Although this restaurant is a stretch from the busy streets of Austin Street, I would not underestimate their brunch menu and take a quick drive here. I had my rehearsal dinner here and was happy with their food. Their service was impeccable and we had a nice side room for my guests. When I booked the same room for a reunion brunch they were just as gracious and helpful even with two babies in our group. I ordered the vegetarian omelette and my husband ordered the skirt steak and eggs. The portions were generous and delicious. My omelette was made with fresh ingredients and the salad was dressed nicely. Even the potatoes were cooked well. Our meal came with a complimentary mimosa. We ended up ordering the dessert and ordered one of every item to share. I recommend the passion fruit sorbet, the tirimasu, and hazelnut chocolate cake with ice cream.

Right in my neighborhood. Amazing food. Literally everything from the appetizers. Entrees. And desserts all amazing. Can’t find a single complaint. My waiter was very attentive and very helpful. Would definitely come back again and again!

Delicious food and great ambience, went there for a family dinner and had a great time. The chicken alfredo pasta was so good!

If you love authentic Italian(and not that watered down«Italian-American») food. Then this is the only place in Forest Hills to find it. Bring your appetite.

Food was good. It was somewhat pricey for Queens. I recommend the baked eggplant. Will go back.

Tuscan Hills is a little Italian restaurant around the Forrest Hills area that offers Italian cuisine for a moderate price. The restaurant has a nice feeling about it as you walk in, you’re greeted with dim lighting and a nice décor. The food was pretty good but nothing outstanding. We had a lot of different foods and shared with each other. But again… nothing blew my mind away. So with that, it’s a neighborhood Italian restaurant that you can go for a weekday date.

I was looking for a local restaurant to have a nice New Years dinner with my husband. I must say that Tuscan Hills did not disappoint! I was so impressed. Let me break my review down: Location: In a main area of Forest Hills. Parking can be tricky at times but when isn’t it when you’re in New York? Just gotta be a little patient. Staff: Our server was just delightful. He was an older man(don’t remember his name), and he did an exceptional job at making us feel comfortable and happy. He was speedy and helpful with all of our needs. Food: Everything we ordered was divine. My husband ordered beef lasagna. I ordered sirloin steak over arugula salad. His lasagna was a nice large portion and made so true to its Italian tradition. Indulgent and perfectly balanced on pasta, meat, and cheese. My sirloin was cooked at a perfect medium rare as I requested. It was topped with tender mushrooms. Underneath was a bed of arugula coated with a light dressing and a sprinkle of parmesan. I mean, the combination of everything was just perfection! The wines are not too outdated. We ordered merlot and chardonnay and we had zero complaints. We ended our night was with a lemon sorbet that sat inside of a fresh lemon. Light, fluffy, and smooth with just the right amount of tang. Ambience: This is a small restaurant, so there are a lot of tables close to one another. You can hear the conversations of those near to you. But! It’s a quiet and cozy place anyways. It has a homey feeling to it. Very intimate. It’s dimly lit with brick walls and décor that takes you to a small spot in Italy. You don’t need to come here for a formal fancy dinner at all, as they have menu items that are simply comfort foods. Overall I had a memorable New Years dinner. In a good way. Very impressed with all aspects of the place. Go to Tuscan Hills for your next dinner date, anniversary, birthday, or a pizza night! I will return for another special occasion in the future! Thanks so much!

Great Italian restaurant int Forest Hills! They have this very distinct Tuscan Seafood stew in a baked bread like a pot-pie called a Cacciucco, and it’s great. Great calamari, great wine selection. With the remodeling and scaffolding outside, it gets a little hidden, so don’t miss it.

This place is a great date night place. Their lasagna is my favorite and pair it with a good red wine. Their servers are experienced and professional. The cost isn’t un-reasonable either. The management is welcoming and present as well. I know a place is good when the manager will greet you and give you a wave as you leave as well. It’s a great small cozy place.

Great place. There is exposed brick wall, intimate setting, very fancy and classy. They have varied pasta options, all of which are homemade I believe. I ordered the fettuccini in a pink sauce and substituted the sausage for shrimp, which as a great choice because the shrimp was light and delicious. My friend had the ricotta dumplings in pesto sauce. I was not a fan but she liked it. The entrees are between $ 15-$ 25, bit the portion sizes are decent. We came here for my birthday so we ordered the panna cotta for dessert. Perfect to share after a heavy dinner. Was a great experience, highly recommend for a celebration or a personal/intimate meal.

Good food, fast delivery and nice décor! The burrata was great but everything else is good hence 4 stars Parking is always a struggle and if you can find a spot keep the sucker! But that by no means has any baring on my review!

The food was amazing, we ordered calamari and it came with big side of sauce — which is great! Usually restaurants give a tiny bowl for a big plate of calamari… like that’s supposed to be enough. For the main course we ordered a pasta dish and a seafood dish to spit — both were prepared perfect. We still had room for desert — which is nice :) we got tiramisu and cannoli. I will be going back to try more food on the menu :)

Did my research ahead of time because some guests requested god Italian food when they came to visit. This place, as you can read, was highly recommended. The service was fantastic! The server made good wine and food recommendations. I got the boar ragu, which was delicious! My husband got a fish dish enclosed in a bread dome. The server cut open the bread dome, which was a nice presentation. One guest got a sausage dish, which was solid, and the other guest got a pasta with olives, which I felt was to salty, but she liked. Come here if you want to talk and enjoy a relaxed, delicious meal. We will definitely go back!

