Jeff is so resourceful — now that there is no crab, he’s on to lobster rolls!

Absolutely accommodating to our party of 6 for lunch. An eclectic picky group were all saited and happy. We tried about everything from pasta to salmon and fried chicken ! Generous delicious portions served graciously by one of the owners. We arrived in 3 cars I am embarrassed to admit but had no problem with parking. Would be a regular if we lived near here.

Consistently delicious food and wonderful service. It’s a happy little garden spot that’s perfect for lunch. I’ve brought visitors here several times and they have nothing but great things to say about it. I highly recommend stopping by!

An International Success! This week, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to entertain a business associate and his family who are relocating from Japan to New York for an extended stay. We all sat down to a delicious lunch catered by our favorite local eatery, Twist. We told the proprietors, Jeff and Toni, that we didn’t want to serve Japanese food to this family, but wanted local fare with a Japanese sensibility. Jeff provided heirloom tomatoes with basil and mozzarella, sweet corn salad with brown sugar cured local chicken thighs, green beans on organic greens with champagne vinaigrette, devastatingly good mini-bomb sandwiches(The Bomb is on their current menu) and for dessert — their homemade plum jam crostata. All this deliciousness was locally sourced. The children’s mother, Junko, told us that she was concerned about their diet after a trip to Southern California and Universal Studios. She was so happy to be served a meal that was fresh, healthy, wonderfully tasty and local! «That’s Twist for you!», we said proudly. Thanks again, Jeff and Toni, for another terrific experience.

I was very disappointed when I went out to eat lunch at twist I had the veggie sandwich the veggies were overcooked bland and soggy I ordered it with a side of beets which had no flavor simply tossed with a little bit of herbs I couldn’t finish my meal and I ask for a box to go it took over 15 minutes to get my box when clearly they were less than 10 other people in the restaurant at the time I was very disappointed and would have to say I will be visiting twist again

This restaurant really disappointed me today. When we arrived there were only about 4 couples dining, but it seemed like we waited 10 minutes just to get a menu. then I asked if they accept cc and they said yes. The food was a huge disappointment and then when I tried to pay they warned me that a cc would«take a long time» because of their machine. I handed them the card and then waited 10 minutes. then they returned my card and told me that their cc machine would not work. At this point I simply should have left, but instead paid them with my minimal cash on hand. How hard is it to take credit cards — every food truck has been doing it for years. Twist is an enormous disappointment — do not eat there.

Amazing amazing amazing! Try their OMGBLT and the bomb sandwich. You can respectfully notice Jeff and tony the owners are very passionate about their business. Love this place. Head out to Forest Ville for the wine tasting and then enjoy twist eatery.

i rarely give a place 5 stars but Twist is totally worthy! conveniently located on the main drag of forestville and perfect for us riding our bicycles off the trail! as the day was kinda warm, we started with a cold glass of house made ice tea which used lovely herbs and quickly satisfied our thirst!(see pics)…toni, one of the owners told us the wonderful array of specials they were offering and my GF and i both chose The Trio… i don’t think i can describe the fabulous palate delights that played out with my selections… unfrickin’ believable chicken salad… so fresh, it’ll make you cry! such balance… and then there’s the beet salad w a light dressing… the GF kept takin’ mine… and then there was the romano beans… cooked n chilled w a ginger dressing to die for… omg if you are a foodie, you need to eat here at Twist… oh yeah, we watched another patron eat a chocolate chip cookie, homemade of course, and we satisfied our collective sweet tooth by sharing one! because we were on bicycles, i didn’t indulge in wine but i’ll be back… with my car and friends! truly a wine country fusion destination! much aloha…

We are in town for a race, but happened upon this cute spot thanks to Unilocal. We sat outdoors and an umbrella gave us shade. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was over a bed of pasta in light cream sauce. Normally I’m not a fried or cream person, but it was just the right flavors and hit the spot. My son(5) went for the smoked salmon linguini special in cream sauce. He loved it and wanted to eat here«everyday» that we’re in town. Everyone else we were with enjoyed their meals. The drink list was also good. Local wines, sodas, pellegrino and even ginger beer. Finally, the service was excellent. The owners even came out and wished us luck. Adorable with great food and service.

