I love the food here. I’ve been there for brunch and dinner. Great portion sizes and the prices are reasonable. I also went there for a paintnite event that was a lot of fun.

I found out about Exo when I moved to Forest Hills 4 years ago while wandering around the neighborhood. I liked it so much from the first moment their food hit my taste buds. I even got engaged there 3 years ago on the 19th of March. :) Pictures were taken by their friendly manager. I’ll never forget it.

I have ordered a pick up and the price on the menu was different from what I was charged, so while picking up I asked the hostess if maybe I have an outdated menu to what she replied«Probably«, then I asked if I could have the current menu and was handed one. Well, the«new» menu was identical to the one I have, and when I called and spoke to the same hostess, she suddenly remembered that the prices was changed last week and the menu is not updated yet! The burger I’ve ordered medium was well done and looked like McDonald frozen patty. Needless to say I won’t be returning to exo café.

Love the drinks, they aren’t watered down like a lot of places. It’s a 2 story bar + 1 lower level(entrance). FIRSTFLOOR: is a bit loud since they have live karaōke, I would’ve sang for a prize(free drink(;) …but that didn’t happen lol. they have a counter as well as tables if you’re in groups bunch of TV screens and a huge assortment of liquor. SECONDFLOOR: I tend to come here if I’m in the mood for just wine so a friend and I can have a more intimate time and simultaneously enjoy the view of Austin Street. Overall great drinks great appetizers only 4 stars because the service is kinda slow and the servers don’t have much knowledge about the drinks.

I come for their happy hour. The cocktails are good and the food won’t disappoint but what really matters to me is its a great place to relax with friends.

This place has become a favorite. I can honestly say the service is awesome, food is always good whether I ate in, take out or delivery. The quality is really good. The environment trendy but good for families too it has a very nice upstair seating. Very clean place. Music is great n not too loud. Excellent drinks n wine list. The bartender is attentive… The tv screens in the place are the best for Sunday games. They have weekly drink specials too. I haven’t yet been there for the brunch but I hear it’s the best and from the looks n reviews I look fwd to brunch at Exo. I went there alone my first time as I had time to kill before an appt n it’s perfect. I honestly didn’t feel uncomfortable. I sat in bar enjoyed my wine while I watched games n food soon came n it was delicious. In the warmer weather they have outdoor/open area to eat it’s really nice. The menu has variety of choices and reasonably priced. I honestly recommend this place to anyone …:)

I’m here solo. It’s my first time. I’m writing this review while I’m here so it’s super fresh and accurate! It’s a Friday night so it’s pretty busy in here. I was seated right away. There’s good music playing. This place has 3 levels. I haven’t seen upstairs tho. I’m on the ground level. Service is fast. I ordered a turkey burger with fries($ 14+) it literally came out to me in about 10 minutes. It was nothing special. It was okay. I’ve had amazing turkey burgers before. This was just edible. I didn’t care for the fries which is sad cuz fries are everything to me! I ordered the«Melon Mule» drink($ 11). It’s like a jazzy ginger beer with liquor in it. Supposed to have grey goise, fresh lemonade and ginger beer. I only taste lemonade and ginger beer. I can’t say that it’s amazing it’s just okay. At least I kno i won’t be tipsy walking to the train. The wait staff is very polite. The manager… im assuming… came over to and checked on me… even called me lovely. I dunno if he felt sorry for me cuz i was alone lol but I thought that was great. My waitress was nice. The night is still young and ppl are still rolling in. I am about to try the mango cheesecake($ 6.95) for desert… stay tuned… Alright I’m eating it. It’s not a slice it’s a circle if that makes sense. It tastes plain old okay. I’m not loving it. It’s got almonds and mango sauce on top. I honestly wanted to be love it. Overall this place is just okay. I would visit it again mainly for the lively ambiance!

