Not all Cheddar’s are created equal. My favorite item is usually the fried shrimp. In Orlando the shrimp are large, and they split them. Here the shrimp are about half the size. The breading is extra thick too. Still tasty though. The rice & beans are different too. In Orlando there’s bits of spicy sausage. No sausage here, and the rice is yellow. Not bad, but definitely different. I’m glad the Monster Cookie is the same. The first one they brought was overcooked and missing the chopped nuts. That’s two strikes right there. Our server tried to tell us they’d run out of nuts. I asked for a new one, and a few minutes later she came and said they’d just gotten some nuts. I guess the Planters truck just pulled up… The new Monster Cookie was baked properly, had nuts on it, and it was delicious. The cherries were missing. Good thing I don’t like cherries…

Ate at Chedders Monday night to horrible results on the food. First off– the service was good– the wait staff(one was training) did well. The chef– Needs to be retrained. I ordered potato skins first. The skins had plenty of cheese and bacon on them, but the actual potato was not cooked. I chalked that up to a fluke. I ordered the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. The meat was overcooked, tough as a boot. The ‘texas toast ’ that was put on the plate looked like it was a month old– bent up and hard as a rock. I know better than to send food back– I know how the kitchen treats returned food. I hope my experience was a one off, but the kitchen needs major help.

Had the whitefish. Nicely presented and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. But don’t come if you have show tickets. Very slow. Sat for over 10 minutes before the server took the drink order. Perhaps it’s time for management to increase prices and add some staff.

Decent food, good service, ok atmosphere and drinks. Your typical chain restaurant. I had the bourbon salmon and a margarita for reference.

Wow!!! Where do I begin? First time ever to a cheddars. Got the chicken fried steak & wow So tender, so flavorful and the white gravy Was excellent! Best smashed potatoes ever, with same gravy of course. All in all 5 stars in my book!!! Oh, and the server was nice too.

Pros; Great food. Had the Monte Cristo with the Broccoli Cheese Casserole. Loved it. Friendly bartender that was very attentive. Cons: no Wifi for the customers. That sucks! They don’t care according to their employees. Probably will go somewhere else on my next trip to the area.

This place is good. Not GREAT. If you want a decent meal at a decent price– this will work-décor is a little on grungy side, place could be cleaner. Food is enjoyable but not anything that will WOW you-service is good. Just don’t expect too much and you will be fine. i had the southwest chicken soup– flavor ok, texture cooked out of ingredients– so it was mushy– still ok– next i had the chicken quesadilla– very cheesy– a little crunch on the outside– not bad at all-my son loved his cheeseburger– his apple pie dessert disappeared quickly. Wife had mango Tilapia said it was good– green beans on the side were overcooked almost like they had been cooked all day. All in all a good neighborhood place that could be great with just a little more attention to the small details.

Tried to eat there on July 3. Was 8:30, so a little bit late, but still 1.5 hours until they close. They might as well been closed. Most of the menu options we wanted were unavailable. Plus the server didn’t know they were unavailable so he would leave and than come back five minutes later to break the news and ask for a new choice. After the third time back, we opted to leave and try Applebee’s instead. Very disappointed and likely won’t be back any time soon.

We love this place for family get-togethers. We usually have larger groups and the staff is so patient with us. They are helpful with the menu suggestions, and quick to refill your sodas or tea. The food is tasty with a lot of menu items for all ages. Portions are big and they make great leftovers too! We found the décor to be upscale and the place clean, including the bathrooms. We had chips and salsa with cheese, as an appetizer, and both the cheese and the salsa had a nice spicy kick to it! Special requests were honored with no errors. Our food came out quickly too! We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

Grilled salmon was good; tasted fresh and cooked just right – not overcooked. Got it served on buttered rice with a side of delicious steamed broccoli. Side salad was mediocre; drowning in too much watery ranch dressing. Wife’s food showed up bone cold, but second plate came in piping hot and she was happy. Food was good. Service is so-so and awkward at times. Management is absent. Bathroom for men excludes a place to change baby diapers Bathroom is Filthy. A three rating is generous considering all factors.