YUM. This little restaurant provides big flavor fueled by a big heart at the helm(well, actually two big hearts). The food is excellent… rich, homemade, sustaining, fresh and thoughtfully prepared and plated… the menu always offers tasty salads and amply portioned sandwiches and recently, Twist has been adding delicious main-type meals … this is not your whiz in and grab an $ 8 sandwich deli. It’s food cooked to order and most of the menu starts around $ 14…it is a personal endeavor providing goodness to the community and i bestow 5 twinkling stars! Easily recommend.

This is our new favorite place to eat in the area. The food was phenomenal. We had lunch on the charming patio and enjoyed the Chicken Fried Chicken pasta and the BBQ pork sandwich with green salad. The Pt Reyes Blue Cheese dressing was finger lickin’ good. The lemon tart and chocolate chip cookie were tasty conclusion to our meal. Great service. Can’t wait to come back!

Love this place. The couple that own and run the eatery are lovely. The food is always wonderful, the service spectacular and the inside and outside seating is intimate and friendly. The place is small, but that adds to it’s charm. There is a regular menu but the specials are often the best. The food is made to order and worth the wait. The chef there uses fresh and local ingredients and has a good understanding of creating magic. My favorite is the chicken fried chicken served over penne pasta in cream sauce with chard. An unusual pairing but works.

3÷20÷15: Changing my 4-star review to 5. This place deserves at LEAST6! Excellent food, wonderful, friendly service, very cute location. I’ve had several things on the menu now since my last review and the only thing not-so-positive I will say is that I’ve found the soups to be a little on the bland side, and I’m not too terribly crazy about the salads they offer, but E V E R Y T H I N G E L S E is absolutely delicious. Like, top notch delicious. From the Bomb to any pasta special… you really can’t go wrong. I branched out today and ordered the chicken fried chicken and it did not disappoint. Served over a bed of chard and penne pasta in a rich and creamy garlic sauce, the boneless thigh was big enough to cut in half and save for another meal, or to share with another person. The breading was crispy and flavorful, and the pasta cooked perfectly. It’s fun to watch the chef Jeff in action as he masters the preparation of several dishes at a time. Everything is made to order here, and it is delivered to your table piping hot. On a beautiful day, you can dine outside in their little covered patio. A nice little touch is the always-fresh flowers on every table. Give this little gem of a place a try and see for yourself.

We came here for lunch just to try the meatloaf sandwich. I’ve heard the sandwich was«The Bomb» which is what it’s actually called. It’s as advertised! It was deeeeee-Lish! It’s a bit pricey at $ 15.00, but it’s well worth every dollar and it’s filling. I’m coming here again. Oh yeah, the lady who served us was very sweet.

Nice little place you wouldn’t necessarily look twice at as you drove by, but boy would you be making a mistake if you did… The food was phenomenal and the people very friendly. Perfect place to grab lunch when you’re up wine tasting.

So delicious! the food is so fresh and tasty. I usually always order the pulled pork sandwich if they have it, and if not that then the veggie sandwich which is amazing(for my daughter since she’s vegetarian). I love their salads as well! The outside eating area is also really charming! Try this place out you wont be dissapointed!!!

Twist is a super casual little lunch spot but they have really nailed a few special items on their menu. They pulled pork sandwich is outstanding. I also love their chicken curry sandwich. And they usually have a special that is delicious. Enjoy!

Tried this for lunch. I had the pork tangine special with apricots and cherries on couscous. Paired that with the new Yin Yang wine they have on the menu — half Chardonnay half Viognier — very tasty. They have done a nice job upgrading the seating and adding flowers all around. The former place was more basic food and lower prices so that prejudiced me against the higher prices, but the preparation and ingredients are higher quality. But the medium sized plate, while well cooked and seasoned, with 4 half brussel sprouts was $ 13 while the small pour of wine was $ 7.75 — ouch! If you are a local like me looking for a good lunch, this is a little more upscale than a place I would frequent on a regular basis. If you are visiting the wine country and looking for a great lunch place, this is perfect.

They have really good food! Really nice people who own it. I always get a veggie sandwich and it is amazing! The side salad you get with it is really good and fresh too. My go to place when I need a fresh and delicious lunch.
