TERRIBLE. A throwback to 40 years ago, when every resteraunt had«American» food on the menu and it was supposed to be some big treat to go there on a Saturday night. Was dragged here by a friend who lives nearby, and wouldn’t get his lazy ass in the car to go somewhere else, even though I was driving. Salad bar has the cheapest ingriedients and is very limited. I could tell after I sat down that I didn’t want to take a chance on a full dinner. Had a club sandwich or something instead, which was nothing. Atmosphere? Ever been in a funeral home? With the ancient local codgers to match. Heard a rumour they sometimes have step dancing here? One of the worst resteraunts I have ever eaten at in in the entire Chicagoland area.

This place is really hit or miss. Depending on the day it is either two stars or four stars. It’s not as expensive as most independant steak houses, and it’s not as low quality or cheap as an Outback or similar chain. Some times everything is salty… and I mean everything. Someone can have something completely different from you and you’ll both complain that your meals are salty. Usually the food is decent though, and there is a good salad bar. One thing though, the service is never that great. If you feel like steak or seafood and want to take a gamble, try it. There is also a room you can rent out. I looked into it and remember that it’s pretty inexpensive for what they give you. On the other side you can rent out a bar that has a cool atmosphere, but I remember that when i looked into that some company had it booked every saturday for three months.
