We split a small calzone for two people, and it was perfect for what we needed; if we had been having dinner, I think a large calzone would have been better. As it was, that was the perfect size to not leave us in a coma for the rest of the day. High quality, friendly service, and family friendly. Can’t ask for much more.

Good pizza, but extremely overpriced. Prices have gone up to $ 14.75 for a small and $ 16.75 for a large. Toppings are an extra $ 2 – 4. You’ll probably need small pie for each person since they’re, well, small. Large pies could probably feed 3 people but don’t expect to be stuffed. Might be the best pizza in the area, but then again, there aren’t that many great pizza places around Forest Hills to begin with. Also, don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. Pies take a while to cook and the service is slow. Nick’s is still worth a try though.

This pizza is so good. It’s thin crust so… Eating four slices is totally acceptable. At least I tell myself that.

We have gone a few times and it was okay considering the choices are very limited in the area. But delivery… even worse. We ordered a large pie with garlic, onion, meatball + peppers. $ 33.00 + arrived ice old. FYI the prices online are wrong and more expensive beware.

Great(thin, traditional, Naples-style) pizza in a nostalgic little space with ceiling tiles and old photos. Their arugula salad is very good as well. Service is anywhere from lukewarm to fabulous. What I’ve learned: Plain is delicious! Toppings, however, make your pizza dry near the crust, burnt and soggy in the middle — all at once.(If you must… choose one dry, lightweight topping at most. Like mushroom or sundried tomato.) The bottled sodas come out opened and already flat, which makes me suspect that they refill used glass bottles with their own, cheaper version. So we stick with water now. Espresso drinks are not great, despite that impressive-looking cappuccino machine. Guys, sometimes people(especially locals) don’t complain because they like you. So they just eat their way around the menu and learn what to avoid. Hate to see you lose out on that profit though. Overall, I think Nick’s is still one of the top spots in the neighborhood, but a more unforgiving patron might argue otherwise.

My girlfriend and i moved to forest hills about 6 months ago and had yet to find a solid pizza spot to call our own. We upset and we thought we’d never find a decent enough place for us, especially being the pizza enthusiasts we consider ourselves to be. That is until we came across Nick’s pizza on Valentine’s day, we absolutely loved it right away. We got the half & half red and white 12“pizza with meatball/broccoli rabe. My girlfriend even loved their Caesar salad. We were so pleased with quality that we decided THIS is our spot! Highly recommend. We’ll be getting delivery from there soon enough.

Honestly some of the best pizza I’ve had in the city. It’s definitely different and definitely not your traditional pizza, but in a very good way. The crust is perfect, not too thick but also not paper thin. Ours also came with a lovely rustic char on the edge of the crust. The quality of the ingredients is simply fantastic. We ordered half plain and half pepperoni. The mozzarella cheese is so fresh, it tastes like the kind you’d find on an antipasto platter. The tomatoes sauce is also delightful and full of flavor. The pepperoni is thick cut and definitely the best topping to get. Overall, its one delicious pie that makes it certainly worth the trip out to Queens. It really is that good.

This place has great pizza and service. The food is extremely fresh and delicious. Most of the time there is a bit of a wait but they do a great job getting everyone seated as quickly as they can. Overall favorite pizza spot!

The workers at this restaurant are pathetic. They somehow got my phone number and were«prank» calling me today saying that they had 20 pizzas and a handful of sodas outside my house. Funny sure but cool for a business establishment to misuse the costumers phone numbers like that.

I love this pizzeria! The décor takes you back to an old school rustic pizzeria in Italy and the food does not disappoint. Nicks offers quality pizza and the flavors are always on point when I go. The add-on ingredients are fresh such as the spinach and sausage. My husband has even asked for an extra bowl of sauce since it’s so tasty! Whenever I am craving thin crust gourmet pizza, I come here!

They sent me back to my car for $.01. I ordered a pie for take out. Waited 20 mins. The total was $ 20.01. I had a $ 20 bill and the women wouldn’t give it to me. Straight up said go back to your car and get a penny. Are you kidding me ??? Very unpleasant employees. Horrible customer service!

This place is seriously delish!!! Our friends took us here two weeks ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since… so much so that despite the blizzard I’m tryin go out and get some more since we’re back in Forest hills. I started with a crisp glass of Matua Sauv Blanc, their wine is a set at a great price! We then got a large pizza with prosciutto, ricotta, hot peppers and basil… aaaammmaaazing! Perfect crunchy crust, perfect amount of cheese, and a perfect sauce(we got extra on the side to dip). Our friends also ordered a cheese calzone which at first I thought wasn’t necessary but I was so wrong! More delicious crunch and a lot more gooey cheese, the ricotta tasted so fresh, so glad I had some! And with that I’m ready to brave the storm for some more…

Amazing amazing amazing. I’ve looked for better or just as good in queens and nothin will beat Nick’s. Gotta get the house salad appetizer and pizza is to die for fresh mozzarella and basil yumm. They have plenty pizza toppings for your choosing, you must try the olives! Place is cozy and service friendly. Even if you don’t have room try the cannolis Omggg best ever. Enjoy!