Hmm, what to say what to say. So I’ve been here twice and would have left 5 stars after the first review, but only because our server was dumb and charged us $ 15 for an easily $ 90 bill. We didn’t complain, we paid and left. My second visit, I went for HH to be greeted by the most horrible service. I walked in at 6pm to wait for a friend and I’m assuming the hostess? Or just some random girl holding menus kind of just stopped and looked at me. We did an awkward eye-dance before I said«Ok, I’ll just go sit at the bar.» And so I did. Sat down & wasn’t approached by any of the three bartenders — one was clearly in training. Eventually I asked for a menu, and it was handed to me. After several minutes of watching them walk past me I stopped a man and asked if I could order from someone so he took my order. 30 minutes had passed and my friend showed up so at this point I stopped paying attention to the shxtty service until the end of my meal. We weren’t made aware that not all appetizers were included in the HH pricing and the bartender had the worst attitude when we brought this to his attention. If he just said sorry, my friend probably wouldn’t have flown off the handle(or maybe she would have, who knows) but we ended up getting the other two items for half off also. I will say the drinks were very good, I had a lychee martini. The wings & sweet potato fries were decent. I’m sure I need not say that service was just terrible.

I came in during lunch time because they were advertising a lunch special of a soup/salad and an entrée. I’ve also glanced over their rating which seemed promising. Upon sitting, I found out that it’s a very selected menu in terms of entrees, primarily sandwiches and burgers, not what I wanted. No big deal, I opted for the chicken poppers. They were hard as a rock and assuredly not made the day of. I ate a few pieces before I decided not to force myself to eat something that l did not enjoy. The bartender asked«did something happen» when she cleared my plate, realizing how much I didn’t touch. I told her they were extremely hard and over cooked. She smiled, cleared my dish, and gave me the check as requested. Nothing was done about the app, not even an offer for the happy hour price which I thought it was going into it. It’s possible I picked the wrong dish, but it was bad. The service? Mediocre at best. I wish I would have went to Chipotle as I intended. Peter, this review was written soon after. Monday afternoon.

This was the first restaurant I went to for brunch when I first moved to the neighborhood. I was drawn in by the flashy exterior and all the space inside. I was even more pleased to know that our brunch came with a mimosa. My experience with the food was just meh. I did not like the food. It seems like it’s more of a party space as opposed to being focused on its food offerings. There was even a group having a baby shower celebration when I was there which was nice to watch. If you want good food and cocktails, pass up this place and go to Station House.

Came here with a friend sometime last year and just realized I never left a review. This place gets really busy around happy hour. Their drink specials are awesome. I enjoyed a chicken quesadilla and some sweet potato fries. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant and very inviting. I will most definitely come back to this place again. It used to be another restaurant a few years ago. I’m glad to see that even tho everything has changed, the service and professionalism has stayed the same. Oh… It’s Austin St… So be prepared to have a hard time finding a place to park your car if you’re driving. The later you go in the evening, the better your chances are.

I was here once. That visit was good enough to not want to return. Drinks sucked. I mean it’s really not difficult to get your mixology right if you measure the ingredients. No shame in that game. We also order some apps and they we not memorable. The crowd was weird. It’s a pretty large place so if the ambiance and drinks were better I think we could definitely make this a go to spot.

Mediocre food, OK service, average prices(although you expect slightly better quality for what you ARE paying for). It’s disappointing because the menu descriptions and Unilocal pictures look amazing — and I kind of want to go back and give it a second change and try other things(maybe it was an off day when I went), but then I think about what I ate last time… and then I kind of don’t want to go back anymore. Brunch food/service: friendly waiter. Brought us a cute basket of small corn muffins. Really a nice touch and something different than regular rolls. Chicken and waffles — A thin, floppy waffle. Not the thick, golden brown, I envisioned, with a crisp sturdiness from being cooked fresh. Wonder if they were pre-cooked and then nuked in the microwave or half-heartedly heated up in the oven. When you cut into a good waffle, there should be an audible crunching sound. Chicken drums? HAHA, pathetic excuse for chicken. Would be nice if they gave you something more substantial, like one hearty drum and a wing, not three tiny pieces of some frozen shit they fried up. Had no batter or flavor on them. Just greasy and tiny. Some slices of fruit to fancy it up, but not impressed.

