Came to stay at River Bend Resort(great place!) with some friends and decided to go check this place out since it was right there. Looked cool, but walked in thru the door and instantly the bar tender was completely sarcastic and quite rude. We arrived at 10:48PM and the place was suppose to be closing at midnight. We were just looking to have one last drink but was only met with some bitchy bartender saying, and I quote you, «duh, we are closed, didn’t you see the lights are out.» Umm, they weren’t…Lame.

We stopped by Russian River Pub after it was recommended to us by a friend. He claimed they were some of the best chicken wings he has ever had. So without ado we made our way over and were pleasantly surprised to find that it had been on Guy’s Triple D. We had the double order of chicken wings as well as some waffle fries. It did not disappoint. We also had the pleasure of trying their Cider Float which was the best decision we made that day!

NEWSIDEGRASSYAREA/BAR ISOPEN!!! I rarely write reviews but I want to help this place so they can afford to hire the proper amount of staff. I’ve been eating at the pub during the summer for 25 years. The food(especially hot wings, burgers, and the prime rib sandwich) is excellent. Unfortunately most of the reviews that complain about slow and inconsistent service are true. When the place is packed(warm weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day) they get slammed, the kitchen backs up, and service is spotty. HOWEVER, if you are not in a rush and can spend 45 minutes enjoying a pitcher of beer or their excellent margaritas, you won’t be disappointed. Better year, the side yard is now OPEN with great outdoor bar, BBQ, picnic tables, and a large sodded grassy area for kids. There’s also two horseshoe pits. Wendy the owner is always friendly and never flustered. People who complain about the wings being dry in my opinion are used to overly greasy, heavily coated wings common at Hooters, etc. If you prefer your wings«wet» then ask for extra sauce. They have the best blue cheese dressing. Skip the ranch! As always a great selection of popular and local brews. The offerings are considerably better than their competition, Stumptown Brewery a few more miles down River Road.

Been here a few times before, but this time will be my last time. The chicken wings were so dry, we didn’t even finish eating them.

Love this place! Good food with big portions, full bar, big screen tv, pool table… nice employees. The tri-tip sandwich was to die for even though I could only eat half. My friend had the buffalo chicken sandwich and mentioned it was a bit too salty however.

I have lived right down the street from«The Pub» for 10 years, so it’s in my neighborhood. Wendy, the owner, is as nice as they get. Throughout the years, «The Pub» has maintained fair prices, really great food, cold beer, and a place we happily call a part of our neighborhood.

I stopped off to watch the river since it won’t be this full again for a long time. I have driven past this restaurant for years. The pub is a small place. It is an old pan abode. I was instantly comfortable and the waitress was so friendly she introduced herself and shook my hand. I had heard their wings were great but they had coconut shrimp on the menu so the wings had to be a to go order. They were delicious later at home. The shrimp was yummy! I asked and most everything there is made from scratch. There is a full bar plus beer and cider on tap. I didn’t drink much of my cider. It turned out to have pear in it and the flavor was off for me. I took pictures of the menu so I could talk my family into the Sunday Brunch.

I love this bar. It’s got character and the food is FIVESTARS. At first glance, it looks pricey but the food is worth it. And, they’ve usually got a Russian River Brewery beer on tap. I highly recommend the Pub Burger(even with the veggie patty is amazing!). Don’t be scared off by the dark interior or the colorful locals. This is a great place. Authentically, river.

My wife and I had dinner here on a Saturday night in February and it was absolutely fantastic! The two ladies the working the tables were fabulous and very friendly, and welcoming, despite the fact that we were out-of-owners. The neighboring town Guerneville, where we were staying the night, has a downtown that’s recently become more and more full of little fancy restaurants, none of which looked good to us that night. Just outside of town, past the Korbel winery, was the Russian River Pub and I’m pretty sure we were just about the only folks there that were’t locals, and it was perfect. The food was terrific, I had the steak sandwich and my wife had what she said was a super delicious burger, and we split an order of coconut shrimp. Also delicious. The place was featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, so it’s hardly a secret but it sure felt like we stumbled on a hidden gem of a place, which we will go back to for sure. A word or two of advice: Get there early! There’s only about six tables inside and we were lucky enough to grab the last open one when we arrived a little after six. There’s outdoor seating too, but as it was February, inside was the only way to go. Also, despite being open until 2am some nights, it looks like the kitchen closes much, much earlier than that. Also.Don’t go here expecting it to be anything other than a little roadside pub, built to hold a small number of locals, with a few tables, a little bar, a jukebox, and a single pool table, with uncommonly good pub cuisine, and a dynamite staff. It’s not really made for tourists… and that’s why it’s perfect.

I wanted to check this place out before leaving town, so I stopped in on a Sunday. I had seen it on diners, drive ins and dives. I have to say it is kind of a dive and way overpriced. There were 3 of us for lunch and we had to wait for a table as there are so few inside. As it was winter and raining we could not eat outside. The noise level with the bar, TV and patrons is pretty loud. The waitress got our drinks and we ordered food. The food we had was a burger, the crab cake sandwich and the stuffed bread sticks. The burger and bread sticks were good, but the sandwich was kind of cold due to the slaw on it. It was also very messy to eat as it did not hold together well. I ordered a small side of the slaw as it seemed to be good but did not look at the price. A small side of it is $ 5.00. Seriously ridiculous pricing at this place. It is also $ 5.00 for a cup of soup. Yes, I said a cup. There is a pool table in the dining area and you have to watch out to not be hit with the cue when someone is playing. That is really annoying. Also, people kept reaching over our table to turn up the TV behind us. The second time it was a guy in a tank top. Really gross. I have to say that they need to figure out the pricing and the dining room in the winter.

