Food was horrible. The chicken was of terrible quality. I’ve had chicken in the average Chinese food restaurant that tasted better than the one here. The plate went to waste. The waiters took forever to serve us.

The first time I came to Hana I was totally impressed by their interior design. I didn’t expect the place to look anything like it does. Following that I’ve been here quiet often and I’m never dissatisfied or unhappy with the service. I can’t stress how nice the waitstaff are; they’re all friendly, very accommodating and welcoming. Their food is out of this world, delicious and gorgeous in presentation. Their pricing is also very appropriate, not too expensive at all! I’d recommend this location to just about anyone.

Great fish, honestly the freshest I’ve had in a while. The décor is super cute, always come here with the girls. Would recommend it. The waitresses are a bit off sometimes though

Walking into this place, I was shocked at how nice it was set up. I guess I had high expectations of the food since the place was so nice inside. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t that great and the service was a bit slow. We ordered spicy shrimp rolls and chicken fried rice, but it was really bland. Was really hoping to like this place because its close by. It was my first time, I’ll wait a couple months and try it again since it is new.

The atmosphere in this location is great. The inside is small but doable. I wouldn’t recommend this place for big groups more like date night. The reason this location is getting 3 stars is for there food. I didn’t like the sushi, fried pineapple rice and chicken teriyaki. I really wanted to like this place the service was so good and the inside is so nice with multiple flat screen tvs. Honestly this is one place that I’m willing to give a second chance, maybe order something different and try there fish bowl. The night I when I was told there was like a 30 min wait for a fish bowl. Update coming soon!

Excitement filled me when I discovered that a Japanese/Asian Fusion restaurant was opening up on Crossbay. Residents of Ozone Park are fully aware of the limited(good) food around, so this was a nice surprise. Not long after its grand opening, we gave Hana a try. We walked in to a fancy room with white furniture, huge TV screens with music videos and sports playing and lighting that gave the venue a club/bar kinda vibe. Our server seemed a bit nervous, possibly new to the industry, but he was friendly …(and at times nowhere to be found). We ordered the salmon carpaccio, a sashimi entrée and some rolls, all of which tasted unexpectedly fresh. We also ended with a green tea ice cream but were left extremely confused because it was paired with whipped cream and chocolate fudge. We would’ve preferred the ice cream, like our sushi, in its most natural state rather than with extra coating. Besides the ice cream, the dinner was rather enjoyable. We even ordered take-out another time, but it didn’t include any dessert :)

Great, great sushi! Ambiance is sweet and the servers are great! Giant beers, food presentation was on point! Thai food(pad Thai) not that great. Had a different tomato flavor. I’d stay away from Thai food here.

The only reason why this review is not 1 star is because the bill was not so bad. The atmosphere is pretty for Queens, NYC. I feel they are concentrating to much on appearance and not enough on the quality and taste of the food. I had chicken teriyaki the presentation was nice and modern but the portion and taste were not good. The chicken was not even seasoned with teriyaki it was grilled and the teriyaki sauce was served on the side. My wife had the spicy tuna roll which she described as just ok. She also had thai pineapple shrimp fried rice which was presented in a half pineapple which made the rice very sour. The rice was not spicy at all. I never got any water.

The atmosphere is awesome. I was shocked at how beautiful this place was, from the chairs to the huge TV screens. The sushi is above average, and what gives them a step up is their service. I have noticed that their sushi has improved from when they first opened. The first time I ate here, the sushi was a bit bland, but every time I come it keeps getting better. The sushi was delicious the last time I came here. I would recommend trying the spicy scallop roll, it’s super delicious and haven’t seen many scallop rolls before which makes it unique. The service here is great, and the waiters always go out of their way to make sure we are having a great time. My boyfriend wanted something that wasn’t on the menu and the sushi chef happily accommodated us.

This place is like a New York restaurant on Crossbay Blvd., it has music videos playing, televisions for games, big booths, and a classy bar. I felt very underdressed coming in jeans. The staff was very nice so the stars aren’t against them, it’s against the food. I received WARM sushi, the rice didn’t taste right, and the Tuna tasted very fishy. I think the only part of the meal I enjoyed was the miso soup, and the helpful waiter, I think without him this place would receive two stars.

