Only gave one star because there is not a zero. Beware of overpriced work and questionable ethics. I had Willard air conditioning and heating out to my house on 5−15÷15 because my air conditioning unit worked outside, but inside the air handler would not push air inside. Paid for service call. Was told that the modulating motor was not running and was bad. Was told that the part could be costly, because we had a energy saving variable unit and they require programming. Tried to get worst case scenario, but all I could get was probably the repair would be around 1000.00 if warranty was no longer in place. Received a call the next day quoting me 1560.00 for the repair. I was shocked … Thought it was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I was told that the part was around 1000 by itself and that’s why it was so expensive for the repair. I was told also, that I would not receive credit for the service call from the day before because it was considered a diagnosis instead of a service call because it was more advanced. Sure didn’t seem advanced to me … Took maybe 25 minutes of his time … Including the talk we had. Should have hi-tailed it to another service provider then. After several conversations with Willards on the phone … I choose the option they offered me of a new inside air handler for 2100 dollars … I guess for the so called piece of mind I supposedly would have choosing that option. So I was told .!It came with a 1 year labor and 10 year parts guarantee. At least I hope it does. I have no paperwork saying that. I was told the 1560 dollar repair of the the old unit only came with a 30 day labor and 1 year parts warranty .I also was told before I called my husband, who was scheduled all day long … to work… That It was a Trane unit. I was told it would be a Trane unit. He’s wanted a Trane unit for a while. So it made him feel a little better. They installed the unit that day leaving my front door open wide all day for Mosquitos, flies, and biting midgets to make themselves at home in every part of the house. We are still trying to get rid of the bugs in the house. I was eaten alive in my own house for days. Tried to tell them bugs were getting in house, and tried to shut the door, but debris was keeping it from shutting. I also received a Lennox unit, not a Trane unit. That’s what my outside old Unit I still have is. Guess it’s going to be a good unit, because I have had good luck with the outside unit. I was aware that this would not be a variable unit anymore also. They could have at least covered up the insulation that was hanging out the front of the unit with the metal part that came with it instead of leaving the unsightly insulation hanging out of the new unit, but too much effort would have to have gone into that. The guys that installed the unit were very friendly and i have no complaints about their demeanor. It’s the company itself. I’m pretty sure the owner. I have since done my homework and do realize now Mr. Willard that that price was ridiculous and probably was just a scam to sell the 2100 dollar job to me. I know exactly how much the part was and I would say 1000.00 in labor is just a bit RIDICULOUS. thanks for you so called honesty. I am still doing more extended research on this and will come back to finish posting this review. I’ve had several companies come look at the old unit I had only five years, and I’m astounded of how right I really was. I also had the gentleman that installed the Carrier unit look at the unit and take the part to have it looked at. That’s alright, Mr. Willard. I really enjoyed taking our hard earned money we had saved to give to you instead of the new sprinkler system we had saved for. I believe what comes around goes around. I will return to finish my review, once I have all the complete details. Meanwhile beware people, get second opinions I may have to post this on some other sites also. We are honest hardworking people and deserve better than this. Thanks a bunch … Willards