Blech! Soggy fries, dirty atmosphere. No need to stop here. Either go into Forestville, or go into Guerneville and eat anywhere else.

Went here last night, let’s see, so that makes it the 3rd time within less than a couple months. I always seem to enjoy the pesto chicken sandwich and salad, although I’ve had bites of the tri tip sandwich & chili cheese burger and those were good as well. Waitresses are very friendly & inviting and sometimes even the cooks will bring the food out when it’s packed(usually it is) only downfall is that I wish it was a bigger place cause during the fall it’s too cold to sit outside

I’ve been here a couple handful of times in the last 13 years I’ve lived in Sonoma County. All experiences have been pretty good, but not so remarkable that I felt the urge to go back more regularly. My husband and I met here for lunch recently and both of us were VERY pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of our meal selections. About the pub: There are more dining tables than bar space, and a couple of TVs on the walls. There’s 1(maybe 2?) pool table, and outdoor seating. The owners have allowed patrons to carve messages in the walls, which makes for a fun pastime to read all the various quotes and dedications. I ordered the BLT w/fries and a side cup of chili. I am ALWAYS hankering for chili cheese fries, hence the side order. The BLT was served with fresh lettuce and really fresh delicious tomatoes(no greenish, stem-end tomatoes here). There was too much bacon(yep. I said it.), so I shared that w/my husband who added it to his chicken pesto sandwich. The chili was really yummy… typical pub ground beef-type chili, but a bit more special than the usual. There was a nice heat kick to it, and plenty of good flavor. The fries were complimented greatly by this chili! My husband ordered the chicken pesto ciabatta and raved about how moist the chicken was. After adding the bacon I gave him, he said it was like the icing on the cake. The iced tea is fresh-brewed and GOOD. There are few lunch places in the Forestville area that are good and not over-the-top expensive, and this is definitely one of them. We’ll be back without hesitation next time. In fact, I think I’ll book that date now!

Delicious! We stopped in here after a long day of playing on the river. We went with the recommended tri-tip sandwich(very horseradishy and blue cheesy, YUM) and the(homemade) pesto chicken on ciabatta(DROOL). It was so good that we came back for breakfast — crab cake eggs Benedict(another winner). This will be a regular stop for us when we return to the Guerneville area. Friendly servers, great pours, orgasmic food.

I am not ashamed to say that I’m a huge«Diners, Drive-ins and Dives» fan. So when we discovered this restaurant was on the first episode of the show, I knew I had to go. This place is definitely a dive — a pool table, a few bar stools, lots of sharpie writing on their walls, and picnic tables outside. It’s a great no-fuss place. We ordered the buffalo wings to start, the two-trip sandwich, and the pub house burger. When I say we definitely had one of the seven deadly sins(gluttony, of course!), I mean it. The food was greasy, juicy, flavorful, and just plain delicious. We basically stuffed our faces until our stomachs could take no more. If you want a unpretentious, easy-going casual joint, this is your place.

Place is awesome. Great drive out here very scenic. Went hiking in Armstrong woods and found this on the way home. DOGFRIENDLY!!! That’s always a plus for us. Isn’t the most fancy joint but it’s clean and well maintained for a bar. Pool table inside gunna try their famous wings. I’ll let you know how they are. Update. Wings were great. I got the spicy buffalo. Not the best I’ve ever had but I was very pleased and would order them again. We got 4 pints and an order of 10 wings for a bill of 30. The server was really nice as well.

I love this little dive bar! The food is delicious and you get to stare at hippies. what more can you ask for? The Prime Rib sandwich, burgers and onion rings were all very good. One of the girls in the group got dessert(can’t recall which one, I think pineapple upsidedown cake?) but she said it was excellent. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Well here goes… a group of us stopped on a Friday at Noon for wings, we had heard they were good and we all love good wings So…7 of us, all ordered baskets of 10. Not one person finished them… and that has never happened with us before. We didn’t finish because there was too many, or they filled us up… we didn’t finish because quite frankly, they were dry, tasted like they had already been cooked and then re-heated with the sauce Service was good, it was nice sitting out on the patio… and the onion rings were killer i would stop again for a beer and rings… but man, the wings just didn’t cut it Maybe they were having a bad day, I don’t know…

What makes this place is the people! Wendy is the owner and often the entire front of house staff. She serves, busses, bartends and it’s rare when she misses any thing! Service: Excellent Food: great Beer and Wine Selection: good Coctails: good So you walk in and it’s a pretty standard bar slightly on the divey side. Then you glance over the menu and find not just the standard pub food, but ALL of the standard pub food. I wanted to order the entire menu! They’ve got buffalo wings, jalapeño poppers, great burgers, various types of fries and so much more! Next the service was excellent, the Juke Box is free, and the Pool Table is $ 0.50! This is a great place and I will be back soon!