Maybe not the best pizza in NYC but it’s top 10 for sure. BUT! The cannoli from here is to die for. When I 1st had it I couldn’t believe how good it was. It was so good that it motivated me to taste the best cannoli in NYC. I went to Ferrara, caffe Roma, venieros & La Bella Ferrara and I must say that it’s not even close. I was shocked. The cream is perfect not too sweet and the crust is soft and easy to chew. The crushed pistachios in the cream filling compliments it well. Simply amazing. Highly recommend.

Solid«gourmet» pizza spot complementing the more«casual» A&Js in the hood. Bright spacious seating with old school charm and service. A large pie can feed 2 – 3. Additional toppings are a bit pricey but they’re great quality. I’d recommend half mozzarella half prosciutto. Throw in a Special Salad in there for greens and you’re set.

Take it easy. .. .. . I have to agree with the guy that wrote, «This is not NY Pizza» — That made me giggle. For Forest Hills, this is awesome. .. .. . But, overall Nick’s is OK.

I went here with my boyfriend on a Tuesday afternoon looking for some good pizza. He had recommended this place before and were keen on going together. The experience, alas, was horrible. The pizza was fine, albeit a little overly charred. The service was horrendous. The two female servers working could not have cared less and were not even vaguely polite. Very disappointing as the gentleman who usually works as night has an affable personality. We asked for tabasco and were immediately dissed and judged saying ‘they don’t do that,’ and then walking away. I understand if they dont carry the sauce or don’t want to serve it with their pizza, but the particular response was, i felt, unnecessary. Our salad was also prematurely cleared without even asking if we were through with it or not. The check was dropped without any care or thanks shortly after. We aren’t picky diners, but we both agreed there is a basic level of hospitality expected. We work in the industry. The owners should really reevaluate who they’re hiring. We won’t be back again. An otherwise great neighborhood pizza place gone to waste.

JUSTGO! You wont regret it!!! Quality fresh mozzarella cheese, thick pepperoni slices, and plentiful toppings. Might be a long wait if busy day, but can also get seated quickly. House special salad is recommended too!!! The only downsides are that some of the seating arrangements are cramped if youre seated in the middle and that sometimes they burn the bottom of the slices… However some people dont mind it… I dont like it so I just took the whole bottom off. Credit cards accepted. Tad bit expensive, but worth your visit!

Go now. Get on that fucking F train and go. It’s right off the stop. You’re not going to find any other reason to go to Forest Hills in the near future, are you? You never do anything new. Always the same haunts, trying to have new adventures in the same neighborhoods. How many times can you wait in line for a table at Jacob’s Pickles before you say enough? Your life needs more authenticity. You need a challenge. But not a real challenge, you’re a busy person. Successful. You’d like to think that others follow your lead. Well, here’s your chance to prove that assumption. Who is coming with you to Nick’s? If they also have the balls to sit on a train to get some good pizza, they’re probably going to stand by you in more substantial ways in the future. If they don’t come with you, you know they can’t hold up in the crucible. These are the great truths a trip to Nick’s will make known to you. But if you don’t go, you’ll never know. Do you really want to stand outside Jacob’s Pickles again this weekend? Don’t you think you’re treating it like something it’s not? You might have to wait outside Nick’s, but Nick’s is in Forest Hills. If there’s a line out here, that’s saying something. Doubly so when you realize there are no pickles on Nick’s menu. People must be coming to Nick’s for a reason. Jacob’s Pickles is right there. It’s so easy to stand in line, look at your phone, and glare at people who are taking their time with their meal and won’t give up you your table by the window. On and on, week after week. Always glaring at that table. When does the nonsense stop? Well, in my opinion, the nonsense goes out the window as you’re going under the East River out to Forest Hills. So go! Everything they serve is good. You won’t be disappointed.

The restaurant has lots of seating, great for small groups. I didn’t know that, so I ordered for pick-up. Definitely more pricey compared to other pizza places. I can’t say whether or not it was worth the price different because the pizzas here are different than a typical pizza place. Nick’s had flat bread pizza similar to Grimaldi’s(but I almost feel like Grimaldi’s tastes lighter and fresher). I ordered a large pie with pepperoni and fresh garlic. I’m not sure if the fresh garlic would’ve made a different, but I loved the thick cut pepperoni. Super tasty. I also ordered a prosciutto and spinach calzone. I love how it’s freshly made. It wasn’t amazing or the best calzone I’ve ever had, but definitely high quality. So the main downside to Nick’s is the price. It’s definitely worth trying