We had the chicken parm, the Chimichurri Handwich, and the fish handwish. The were all great. The food is seasoned just right. The service was also great. Check this place out for sure.

I definitely had a good experience here! I went here for brunch with family and they also loved it too. They have a preset brunch deal of $ 14.95 with a drink! I had the chicken and waffle with a mimosa. The food was definitely really good. The place itself is a very standard environment. It also has a full bar that is definitely for the late nights. I will definitely come back to check out their dinner sometimes!

One of the upscale places to have brunch in Forest Hills/Austin street. We took advantage of the pre fixed brunch deal of $ 14.95 which included a drink of your choice. I had their BBQ Chicken Jalapeño Melt Sandwich with fries and a mimosas. Mouth watering and the serving size was pretty big. I had to take ½ of my sandwich home. If you check into Unilocal, take advantage of one of their free shots. The staff was very nice and the wait was reasonable.

My friend and I came here for an early brunch on Saturday and it was great. We were immediately seated in a cozy area for two and ordered right away. I had an orange juice and a bacon, egg, cheese handwich with fries. My friend’s sweet potato fries were delicious. I liked that the fries were crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. The bacon egg and cheese was spot on. Plenty of bacon which is all you need for brunch! The orange juice was a bit disappointing because you could tell it was very watered down and had a slight taste of vodka in it. Other than that, they have plenty of brunch options from eggs to sandwiches which they call handwiches.

One of my favorite spots in Forest Hills. Get the following: — Hangover burger(during brunch $ 14.95 includes a drink of your choice) — their Guac or Cheddar Cheese Sticks(appetizers) — Chimi Churri Handwich(I always order a side of chimi churri sauce for dipping) — Spa Martini An unique spot in the neighborhood where you wont get to see the regular things in the menu such as mozzarella sticks but instead you get the cheddar cheese sticks, many options of different beers from around the world. Great happy hour: half off apps and martinis.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Exo! I don’t know how the hell that happened. Well here you go my fellow little Unilocalers. Exo is my local must stop and eat at spot in Forest Hills located right on busy Austin street. This two story restaurant is never a disappointment. Ladies and gentlemen if you’re passing by Lucille Roberts and your tummy is starting to rumble«feed me already». Don’t worry you’re only a few feet from Exo just step on inside and the hostess will attend to you. If you’re dining alone don’t worry have a seat at the bar and have a chat with there friendly bartenders and learn about one of there fancy Exo specialty drinks. If it’s a date night with your better half or your BFF don’t forget to check in here and redeem your offer for a free glass of wine with any entrée.(I always do! Love that about Exo, I’m a bit of a wine lover anyway. Thanx Exo!) Now on to the food: I can sum it up in one word-«Amazing» Service: Keep it up Exo, you guys are Rockstars Last but not least ALWAYS leave room for dessert, there dessert is to die for. Every time I have there dessert it’s like I’ve died and gone to heaven. Must try Brownie Sundae with a nice glass of wine.

Great place to get upscale diner/pub food. One meaty Saturday night in Queens we ended up ordering dinner from here to fulfill some red meat cravings. We got the black Angus beef burger with bacon and sweet potato fries, the chimchurri«handwich» with onion rings, and spinach artichoke dip. Seamless said our order would take 30 – 45 minutes but it came in an hour. A little late but the food was good so it made up for rumbling stomachs. However, because this was delivery, the spinach artichoke dip was merely lukewarm by the time we were able to dunk chips into it. The meat both in the sandwich and on the burger were better quality, the sides of onion rings and sweet potato fries were tasty and plentiful, all food came with cole slaw(which was actually a little spicy!), and the best part was the sauce that came with the chimchurri handwich… I put that s**t on EVERYTHING.
