Food is decent but 5.49 for an orange juice!!! Wtf. Ive gotten Orange Juice from other places in the city for less. Same price as any other juice with more ingredients, more fruit. The salad they dont chop up the greens and you end up getting less for your portion. Ive been to many salad places and ive paid about half the money for double the portion. Serious disappointment. Never again.

I always go in to try a take out/delivery place before feeling safe ordering on GrubHub. I came across Ripe online and went in to try it. I didn’t at first realize it was a waitstaff situation, but I was pleasantly surprised! I started with the sunset beach smoothie which was good. I will probably stick to juice in the future as I find it a little chilly to enjoy frozen treats. But Good! Then I got the great wall entrée platter. O. M. G. Delicious! The chicken was seasoned perfectly, the steak was lean and tasty, and it was a perfect amount of stir-fry sauce to cover the rice but not drown it. The portion size was great, more than I’d expected for $ 13! I could eat here everyday, everything looks delicious. Only problem will be not ordering the great wall every time!

Love coming here. It’s a health junkies paradise. The food ranges from soup, protein salads, protein wraps and protein smoothies. Key word: PROTEIN. But regardless, the food here is A++. The wait staff is very attentive and patient. You can add your own ingredients when making a smoothie. I like the flexibility. The wraps and salads are very filling, especially if you just had a monster workout from nearby NYSC. One of my few go to spots on Austin st.

A hit or miss, and most of the time a miss. They overprice their items and the quality of the food just never meets the expectation. Only a few items, and I mean very few are worth spending $ 10+ on.

Love love love this place!!! Food is delicious and healthy! And the most important… I have no idea how, but delivery to my place takes usually not more than 30 minutes! I LOVEIT!

Writing this review is extremely disappointing because since Ripe has opened on Austin Street, I’ve been ordering the Chicken Cheddar Melt over brown rice weekly. While its usually pretty consistent and delicious, last night I found a very unpleasant surprise. I was about to take a bite when I found a baby cockroach on my fork; had my boyfriend not noticed, I would’ve eaten it. What a disgusting and unacceptable experience. You’ve unfortunately lost two customers.

Just got the Ripe Signature Omelet which is loaded with veggies and tasty. It came with a nice green salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion all fresh. I had The Hulk juice which is now my favorite green juice in the area, so tasty. And finally the lentil soup, you can tell it’s made fresh and it was very flavorful and piping hot. I’m definitely ordering from Ripe from now on.

Rarely do I write reviews. It takes a certain kind of exceptional or bad dining for me to deem something that worthy of my time. In this situation I’m afraid it is. I was excited to learn about Ripe as I like healthy options of which there aren’t many in forest hills. So I ordered a bbq chicken bowl and half an avocado with some pico de gallo and when it arrived I was unhappy to learn it was cold, no pico de gallo to be found, and honestly for $ 17 I was expecting something of at least medium quality, this was poor at best. I called the restaurant and after being hung up on numerous times(to be fair it seemed to be a line issue) I spoke to a manager that begrudgingly decided to send me another dish with the pico de gallo, and hopefully this time not as cold. Again it arrived cold as ice, I received a tiny little cup of pico de gallo that he had wanted to charge me for and there was barely anything in it but rice and lettuce. Look, I’m not expecting Michelin star quality but again, if you’re gonna charge me $ 17 for a bowl of chicken I expect it to be tasty at the very least. Give me something to go on. This had nothing, bland with chalk tasting cheese and what tasted like Costco brand barbecue sauce, and iceburg lettuce, they couldn’t even step it up with romaine. I’m seriously disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. I hope to god they step up their game.

Working in Forest Hills is so bittersweet. There are so many food options, but most of them will give you high cholesterol and excess belly fat. Being that I have a wedding dress to fit into in about 6 months, I’m thankful to have a place like Ripe across the street. I used to have a similar restaurant called Freshark by my old workplace that I used to give all my money to but Ripe has like triple the menu. There are so many great wraps, it’ll take me forever to try them all. Last week I had the protein garden wrap which is brown rice, black beans, avocado, peppers and teriyaki sauce. YUM. It was huge(can very easily be split for 2 meals) for a little under $ 9. The one thing I’d say is friendliness goes a long way and I didn’t see any smiling faces. Either way, can’t wait to try the smoothies!

I have been here only a couple of times but each time the food and or smoothies were very good. Their whole concept is revolves healthier food options, which sometimes I must admit can be scary and taste bland. However, Ripe does it in such a way that it’s both simple yet delectable. I can honestly say that after eating here I already feel healthier. This is the perfect spot to grab your pre or post workout smoothies and also a quick nutritional bite to eat. I most definitely will be back.