Came here on a recommendation and was expecting to really enjoy a good meal. First and foremost, the quality of the food is the most important, at least to me. And this fell short. Extremely mediocre. Moderately priced, a large pie would be $ 16.50, and toppings would be extra. Pepperoni was $ 3 extra. Mushrooms $ 3, and artichokes $ 4. They can do toppings on half the pie, and then the price of those toppings would be cut in half. So overall, not bad, considering I would get a large plain pie close to home for $ 18. But to be fair, you get more bang for your buck with a significantly larger pie with thicker crust, more sauce, and more cheese. Fountain soda was $ 2.50, but at least they give you a large cup. The waiter and waitress(only the two of them at around 3:30−4pm on holiday/Friday) were friendly and pleasant. Average sized place, with about 5 booths, split up on opposite ends, and standard tables/chairs in the center. We got a bum booth because my backing was loose, so every time the buy behind me in the other booth moved forward, I would fall backwards(granted I was leaning/resting on the chair back), and whenever he moved backwards, I would tilt forward. This was only a problem until the food came. When the food came, I sat forward and focused on eating. Service is quick –after ordering, the food felt like it arrived within 5 minutes! And it was clearly hot and fresh, steam coming off the pie. Cute décor, a soothing green color theme, with pictures on the walls in chunky gold frames. Had a little espresso station on one side, near the back. Music was playing — I briefly heard Michael Jackson, but it was subtle and blended in the background. You definitely heard more chatter from nearby eaters, which I prefer! I hate when places try so hard to have loud blaring music that’s meant for clubs in hopes that it makes it seem trendy. This was quiet and quaint, and good for grabbing a pie during a date or with family. Now here’s why I didn’t care for the pizza: Thin crust = burnt crust: Browning with a nice«crunch» when you bite into it would have been perfect, but this was a tad over just browned, and crossed over to bitter and burnt. Soggy — it doesn’t help when you order vegetables because the water would eventually create a soggy mess. But even my husband only had pepperoni, and it was still droopy pizza. He held it up, and it kind of flopped. Stingy on sauce and cheese — it felt like we were eating a piece of thin burnt cracker like bread, with a thin layering of sauce. There were bites of pizza where I never got any mozzarella. It wasn’t evenly distributed. And the times I did get cheese, it was very thick, so it overwhelmed the rest of the flavors of the sauce/toppings and I spent a fair amount of time chewing. And thank goodness for the toppings, because without it, I’d be eating soggy bread, little sauce, and gobby cheese. At least having the toppings broke up the mundane flavors somewhat. They didn’t give a lot of toppings either. That’s probably a good thing; the pizza might collapse or break with any additional weight. I was pleased the pepperoni was not the mass packaging slices, but something heartier like the Boar’s Head pepperoni I see at the Italian section of the markets. It’s in a good location, not too far from the train. But even then, I’m not sure I would want to go back. Lackluster. Not cheap where the taste/quality could be justified. And wouldn’t keep you full for very long.

I came here with a friend last week for dinner at around 7:50 hoping to be seated by 8:30 so I could break my fast for Ramadan on time. Good thing we came early because there were many people waiting on line and they said the wait would be half an hour for us. They don’t take reservations by the way. We ordered a large pie with half mushrooms and half hot red cherry peppers. The mushrooms were OK but the cherry peppers were very good and slightly spicy giving the pizza a kick. I really liked the pizza even though I am not a fan of thin crust. Service was great and I would definitely come back!

I have been looking forward to coming here to try the pizza. Boy, am I glad that I stopped by. I have always been very picky when it comes to brick oven pizza because my grandfather, and great grandmother would make homemade brick oven pizza at home. I have been to a lot of well rated pizza places in New York City. Hands down, this is one of my favorite places. I ordered a Cesar salad, large pie half prosciutto, half sausage. Dough was perfect, and the perfect amount of cheese. I love how they are generous with the basil. MUSTTRYTHECANNOLI! It’s pretty spectacular.

Good enough for a first date means good enough for anyone who loves pizza. The pizza is top notch. We ordered half regular and half with pepperoni and sausage, and BOY what a treat! Everything tasted delicious and freshly made. I recommend that everyone who loves meat and isn’t a vegetarian try the sausage and pepperoni mix. SOGOOD. I had a $ 6 glass of Montepulciano and it was very good. Seriously, I feel like this is a hidden gem that Forest Hills residents keep quietly to themselves; as they should. I don’t blame them. Fast, friendly and warm service with a smile. 5 stars for pizza that is comparable with some of the best in NYC, great service and very homey vibe that is easy to adore.

Nick’s has been around forever and I have been here several times over the years. The place itself doesn’t really scream pizzeria, more like a diner or coffee shop than a pizzeria. The place has a few booths on the sides and a few tables in the middle, the restaurant really isn’t all that big but the food is great and that’s all that matters. The food: White Pie– Ricotta and Mozzarella with spinach and pepperoni. The pie was a brick oven pie and it was solid, I did find the surrounding center to be a tad soggy but gets crisper closer towards the crust. The quality of the pepperoni was great, the spinach was nice but not really noticeable. Special House Salad– The salad was good, it had greens, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, olives etc. I did enjoy the salad but I thought it was a tad sweet and a little over dressed, still a good salad. Cannoli– The Mascarpone cream was wonderful, it was nice and light, I am used to a heavier and denser cream. The shell was too brittle for my liking, I like a hard crunchy shell. The one here seemed like a homemade one that was crunchy in a thin waffle kind of way. The crushed pistachio on the ends are a nice touch.
