The dude knows his stuff. He has a passion for tiki and it shows. He’s had a storied history in the NY bar scene and I can see nothing more than great things coming for him in the future. That said, thank you Valentino and company for bringing something like this to this part of town. Classic cocktails in a welcoming unobtrusive setting. Your neighborhood bar with an added zing.

This place is such a hidden gem. I must have walked by this place at least a dozen times without even realizing that it was a bar! I came here on a Friday night with some friends and the business seemed a bit slow — no complaints though, it just means the bartender, Val, paid more attention to us :) We started off with one of their amazing creations(I think it was the highball) and the presentation was amazing. Val was even nice enough to come back and check up on us — he even added more absinthe! Their tiki drinks were superb as well and it definitely helped that Val has a heavy hand. FYI — for those who don’t want to just sit and drink, there’s a pool table in the back at $ 2 per game

Went on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty and at first we didn’t want to go in however I’m sure glad we did… Antonio was our bartender and he was great! Not only was he a great mixologist but overall he created a great experience by talking to me and the girl I was with and got to know what we liked in terms of drinks and gave is a rundown of all the spirits they served. They’re not your run of the mill jack and coke type of spot and nor should they be. They know what a good cocktail is supposed to taste like and I can’t wait to go back. They even gave us a sample taste of their upcoming Thanksgiving cocktail and I must say it was delish…

I can honestly say, this place would be my «regular» bar. It’s far from regular, but exquisite, unique, and phenomenal. Antonio and Toby were on point with the drinks with my best friend. We came on a Saturday it was sorta slow, but I got to know more about the bar. Antonio and Toby made drinks based on our personas. I like light, dark, actually everything. They came up with different stuff and made me a Queen Park Swizzle… AMAZING Eastside… Is refreshing and amazing Troublemaker… Is efffin amazing! Yeah… All I could think of is the word amazing. My best friend likes darker liquor she had: Witches Brew 2& African Flower and she really enjoyed it! I can honestly say these bartenders give another vibe and they get to know you and give you great drinks! We had a lot of fun, definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good time! No food yet, but it’s upcoming.

Tiki drinks but not entirely a tiki theme bar in terms of ambience/décor. Small but cozy. Great/knowledgeable bartender and def a nice go to low key spot for the neighborhood. Will be coming again!

It was a late Wednesday evening and most places around the area were closed. My friend and I stumbled upon this place and it grabbed our attention. There was no one inside except for 2 individuals whom I believed worked there as well. We asked if they were closed and the bar tender greeted us and welcomed us in. He explained their tradition and unique style of drinks. To make this sweet and short. He was great by explaining their cocktail menu and even asked us what our favorite drinks were. He brought us quite a unique drink and I personally loved mine. He invited us for a drink which was on the house and one of their traditions for all first timers there. A delicious pineapple daiquiri. That drink could be addicting and deceiving. His service was impeccable. Thank you Antonio! This is definitely a Great little gem in queens. If you’re all about whiskey or beer. I wouldn’t recommend it since they’re known for their unique cocktails and tiki drinks. Their drinks are delicious and the bartenders are cool, fun and if you want a drink that’s not from their menu. Just ask for it. They’ll surprise you. They’ve got a pool table as well and a nice choice in music. Stop by!

Holy crap! This place rocks !! I had such a great time when I visited. The staff was friendly and extremely knowledgable of drinks, mixing and all that. The drinks were delicious, couldn’t leave without trying a few different ones. They’re all about 12.00. A little pricey, but they’re totally worth it if you’re in the mood to splurge. The display of these drinks and of course they’re ingredients are what it’s all about. Fully garnished, beautiful and delicious. The atmosphere isn’t very divey like most tiki bars are, but it really doesn’t matter once you sit down with their awesome drinks. Must visit ! Will return !!

Not being one who can observe art and decode the origins of the painter, nor his intended painting, I stalled in determining the overall motif of the influences within Metropolitan Avenue’s relatively new edition. The initial onslaught of visually intricate items popping off the walls had me guessing. The End of the Century’s wall dressings consist of roughly sixty photographs, tiki heads and paintings. To envision with my brush, what ownership had in mind is beyond my reach, but it was cool as heck anyway. Bar master Antonio, my newest mixologist friend, a man of confidence and foresights took our choice underlying liquor liquids and turned out beverages fit for English royalty. Yes, the gin made me say that. The crushing and handling of the ice cubes were fast and furious. His precision – shaking, cutting, and trimming were new to me, he worked differently than any other bartender, gaining our utmost confidence with his professionalism. The Karaōke Honeymoon tasted just like its name suggests. The first sip was exquisite — it took me away to a place I’ve never been, it seemed, far away— but the colors, the explosive flavor and euphoria – they are all there – and they are familiar to me. We danced together, hand and glass, bound together as one. Ginger, lemon, Italian Rum, Nutmeg and Bicotti liquor are what made this magical place. I want to go back. Gordon’s Breakfast, although less of a love affair than the previous honeymoon– the flavor complexity and intensity didn’t disappoint. Cucumber, salt & pepper, hot sauce, ginger and Worcester sauce. The drink reminded me of being in a huge English library with regal appointments, but an evil butler is lurking behind the tall velvet drapes trying to go unnoticed. He is inciting an occasional low but noticeable jab to my tongue, it was the hot sauce and Worcester within my drink.

