Yes you have to wait 2 to 3 hours! You guys do not realize he is glaucoma specialist and a nuro ophthalmologist. He comes highly recommend by a lot doctors. The man knows what he’s doing, A lot of people panic and they start asking questions when the doctors trying to save your vision The key here is being a patient person it took time for me to get used to him but he’s a really good guy and now it’s a comfort level. The Men’s really is passionate about what he does! They’re understaffed so there is a lot of stress on the front desk and his medical assistance are very nice. Other thing I wanted to note is that he’s very Technology savvy, you can read much of your reports online from your visit and all his machines are up to date with ophthalmology The best way to avoid the traffic in his office, call the office ask if they are behind schedule. If he’s not able to see you then his wife does see you instead and she also communicates with the doctor just to make sure that everything is A-OK. Pretty much a team effort!

Every visit is a different experience. This review is based on Dr. Robert Rothstein, NOT directed to his office. Dr. Robert Rothstein, my Ophthalmologist, is a very knowledgeable, qualified medical professional who cares for his patients’ eye health. He monitors my eye nerves and enable me visual contact to see the world. All exams: Threshold Visual Fields; GDX — Nerve Fiber Analysis; OCT; and Dilated Fundus Exam are performed in his office. After interpreting all exam reports he diagnosis properly and see all the definitive underwriting details. As a patient I am in good hands under his medical care for my eyes. Caring for your eyes is vital for good health. Yes, my wait is 4.5 hours long as Dr. Robert Rothstein is a Neuro-Ophthalmologist, an eye specialist and performs surgery. After each exam you wait for the result before moving forward with the next exam and finally seeing him to interpret the results. Effective January 2014, new address in a nicer and bigger office space.

My son has been seeing Dr. Rothstein for 6 months now. We couldn’t be more pleased with the care. Dr. Rothstein takes his time and makes sure every detail is checked. He’s a perfectionist and you want that in a doctor. While it’s a long wait time, I highly recommend this doctor as he’s a specialist who very much cares about each patient and makes sure the correct thing is done. His staff is wonderful to us as well. A+

Dr. Rothstein is an Neuro-ophthalmologist, a specialist and does perform surgery. Therefore expect specialist waiting time to see him(eg 3 hours is common & they tell you this when you call). Ive been a patient of his for 2 years now and thought I’d address some of the things said in the reviews. Any review prior to March 2014 is talking about his old office space. The new space is much nicer! Dr. Rothstein does take some getting used to. He’s quirky but very nice. During my first visit I wasn’t sure but he did come highly recommended by another specialist. Also my Optometrist(the doctor where I get my glasses/contacts from) highly recommended him. He’s not a warm and fuzzy doctor but he does insist on having each test run and even does eye dilation(and you’re always dilated) & pressure tests himself. He also really did go out of his way, several times during my diagnosis he went beyond what I’d expect, including calling me at night after hours with test results I was worried about rather than make me wait until an appointment a month later or giving me a stock — if you don’t hear it’s good news. He also doesn’t give an answer unless he’s confident in what he’s saying. That took a bit to get used to but in the end I appreciated it. He really spent time trying to diagnosis me correctly than just assuming. As funny as this sounds, he actually sits down and speaks with you. I’ve never felt rushed to get out or not had time to get all my questions asked. He is a surgeon so expect appointments to be periodically rescheduled if there’s an emergency. I’ve had many appointments with him and never once have I seen any doctor other than him. I’m not exactly sure what the situation was with one reviewer who said he never saw Dr Rothstein. Maybe he wasn’t a referral needing an Neuro-ophthalmologist? Dr. Rothstein specializes in the nerves rather than the retina. Dr. Rothstein’s wife is also in practice at this location but I’ve never met her. She’s also an eye doctor but I’m not sure which type. I took a star off because you wait an hour before you even get started on the tests. I’m not sure why?

I called Dr. Rothstein’s office recently when I experienced pain in my eye and knew I had to see a doctor. The office is a few blocks from my home and that’s what lead me to call since I had no prior knowledge of the practice. The woman answering my call informed me that they were pretty booked but squeezed me in since it was an emergency. I saw both Dr. Staiman who triaged me and got an initial impression of the problem, and then doctor Rothstein who did a through exam as well. Both doctors were very professional, caring and thorough. They explained that I had a minor corneal abrasion that needed to be treated and followed. They discussed their ideas about the diagnosis and problem with me, took a great deal of time making sure all else was ok with my eye, prescribed medicine and gave me a sample to use right away. They made me a follow up visit for the next day, when the office was normally closed, explaining that they wanted to make sure that the meds they gave me were addressing the problem immediately. I found both doctors very professional and truly interested in making sure I got the care I needed. I will definitely return and would recommend this practice.
