Oh my husband and I love this place ! Their food are awesome and their specialty sausages are really yummy! Great beers and sweets too.

I really like this place. I came here to eat months ago and came back recently. I ordered the ribs, mashed potatoes, string beans. Amazing, the half rack of ribs are sooo good. Very tasty. My fav thing Is German potato salad, amazing. Never had it before so every time I’ll get it on the side. Sides are pretty cheap. Def will be back.

Today, my boyfriend and I are celebrating our anniversary, and I’m up to my 500th review, so I thought it would commemorate all of these special things by reviewing the place where it all started. Thinking back to that first date, I remember quite a lot of things — waiting a little bit awkwardly for a table with our oversized beers, looking at the menu and trying to decide what I could eat on a first date without looking like a food noshing monster, and wondering if I could sneak a few photos of the entrees for my impending Unilocal review(no). I also remember how damn good the food was, though I can’t remember exactly what I ordered(on any of the occasions we’ve visited). I realize this is not very helpful, but I do know we’ve had a variety of the sandwiches. We’ve definitely sampled the schnitzel, which is great. Boyfriend is an absolute fan of the reuben. And the sandwich leftovers and the french fries both reheat well the next day(though did I look tacky taking home half a sandwich on a first date? I don’t care, it was too good to sacrifice!) I also really love the pierogies, which I was too shy to suggest that we order and share on our first date, and had to wait ’til we came back. They’re fried so they have a nice crisp outer shell that’s perfect for slathering sour cream all over. We’ve never had any of the entrees, but they all look really fantastic in the pictures, I think we’ll have to come back for ‘em. We’ve also never drank a beer out of das boot, but there are plenty of good German beers that can be consumed in slightlyyyy smaller sizes.

This place is amazing! I went here with my wife one day and sat at the bar. The food is incredible and their cheese plates are worth mentioning. Their beer selection is also pretty epic. It’s a bit out of the way from the train station and the only way to get there is thru bus or walking. But definetly worth the trip!

Wunderbar! That is what I was exclaiming after this amazing German/Bavarian dining experience! The Manor Oktoberfest in Queens serves you up not only great food but atmosphere of a Rathskeller in the heart of Germany! Our waitress Isabella, was a sweetheart and was all decked out in a Bavarian shirt and advised us of all the specials and events of the restaurant. The dish that brought us to this restaurant in the first place, a large salted soft Pretzel with a cheese beer dip and also a good spicy mustard! We took half of it home since we did not want to fill ourselves before getting to our entrees. I also tried the Beef goulash soup served with a soft pretzel bread stick that was more like a stew which was so satisfying and delicious with big chunks if beef! The Sauerbraten and JagerSchnitzel were so good with sides of spatzle, red cabbage, potato pancakes and apple sauce! This German girl was in heaven! Of course I had to had my pint of Dinkelacker Pilsner to go with this feast! They serve many Bavarian, Austrian and German beers and liquors! Prost!!! We packed up a lot of the food since there was so much, so we will be enjoying it tomorrow as well! Seeing the dessert menu, we had to try the Raspberry Marzipan Almond Cake that was so decadent and rich! I added a German coffee which just put me over the top in a total food coma! This restaurant has a German band on certain dates and an accordion entertainer as well making this the total German dining experience! Auf Wiedersehen!

The next day– my family is still raving about the BEST place they have eaten! We went on a Sunday night and were seated right away. The hostess and waiter were very pleasant. The food was delicious and served quickly! We had the potato pancakes and chicken liver pâté to start– yum yum yum! For dinner, I had the Wiener schnitzel. Very good and very filling! We will definitely be coming back!

Nothing special here. They used the cheapest fattest smallest chicken wings, ugh. The baby portion of potato salad is not filling nor tasty. Nothing impressive about their food.

A late Friday night Dinner with my Boyfriend proved to be more than what i expected. Upon entering i immediately noticed the comfortable chatter of all those drinking and dining. The atmosphere had a friendly feel but what caught my eye as we were seated, was the GIANT pretzel hanging over the bar. So many bottles sparkling in the mirrored glass behind the bar created a childlike wonder inside me and I wanted to see, learn, smell & taste all of the Wonderful German food i could handle. My partner took the opportunity to let his German heritage shine by ordering for the both us, and did a fine job at doing so. He ordered The Chicken Liver Pâté served with Rye bread, fresh onions and pickles. The flavor was simple, yet delivered a promise of fine french(not German) Cuisine. The Wurst Platter, offered 3 different choices of sausages but he only ordered 2. A Bratwurst, seasoned traditional pork and veal sausage, and a Krainer Wurst which is a spicy smoked Bratwurst infused with cheddar cheese served with a side of German potato salad and sauerkraut. Nothing but delicious in every sense of the word. The last meal of the night was Sauerbraten, One of the most traditional of German Dishes and consisted of Marinated beef, Spatzel(German Pasta) and Red cabbage. Everything was just so perfect and well made, you can tell that a lot of tender loving care went into the preparation of the meals. For Dessert i order Apple Strudel with Vanilla ice cream, that was incredibly sweet… But not as sweet as when my boyfriend went out of his way to ask the owner if he could purchase«DASBOOT» for me, to add to the whole German dining experience…

Great food, great beer selection, great staff — and almost in the middle of nowhere. Joined friends for a quick dinner by the bar and I had the Hungarian pork steak(a special for the evening and not always on the menu; the owner’s wife is Hungarian) — it was excellent; my friends had a pork tenderloin cordon bleu sandwich(a fantastic twist) and a burger(sometimes you want comfort food). Highly recommend Manor if you want a hearty meal, good beer and/or lively company at the bar.