As someone who loves going into the city to discover places like this… to find one in QUEENS is a blessing. If you’re not really looking for this bar, you’d walk right past it. No flashy lights or signs, just a door leading you into one of the best bars in Queens. Came in here on a quiet Tuesday night with 3 of my buddies and we sat right at the bar. We sparked up a conversation with our bartender, told him the type of drinks we like and let him take care of us the rest of the night. We all had about 4 – 5 drinks each which all were nothing short of spectacular. Unfortunately there isnt a kitchen to order food yet, but no worries because if you’re nice enough the staff will allow you to order some food from a local spot and bring it in. Pricing here on drinks were amazing and even better for the quality of the drinks you receive here. Toward the end of the night my buddies and I were able to chat it up a bit with the owner who was really cool and kind enough to give us a tour of the backyard area. My buddies and I definitely look forward to coming back here, and considering that its in queens, we’re definitely going to work our way into becoming regulars here as well! Signed– Korean Daddy. *insider* :)

My wife and I got some sad news about our favorite pizzeria closing down so we needed a picker upper. Picked up two of our friends and headed on over to EOTC. It’s not a «hidden lounge» like most of the other places that seem to be popping up everywhere, but that doesn’t mean it has any character! Awesome old school black ceiling, tiki glasses, massive ice cubes and really badass mixologists. There were a few people in there at about 10PM on a Tuesday night, but all the better for us. The mixologist basically took away our menus and started letting his imagination run wild. 20 cocktails later, we decided to call it a night. No food here yet, but it’s on the way. Plenty of places in the immediate area to get something to munch on. The owner was a really cool dude and gave us a tour of the place. Looking forward to coming back with a larger group of people. Pricing was excellent. They take credit cards. Customer Service is top notch. The bar area is pristine. Bathrooms — pristine. *Inside joke* Japanese Beer and Korean Daddy *Inside joke*

Went here with my boyfriend on a Thursday night and the vibe was very chill. There were people playing pool in the back area so if you’re into that it’s there for ya. There wasn’t a lot of people like about 8 beside us, which wasn’t a problem for me. The bartenders were cool and knew a lot about their drinks and easy to talk to. Both of my drinks were really strong, I tried to get a different kind of drink from my norm of the fruity and tangy and I shouldn’t have. The drinks I got were good but hey you like what you like. The bartenders are super accommodating, when there was a drink I really didn’t like they threw it out and made me another one that was more my taste without charge.

What are you even DOING in Queens EOTC? Go home, you’re clearly drunk. I came in with a boy around 10pm on a Saturday and the place was sparsely populated. A couple of tables full, another couple of people at the bar itself, very nice. Friendly crowd, when Danzig’s «Mother» came on I belted it out with the chick sitting next to me. Shockingly good music. Bartenders were friendly and talkative, walked us through the menu. This is the first time I’ve been to a more upscale tiki bar, and in some ways it seems less that than it does a bar with tiki drinks. But I had a great time, the drinks were delicious.

Finally there’s a cocktail bar that brings life to the almost geriatric strip of businesses in metropolitan Ave. Don’t get me wrong, there are a couple of other good restaurants and bars around but this is actually one I would consider rather special and worthy of revisiting. The place had been closed and was recently reopened with help of consultants from other speakeasy cocktail bars. Their cocktails are artfully crafted by their chatty head bar tender, and believe me… these drinks keep u wanting more. You can order from the menu if you like but I suggest to let the bartender use his imagination and make a different drink. This place is still trying to mature in personality and ambiance and that’s why I gave 4⁄5 stars. It’s probably one of the best bars in Queens.

I visit Dutch Kills whenever possible, so it’s a real treat to have a cocktail bar like this in usually quite boring FH. From my experience sitting at the bar, End of the Century comes as quite a shock to the locals who wander in– both the price and the sophistication of the drinks. Loved the Dr. Funk and for my second round asked Valentino to mix me up something based on my favorite ingredients.