Take-out experiences only… First time I came here, I ordered sushi to go. The restaurant was rather empty as it was a weekday. I carried my dog in and ordered 2 sushi rolls — out of control & shrimp tempura. I waited outside as I did bring my dog. It took exactly 20min for my order to be ready. The shrimp tempura was very large and fell apart as soon as i picked it up. Out of control was much smaller in size and tasted okay — nothing to really brag about. I will probably order the shrimp tempura again as it packed the most flavor. Second experience, I ordered shrimp pad thai. I ordered prior to arriving and was told 20 min. I arrived at the 20 min mark and ended up waiting an additional 15 min. Not sure if they forgot my order, but it definitely was not ready. The restaurant was at capacity with over 10 patrons waiting to be seated, so i guess it was alright(Friday night). They should balance their orders considering mine was take-out. Anyway, this pad thai was by far the strangest i’ve ever had. It definitely lacked the deliciousness that pad thai brings. This version was loaded with huge slices of red and green peppers, white and red onions. The noodles were well cooked but lacked flavored — the peppers overpowered the dish. The shrimp was fine — hard to mess that up. I definitely will not order pad thai from here again. Okay sushi. Not so okay pad thai. Okay service(take out). Average prices. Happy dining!

We came to Hana for Valentine’s Day dinner. They were well staffed, so we were taken care of quickly and served promptly. The food was great! We ordered the kani salad, rock shrimp(very good), Thai basil shrimp(so delicious), chirashi(very fresh!), tiramisiu(delightful), and ice cream tempura(delicious!!). What wins me over, aside from the excellent customer service and delicious food, is the presentation! Check out the pictures! The food is almost too pretty to eat. The chirashi was so good. It was fresh and the textures were great. This place is definitely worth a shot. We will be back!!! Oh, and on our way out, the host gave us a rose, with all of the thorns removed — aww.

I loved the rock shrimp. The crab salad was great, too. They let you adjust the spiciness of the salad, which is good because I don’t like anything spicy, but my wife usually likes it, so they gave us spicy mayo on the side. The wait staff was extremely courteous and professional. Our waiter was very attentive, polite, and accommodating. We felt very welcome and comfortable here. The décor is also very nice. There’s an enormous TV on the back wall, usually showing a game. The presentation of the plates was also very nice. They clearly care a lot about their business.

Very excited for this restaurant(or any restaurant for that matter) to open so close to where I live! Ozone Park is pretty much a food wasteland so any addition is exciting. Checked this place out during non peak lunch hours(around 3 pm) on a Wednesday. I expected it to be pretty empty but there were quite a few people there! The décor inside is pretty interesting — I think they are going for a semi swanky lounge vibe with an emphasis on purple. There are also 4 huge TV’s playing a variety of stuff so even if you come out not liking the food, at least you will be entertained. Our waiter was friendly and took our order on an iPad(fancy). The food itself was pretty good — we ordered tuna tataki, fried oysters, the belt parkway roll(love the name), and the yellowtail & jalapeño roll. I also ordered two more rolls afterwards because we were still hungry. Everything tasted delicious, fresh, and the presentation was nice. I will definitely come back for the food. However, service although friendly was really slow. At one point, it took ten minutes to flag down the waiter and there were other staff members who were not very attentive. The food also took awhile to be brought out, which makes me worry about returning during a busier time. The prices are reasonable but expensive for the area(our total was around 70 dollars). Regardless, I hope to return and am looking forward to a better experience!

Hana is a delicious addition to Crossbay Boulevard. Beautiful restraint with friendly staff. Drinks are great; bartender doesn’t skimp on the alcohol. I ordered the 16pc Sashimi which was elegantly presented on a platter. Sashimi was excellent; even included caviar. I will be back for more!

The décor of the restaurant is quite inviting; the food was not great at all. The food was quite bland thank god for spicy mayo. The staff is exceptionally great… Including the manager. I did go there for the soft opening. So I’m hoping that in a few months to a year the food gets better and I would be able to change my review on this new establishment.

Hana means flower and what a beautiful flower that has bloomed here in Hana Asian bistro. They opened very recently and I couldn’t wait to make my première visit! The décor is absolutely beautiful. It has such a classy and modern vibe. It is very spacious and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and my server Andrea was so sweet and attentive. I started with the Mango Vercimelli salad with a Thai chili dressing.(My favorite!) My friend and I then moved on to rock shrimp. It was fried perfectly and tasty! The sauce wasn’t overwhelming either. My friend ordered the ribeye steak and crispy calamari bento box. It came with a California roll, shumaii, and rice. I ordered some sashimi(salmon, tuna, & yellowtail) and a peanut avocado roll. The fish was so fresh and very generous pieces. Unfortunately, we were too full and satisfied to squeeze any dessert in our tummies, but the dessert selection was so unique compared to a typical Asian restaurant. Overall, my experience was great! The fact I live within walking distance will make this place my new spot!