Main reason for coming here: My boyfriend and his friends love the beer– The Spatan Octoberfest– They have it year round and from what he tells me it’s only at this restaurant. This review is long over due, I have been coming here for about 2 years now and that says a lot. Pros: The food is amazing– They have amazing hot wings and Crispy Chicken Cesar Salad My 2 favs. All the sandwiches are amazing on the menu. The food is fresh and the price is very reasonable. The staff is amazing and very pleasant! The service is quick but at the same time you aren’t rushed. In the back they have a party room where you can have parties; I have been to a baby shower and a friends b-day party. I had a great time. Cons: So far away. It’s worth going… You will have fun. It’s a restaurant but they also have a bar area and don’t worry for the sport fans that will come they have TV’s everywhere so you wont miss a game

Manor Otkoberfest is delightful in terms of ambiance and food. The noise level is conducive to speaking with your company, but the restaurant is also vibrant enough that you don’t feel relegated to using your elementary-school-hallway voices. The potato pancakes, jaegerschnitzel, and pretzel are among the best I’ve tasted, and the portions are prodigious. The spaetzle was the only item that I feel needs some improvement; it could use more flavor. Our server was friendly and efficient, but we could have used slightly more time between the appetizers and entrees.

Save money on a flight to Munich and come to this place. This is as close as you will get to actually being in Munich during Oktoberfest. For starters they fly their pretzels daily fresh direct from Munich, you actually have to taste it to believe it. It just melts in your mouth, get it with the beer cheese. I normally cant even eat one pretzel, here I could just inhale two without second thought. The beer selection is decent, and you can order in 3 sizes, the .5L, 1L, and the boot. I normally go with the 1L as the other sizes aren’t suitable for me. If you are not sure or want to drink several beers, go with the .5L We got a bunch of appetizers to share, everything was excellent. The Potato Pancakes with apple sauce were perfect, I prefer them with sour cream though. Herring was excellent too. The Pierogies were a bit too doughy for me, I didn’t like them. As for the main course I got the Wurst & Kassler, we all got different ones to share. I got the Krainer and it was perfect, It didn’t need mustard or anything else. The dish comes with potatoes and kraut, both were excellent. Service here was also good and very friendly. I will be back here for sure.

Food was absolutely terrible — bratwurst was burnt and cold and tasted like it was packed with all kind of chemicals, sauerkraut was soggy, right out of the can(not a good brand though), pretzel was stale and clearly wasn’t baked on premises, instead of goose spread they brought some disgusting tasting cheese spread and then apologized and told us that they don’t have any other spread. Couldn’t they tell us when we were placing an order? Honestly, I haven’t had such a terrible ‘food’ experience for a long time! Waste of money and time!

This review is just for the service at the bar. I told the bartender that I wanted to start a tab and order food as soon as I walked up. He acknowledged me and took the orders of the people next to me first. I can understand. First come first served. Then he walks to the other end of the bar and doesn’t come back to me for another 15+ minutes. I watched as everyone at the bar gets their drinks even the 2 dudes that just sat down next to me after 10 minutes of waiting. My patience was lost and I was on the brink of losing it before he finally acknowledged me and took my card and orders. Standing at the bar and waiting that long while being completely ignored without an apology even though I was trying my best to be polite and not be rude really really pissed me off. Sorry but I doubt I’ll be coming back nor will I recommend any of my friends to come here. I was the only Asian guy at the bar. You seriously didn’t see me??? Either get some more people behind the bar or teach them to get to everyone in a timely manner. He even changed the TV channel before he would get to me because that was obviously more important.

I always have a solid experience when I come here. I enjoy sitting at the bar more than the dining area because they have TVs with sporting events on and you always meet someone nice to talk to. Jan and Stephenie are excellent with remembering your order after a few visits. They make it feel like the Cheers of Forest Hills. I fully suggest everyone order the potatoe perogies or the coconut shrimp for an appetizer, the fish tacos for dinner, and a delicious piece of German chocolate cake for dessert. Order any beer and just relax. Occasionally they have live music and karaōke. I’m very happy Manor opened up here a few years ago and I hope they stay for many more!

Been coming here for years. This place never disappoints. My husband says this restaurant has the best burgers in Queens. I get more excited about the daily specials. Today I had the fish tacos. The hostess and wait staff are super friendly and accommodating, plus this place is kid friendly. Great neighborhood restaurant.

After having been back a few times, I’m going to upgrade my previous review and add a star. There were def a few things holding back Oktoberfest in the past, which you can read about in my previous review, but having returned a couple of times to dine in, I can happily say that some of those issues have been cleared up. I always had great food and beer from Oktoberfest. Quite honestly, one of the most important factors when going to a restaurant is consistency. They have that in spades. Thankfully those pesky customer service issues that kept them at 3-Stars seem to have been cleared up. At the bar, I was attended to by an honest and attentive barman. Dining in, I didn’t have to wait that long to sit down, order, or pay. If you’re in the mood for good German food, good beer, and/or a good time, you should def stop by Oktoberfest. You can read my previous review for more information, but I will again emphasize that the Black Forest BLT is amazing and you should have it with a Spaten Oktoberfest.

I always crave a wiener and beer during the fall season. We decided to come here last night for the first time. We ordered the cheddar wurst and monet wurst platter which came with sauerkraut and German potato salad. We also ordered the jäger schnitzel which was a huge platter of pork cutlet topped with a mushroom gravy and home fried potatoes and red pickled cabbage. Every thing was delicious. Portions were great. I especially loved the cheddar kraken(??) wurst. It was smokey and spicy and garlicky. Sooooo good. They also have a large selection of beers that you can order In 3 different sizes. $ 7 for small. $ 13 for 1 liter and $ 28 for a 2 liter boot. They had many large televisions to watch sports etc. I’ll definitely be back!
