Awesome Breakfast! I definitely recommend this place who loves down home Southern cooking

The 1,000 Island dressing on the sale was watery. Chicken fried steak was decent. Much smaller than the menu photo, but at least it we actual steak and not frozen meat paddies like a lot of restaurants. Green beans were good, but that’s not hard to mess up, really. The mashed potatoes were bad. Liquidy and flavorless. No amount of salt and pepper would help. Dinner rolls and cornbread were good. Warm. The boy got hot wings and, to be honest, they live up to the name, apparently. Served only with celery. But, he’s dogging them and he’s a wing connoisseur. Service was great. Never needed to ask for a refill or extra napkins. She was on it!

I’ve been here four times with my family. Sometimes the service is prompt and courteous, and sometimes it’s a apathetic. The food is alright, but not outstanding. The worst thing about this place is the atmosphere. If you like eating in an environment that’s like an echoey garage or a bathroom, this is the place for you. Hard tile floors and bare walls make it a very difficult environment to enjoy a conversation because you hear the echoes of conversations 50 feet away as if they were right next to you. Absolutely no effort has been spent trying to make this an enjoyable eating experience or environment. That’s really too bad because Forney is permeated with fast food joints, and a NICE home cooking restaurant is sorely needed here.

We love Alfredo’s — or as we call it, «the blue place.» I love breakfast, lunch and dinner here! The coffee is great, the pancakes are better then IHOP’s and they always have fresh fruit and make things the way you want it. They have a great variety of veggies for any entrée and their hot sauce is super yummy too!

I can’t relate to any of the negative reviews on this page as everytime me and my family have eaten here has been amazing. The food is always fresh and clean tasting. As I’m writing this review my family and I are enjoying yet another great experience here. The breakfast, which can be ordered all day is the best in town and the dinner is equally amazing. Service is very good as well. Forney is lucky to have a great restaurant like Alfredos. We will continue dining here even if we leave Forney in the future. By the way, me and my wife are big time foodies and know what good food and service is like and this is it.

Was less impressed this time. I ordered the omelet again because it was good last time. I asked for mushrooms, peppers and spinach. There was 1 piece of mushroom, a few tiny pieces of pepper and maybe a few pieces of spinach. I had to dig to find the ingredients. It was just lots of bland egg.

I have been to Alfredo’s for breakfast a few times. Our food was pretty good and it came fast. They don’t know what white American cheese is – they give you pepper jack instead. But the staff was attentive and it’s a good value for what you get. We will very likely return for breakfast. The lunch and dinner menu didn’t look appealing to us so I doubt we’ll be back other than breakfast on the weekend.

In my last review, I wrote this«Owner please address this or when Forney grows more, it will leave you behind», I really didn’t think it would be so soon… We first went to Alfredo’s for the 1st time about 1 ½ months ago and it was really decent as my first review states. I am not sure what happened but this visit was a disaster. I am not sure if we will go back here for a very long time… Entrees: I got the chicken fried chicken which was wrong on the first try since I asked for gravy on the side. So I got mine a little later than the other people in my party. Hey, mistakes happen I understand but what they brought me out to eat was plain bad. The chicken was overcooked and very dry. They hadn’t clean off the breast so I had a piece of hard fat on one end of my breast. The mashed potatos tasted like instant ones. I also had to wait for the bread since it wasn’t cooked and I got this halfway through my meal. My son also got the chicken fried chicken and his sentiments mirrored mine after we ate the meal. My wife got the french toast and it was not as good as last time for her. However, I will say that the waitress we had was very nice and attentive. That was the only positive we could say about this visit.

Great food, great service. Reasonably priced I had the super omelet with bacon, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms and hash browns — it was perfect! I also tasted some of the biscuits and gravy my wife ordered which was great too Definitely coming back if I’m in the area

I have only had breakfast and lunch at this place dozens of times. Nice place, good food, not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination. Inside always appears a little run down and unfinished. Not the cleanest place I have ever been at. Kitchen is in the middle of the diner and looks clean where it counts. Good for breakfast and lunch. I can not speak for their dinner. Plenty of staff and room for larger parties if needed. Parking lot entrance needs to be fixed as there is a big drop from off of the main roadway. All in all I would and do go back for the food and prices are worth it.

Waitresses greeted us at door. Sat and took drink orders. Our food came in about 10 minutes. All correct. I was happily surprised the blueberry pancakes had very large fresh berries. Eggs cooked perfect. Nice and clean. Overall a nice little country breakfast place.

All I can say is «wow», and that is not a good one. There is one star on here only because it would not allow zero stars. We moved here about four months ago and have been looking for good casual and locally owned restaurants to support. Some places play hard to get, Alfredo’s plays hard to want. We finally noticed this place a while ago and they always seem to have cars in the lot. We finally got an opportunity to stop in last week for a late lunch(130 pm) and were surprised to say the least. Well, I guess I should have not been. It seems that a lot of people want to run a restaurant or culinary charity as they are becoming known in Forney, but do not have the smarts or talent or both to pull it off. Somehow since 1987(according to the menu), they have managed to have enough 10 watt bulbs coming in the door and putting up with less than minimal service to pay the bills. I will cut to the chase here, because unlike the poor folks at Alfredo’s, I will give you something worthwhile at the end of 9 minutes of no service, no recognition, no clue. We got a bad vibe when we came in and it took 5 minutes to get seated in an empty restaurant. Clue 2 — every and I mean every table was dirty. Again, in an empty restaurant. Last was after getting to pick our own table and asking to get it cleaned, we received our drinks. That was the last thing we let them try to do for us. We were ready to order and the waitress decided it was more important to clear another table on the other end of the restaurant. She seemed as genuinely stunned that we were leaving, as much as we were that this place has been in business for this long(allegedly).

I would say the food here is below-average. Nothing is ever season properly if at all. The operative word for everything here is blah blah blah. The breakfast is pretty good, but it’s pretty hard to screwup your run-of-the-mill breakfast. You basically go here because of nowhere else is down to have a normal breakfast.

In my opinion, this is the best place for fresh food and friendly service in town. I’m not a fan of chopped and formed chicken and beef from chain restaurants. Alfredo’s serves a great breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can even have a drink there. This is my GO-TO.

Great food in a very busy hometown restaurant. Food quality and prices were very good. The waitstaff really earn their tips here. Be prepared for every table full during breakfast, weekends, and holidays.

Terrible service! Food is mediocre at best. Ordered French Toast combo, eggs and French toast were burnt. Staff is rude and service is non existent.

This is a great place to eat. Hubby got the banana nut pancakes and sausage. It was absolutely delicious! I had a bite for my dessert. I got the chicken fried chicken lunch special. It came with 2 vegetables and soup or salad. We both loved what we ordered. Our server was also very good and attended to our every need. 1st time there and we will return many times. Also a plus that they serve breakfast all day.