Pasta Primavera and baked eggplant dish with accompanying garlic and olive oil pasta were simply exquisite. Service was very well received with discrete waiters, which made it a wonderful and intimate dinner. Rustic ambiance with smooth lounge Italian music made our time there even more pleasurable. All the best Tuscan Hills, you are doing a great job!

Came here for lunch during a jury duty break. It’s a quaint place, like the yellow walls, looked warm and inviting, sturdy brown wood tables, and brick walls, but there were some things right away that turned me off a little. As soon as you walk in, there’s an odd smell, like a mix of weird tap/toilet water. I felt like I had entered the bathroom as soon as I walked in! I know that’s a weird description, but that was my first thought. Maybe a fluke, but very unpleasant. Also, the air condition was very weak. It could be that they just turned on the air as patrons started to arrive, but it felt hot. Considering how humid and hot it’s been lately, I would have been a welcome relief to feel some cold air. But instead, I continued to sweat during the meal, and it was uncomfortable and hard to enjoy the food without being distracted. it was quiet for lunch, and we were able to pick where we wanted to sit. Took some time to get the water glasses filled, and we were so thirsty and hot, we could have used something to drink ASAP. Water was chilled, but had no ice in it. Minor thing. Bread was warm, but the outside was burnt, not just a golden brown, so the crust was hard to break or chew, and it tasted bitter. Calamari — A real winner. Light, crispy, not heavy to the point where it’s falling off, or so thick that you can’t taste the squid. Perfectly balanced. Sauce was spicy, saw the chili flakes in it. My husbands pizza looked simple and mediocre — personal pan style. Kind of resembled something you might get out of a frozen meal at the market. Penne vodka was good — al dente pasta, fresh and hot, sweet, slightly tangy sauce, but not overwhelming on either point. Waiters were friendly. Overall, it was decent, but not enough to come back again, even if I were in the area.

Jumped into this place for dinner during a terrible storm. The temperature of the restaurant was perfect for those of us that were coming in soaking wet! As a woman wearing blue jean shorts and a small top, I appreciated that a lot! They served us quickly, friendly staff, very nice décor. Perfect for any type of get together. Their kitchen is located right in the center of the restaurant where you can see the chef doing his thing which is pretty awesome and unique. The food is fresh and delicious, locals must be happy they have this place close to home.

Nearly 4 years after my initial review, and my dinner at Tuscan Hills could not have been more different. While the restaurant itself retained the same rustic, antiquated charm that I remembered, the food and service far surpassed my memories. I truly believe that my previous experience versus my more recent one was just a matter of knowing what to order and what to avoid. I ordered the calamari yet again, and it remained a well executed rendition of a popular dish that. My fiancée commented on the perfectly light and almost buttery batter that was neither too heavy or too light. Calamari is a simple dish that is often done so improperly and I’m happy to say they continue to do it justice. While I ordered fish to my own regret on my prior visit, I opted to steer clear and instead opted for pasta. We ordered the fettuccine in pink sauce with spicy sausage and the rigatoni with eggplant. Both were so simple, but so delicious! They rotate their menu frequently, however these two dishes seem to be staples that are always available, and with good reason. In regards to ways up improve, sometimes it’s the little things that count. Had they brought the complimentary bread out warm as opposed to cold sould have been a nice touch. And because the tables are a bit on the small side, the waiter had to play plate/utensil Tetris whenever a dish arrived at the table. This isn’t a problem, except that he wasn’t able to do so with quick, decisive movements and instead ended up lingering laboriously while doing so which got to be a little awkward. Still, this is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area by far and I look forward to making a return visit.

Not bad! I love the rustic feel of this spot. Not too fancy, and most definitely reminded me of Tuscany in term of décor… Real winner is their signature fish stew. Although it’s called fish stew… It’s more appropriate to think of it as a seafood stew because there is plentiful samplings of all diff types: octopus, shrimp, mussels, clams, fish etc! The stew is wonderfully fragrant and the bread it’s baked in, is very soft and Lovely, like a pita bread. It’s baked in a shallow dish so there’s not a whole lot of stew but just enough to enjoy your seafood and bread. Everyone was eyeing this dish with envy! Generous portion for 1 person. Everything else is not bad… I had the rigatoni alla Nona which was perfect al Dente. Good flavor, and lovely cheesy sauce with bits of what I looked vaguely like eggplant. Yummy– I can see why it’s such a popular dish, it can appeal to everyone even young kids and vegetarians. Cesar salad was rather disappointing. And calamari actually. Not very memorable or special tasting. Service was pretty good though. Exceptionally welcoming host. Prices were also not terrible at all. Pasta dishes range from $ 15 – 19 depending on the protein. Entrees being in mid 20s range. Would return(especially for the seafood/fish stew), and would recommend!

Friendly atmosphere. Pretty romantic, dimly lit. The deal to get would be the calamari fritti for the family style menu. It is worth it to eat even with 5 – 6. Everything else was tasty as well, we ordered the pizza and other dishes as well. But the main one that stuck out to me was the calamari.
