OMG I thought it was a pot shop at first but soon realized they sold sandwiches — wowzers! OMG what a big azz surprise for my lame old fat azz! Da AK47 sandwich is absolutely the bomb — a great sandwich! Sorta a clever theme since Fort Collins has a lot of pot shops with lots of hungry stoner boners running around town at all hours with big time munchies! Golly Gee maybe they can get a pot license and start putting weed in their sandwiches! I’m a fricken marketing genius! A Big Booya to stoner boner sandwich nation!

Cheeba Hut!!! A Colorado original… A plethora of different toasted subs… I personally enjoy the Durban Diesel… It’s actually not on the menu but you can still order it… Serve craft beer in the side of the restaurant…

While visiting FoCo a friend took us here for some grub and drinks. The food was decent, and the vibe was sort of a tiki hut/head shop/bar? It honestly looked like someone just combined all of the things that remotely interested them and opened a shop. Somehow, it works. I got some veggie sandwich and it was pretty horrible actually but the friend I was with got a pastrami sandwich and said it was really good. Maybe this place just isn’t for vegetarians? Oh well.

The theme of the place was pretty freaking cheesy(kind of… tiki head shop vibe?), but the sandwich I got(the eclipse: pastrami, ham, banana peppers and chipotle ranch) was deliiiiicious.

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to walk into a Cheba Hut. This place is kick ass! First of all, every sandwich is named after different types of marijuana which will turn away the more conservative patrons… good. The theme going on here is a reggae/hippy feel and that’s exactly how I like it. As you can expect with this type of sandwich shop the employees are the hippy stoner types and that only means that they’re super friendly and outgoing. I really can’t put my finger on what I like so much about Cheba Hut but I sure wish I had one close by. We needed a late night munchie after heavy drinking and this was right next to my cousins apartment complex. Sold! We came in and enjoyed some local beers from New Belgium and I got the Kush(BLT). Now BLT’s aren’t a hard sandwich to make but between the chipotle mayo, toasted garlic bread and fresh veggies, I was in absolute heaven. I will forever hit up a Cheba Hut just as I do with In N’ Out every time I see one. OH! I almost forgot. You can play Corn Hole on the patio!

Cheba Hut rocks! Every sub I’ve eaten there is delicious! We go to Trivia on Mondays … and the red kool-aid’s pretty tasty! One of my favorites ever is their crunchberry marshmellow treats… seriously yummy!

I have always loved Cheba Hut, but the location on Laurel is the best one I have ever been in. With the awesome bar, outdoor seating and very pleasant staff, it’s just exactly what I want out of a chill sub shop. I always get the Griefo with sliced avo on wheat, because hemp cream cheese is made of heaven and the veggies are always fresh. They always toast the subs perfectly so the bread is deliciously crunchy and NEVER limp or soggy. Honestly, that’s what keeps me coming back, just the simple care and pride in the creation of delicious food. And the hemp seed brownies. Those are really really really really good.

Tonight we had a disappointing encounter with Fort Collin’s Cheba Hut. I’ve had it a million times at the boulder branch so i know exactly what i wanted when i ordered delivery. The White widow, absolutely the best the chain has to offer. We got two tonight and man, they where disappointing. Everything was fine with the sandwich except there wasn’t any ranch sauce on it or none i could find. The white widows I’ve had in the past at the boulder branch where slathered in the dankest ranch sauce ever. I’d say it really ‘makes’ the sandwich. However without it its just… a dry, sad, warm, sandwich. The reason they still get two stars though is because the dude that delivered the sandwiches seemed like a friendly guy, and the girl that took my order also seemed cool too. All encounters i had with the staff where pleasant, so no real problem here with the staff or service what so ever. I wonder if they just ran out of ranch sauce for the sandwiches and just… did it up anyways. Who knows. I guess as a discerning, sober, late night food delivery aficionado, I’m just a little disappointed. I’m not saying I’m not gonna order from here again, I’m just planning on getting a little ranch on the side so I’m sure to get some, i’ll just DIY it and throw it on the sandwich my self. It could of just be a busy night or maybe they just ran out of the 1 component i wanted the most, eather way with somewhat high sandwich the prices here, having a disapointing sandwich goes from being disappointing to a bummer, especially when you order two of the same sandwiches. So long story short, Nice Staff, Disappointing Sammy. I’ll likely try again because i know the chain is capable of more.

I love this place. Always had good service. Happy hour is great. Pretty good beer on tap. Cheddar broccoli soup is delicious. Oh and check out trivia on Monday nights with Bruce — pretty fun!

I’m from Cali and the sandwich shops in Colorado are a lot different so I didn’t know know what to order, but the sandwich artist and cashier was pretty chill and patient about everything. He was probably high, heh.

not a bad sub shop at all. my only complaint is the staff can be a bit too stoned at times. once i asked for a sub, not sure what kind i asked for, and it came out the toaster and it looked way off, so i asked the guy making my sandwich if that was the sandwich i ordered. his comment was… cue in stoner voice«woow, i totally just made my favorite sub, not the one you wanted, mah bad» although i was hungry and in a hurry it was funny enough to override my hurry.
