I called and scheduled a maintenance call with Willard H&AC. I scheduled it almost two weeks in advance. First thing was they said it would be between 12 – 4 or later. I said I needed a smaller window of time. She also said they would give me a 30 minute call ahead and if I am not there I would still be charged. I told them my work was more than 30 minutes away. She said she would try to give me more time, but couldn’t promise it. I ended up taking the day off, because I wanted to be there. Approximately 3 hours before they were supposed to be there, they called and cancelled. Said they were down to four technicians and they would need to re-schedule. I said I had schedule this well in advance, but she said they still needed to re-schedule. I will never use this business.

Update #3: So. AC unit out again. Froze AGAIN. Ice has formed inside the unit as it did the last time. Repair tech here for last repair assured me the problem had been solved. Nope. So, now I am sitting here with no AC waiting for the ice to melt(told it would take 3 – 4 hours) so the technician can come out later to see what the problem is. He agreed that last tech didn’t fix the problem(duh). Also, my initial appointment between the hours of 10 – 12 this morning was mysteriously overlooked, misplaced, whatever, according to the women in the office(we apologize). If that appointment had been made on time, I wouldn’t have to wait until 10 or 11 tonight for a fourth technician to come out. That will mean that it probably won’t be fixed until tomorrow if a part has to be ordered. Also, was told by company head that he is sending out his senior tech as the others that came out were just«warranty» techs. What the hell? I’m pissed. Do what you will with this info, folks.

I called Willard Heating &AC for a regular maintenance check in April of 2010. The first visit was by a very friendly technician who was informative and generally helpful. I signed up for a maintenance plan package for my HVAC units as I was happy with the initial service. After about 3 months, one of my units seized and I lost AC for 4 days in the mid of summer. The technician I called(not Willard) showed me the outdoor unit and how clogged the filter was. It needed a chemical cleaning it was so bad. Maybe this was just bad luck? I can’t imagine after a full cleaning from Willard 3 months prior that the unit could be clogged so badly. Fast forward to my fall maintenance check and the technician did not bring air filters for my units. This was a little disappointing because it costs roughly $ 60 to replace my air filters, which is something that is definitely included in the membership plan. Also, while on a maintenance plan, apparently it is up to you to schedule the service, something that wasn’t told to me. For the price, I would expect to receive a reminder call, letter, email, or something on those lines. Friendly phone representatives. Hit or miss technicians, first was a great experience, second was not. Lacking in service and follow up. Membership plan was not honored.