Absolutely horrible food at this restaurant. I ordered the blackened fish and it was so spicy that it was inedible. The appetizers that we ordered tasted horrible. Three of our dinners had to be sent back and where comped, but the total bill still ended up being absolutely outrageous. The service from our waitress was good but that is the only good thing I can say about this restaurant. There was no mixed drink menu because they were redoing it. The table that we were seated at was very sticky. Nothing was done about it. Do not take your family here to eat. The prices are absolutely ridiculous, the food is horrible, and the place is not clean.

lack luster service bland and boring food, just another low budget chain. pretty much a big McDonald’s without a drive through. Food quality was so low I could have done better making the burgers my wife and I had at home. as a 350 pound guy I’m not known for not finishing meals but about halfway through I stopped eating, paid, and went to get food from Arby’s.

I found Cheddar’s to be a pleasant casual restaurant with a limited menu, but pretty good tasting food overall. Lightly battered Homemade Onion Rings were excellent, with Ranch Dressing and a Cajun Dip available for dipping. A Caesar Salad with Creamy Caesar Dressing was very good, along with a very light Honey Butter Croissant available on request. Braised Fall-a-part Beef Roast with tender chunks of beef, celery, carrots, onions, and gravy was tender and tasty – like a light pot roast. Cheddar’s Legendary Monster Cookie, composed of a large skillet-baked Chocolate Chip Cookie topped with Vanilla Ice Cream, Hot Fudge, nuts, and a cherry, provided a good ending to a fine and filling dinner of comfort food. Our server initially forgot my ordered Lemonade; otherwise service was good. XXX-½ stars overall!

Better than Appleby’s or Chili’s, but in that same vein. This was my first visit to a Cheddar’s. I had been somewhat put off by the ‘cheesy’ name. [Sorry] Had a good waitress. Helpful suggestions. Good level of attention, and prompt. I went with the walnut chicken salad, with blue cheese. Ample serving of dressing in a little bowl. Salad was tasty, and a good mix of ingredients. Chicken was seasoned and cooked nicely. Dining area is large. Ample room between tables. High ceilings. Comfortable environment. Parking lot was full, but still seating available.

Prices are very reasonable. I’m in town for work & had the mango sangria– good! But heavy on the mango mix. A glass of the Pinot noir– would NOT recommend. Started out with the Chicken Tortilla soup– BEST I’ve ever had. Chicken was extremely tender and soup was full of flavor with a spicy kick to it. I ordered the crispy chicken salad– cane with honey mustard dressing. Salad overall was a little lacking but the chicken was amazing! I would def recommend eating here again.

Glad we decided to go here. The menu had plenty of choices… I played it safe and went with chicken tenders platter, although I did have the option of getting buffalo flavor. Portions were awesome. I had like 400 lbs of chicken. The sides were great. Cheddar’s offered some more home cooking type options. I got the broccoli and cheese casserole. Yum. Our server Elizabeth was great. She paid prompt attention to us. The prices were awesome. I got alot of food for the money. The other guys I was with commented on the lack of draft beer options. I will be eating there again when I come back for subsequent work trips.

Pretty much the same thing as applebees and o’charleys. The only distinction is if you have the misfortune of going on the same night as a school dance, because apparently this is the point of congregation for the entire student body. Overall just ok.

Anybody who has ever had to suffer through visiting Decatur understands that the lack of food options is terrible. Nevertheless, Cheddars is a breath of fresh air. The wings and steaks are really good here. Also, try the queso, it is delicious…

Not bad. If you’re into Chili’s, Applebee’s, etc., this is essentially the same thing. Their ribs were decent. Pretty good sized portions and their appetizers are essentially meals by themselves.

Big portions, low prices — that is their deal. The food is your standard American chain restaurant fair. I especially like the chicken tenders, buffalo chicken wrap, salmon, and ribs. The Bellini’s are really good too. The patio is nice to sit out on during the summer and service is typically decent. If you are looking for a good meal at a decent price out by the mall, I would highly recommend.