I went to Ripe a couple weeks ago on a Friday after work. I got the chicken caesar salad and have to say that by the time I got home I had to pick out one-third of the lettuce due to it being brown around the edges. This is a good portion of a salad I paid for. I do hope the next time I go the materials used for salad, especially in early evening are better selected for consumers. If not I won’t be frequenting this spot again, especially now that I live in the area. Another irritation for me being nearby is that I’m two subway stops away and they do not deliver to my area. I’ve biked from my place at Union Tpke to Ripe and it’s 15 minutes total. So surprised to see they don’t deliver past 76th road it seems.

I recently revisited Ripe after a long hiatus. Admittedly, I’ve been slacking when it comes to my health over the past year and I’ve packed on more pounds than I’d like to prove it. So, in the spirit of retaking control of my health and beginning to make healthier choices, I decided that ordering dinner from Ripe as opposed to Chinese food or pizza would be a good first step. I ordered the glazed salmon bowl, and it was both delicious and satisfying. Apart from being a bit heavy handed with the brown rice, I don’t doubt that it was both healthy as well as hearty. I even ordered a Hulk juice for breakfast the next morning, and it was delicious! My main gripe about Ripe in the past was that I found their side dish options to be lacking. Black beans? Sweet potato? I get it, but think that they would really benefit by offering a small side salad as an additional option, and I think their customers would enjoy it.

Their drinks are beyond delicious! it’s very healthy and fresh too. Although it’s a bit pricey but they use fresh ingredients. You get what you pay for sort of deal. Some of my favorites are the Super 6, Autumn Summers, and the Santa Fe Steak Wrap.

Shakes are a problem here. Literally EVERY single time I have ordered a shake here it has tasted watered down and/or expired. Given the fact that I use every brand of protein out there I know how it should taste. I have given RIPE the benefit of the doubt and ordered a different one multiple times expecting different results. Yesterday I spoke to the Manager/Owner in regards to this and expectedly he comes back with ‘waddaya want me to do’? Here’s a start: A) Pretend you are speaking to a customer who just spent money on your product, whom you also inconvenienced minutes prior by substituting egg whites for regular eggs yet still charged the same price. B) Examine your process for making these shakes. I can make the same shake as you and it will taste night and day. Isopure is considered one of the better tasting shakes out there, yet every time I have ordered one from you it tasted like you put a teaspoon of protein in the shake and an exorbitant amount of water. C) Examine the shake you just sent out. The one I got yesterday was half-water/half floating chunky ice, barely protein. It tasted like it had been in a freezer and thawed. So sending me a replacement shake that is going to taste as watery as all the other times is going to be rejected. It’s up to you to listen to a complaint brought to you, determine the proper course of action, tell the customer what you’re going to do differently and then do it. If I have pointed out that the shake doesn’t taste right sending me the same one without detailing what you’re going to do differently changes nothing. D) Change your attitude. People who eat healthy are loyal customers because they tend to go to the same places. It’s difficult at best to find healthy meals at places that don’t cater to the lifestyle, so paying premium prices for a wrap and a shake when a full breakfast cost plenty less everywhere else should never be overlooked. C) You aren’t doing yourself any favors by acting as though a valid point wasn’t made or immediately becoming confrontational that a paying customer brought it to you. I was so put off by the manager’s reception to a customer complaint that I simply hung up without a refund or product. I’ve ordered from Ripe plenty of times based on the fact that the food is generally good, but given that my FIRST complaint wasn’t taken seriously or addressed at all, I can’t imagine ordering again.

Finally a real deal on smoothies n not some high calorie sugary drink infused with artificial fruit flavors. They promote healthy eating n I am heavily in to it. Located just in front of my gym, I love their smoothies, juices and wraps. N if u r a regular at this place, u also stand a chance to get ur 10th drink or wrap free!

Yummy yum! My best friend put me on to this place two weeks ago and I’ve been hooked ever since! For me the location is great it’s right on Austin between my house and where I workout. So far I’ve had a chicken wrap on whole wheat, the lean smoothie and I add granola, and their very delicious«Surf’s Up» salad. The smoothie is always fresh and well blended, the granola gives it some texture and makes it more filling. The salad has all fresh ingredients(Almonds, mandarins orange, pineapple, tomatoes, greens, avocado, and grilled chicken) and comes with a sesame like citrus dressing. Tasty! So far I have zero complaints, can’t wait to try some other thing’s. I think next time I’ll try some fresh juice and their Glazed Salmon Bowl.

Came here for lunch on a quiet Sunday. Not a huge place, but it’s clean and tidy inside with tables and table service if you are dining in. I placed my order at the counter before realizing I had a server but they were perfectly fine with me parking myself at a table. I went with the honey mustard chicken wrap and it was definitely satisfying. For a fast health food type place, I enjoyed my food and I would return to try more of their menu.
