Love this bar! We had the deviled eggs that were excellent! The sampler of ciders are the way to go, you have a choice of 5 to taste of their own brewed ciders. I wish I could bring some home with me on the plane. The bartender was entertaining. A great place to gather with friends to relax and grab appetizers before dinner! We are only here for another day hoping to make it back to get my favorite cider before we leave.

I visited Ft. Collins, about mid January and had the pleasure of visiting Compass on a Friday night. Now, granted the college kids weren’t back in full swing from break yet but it amazes me that this spot is not booming with business! This place took my previously distorted and tainted experiences with cider, turned them upside down and beat the you-know-what out of them. When you consider the big name ciders, such as Woodchuck and Angry Orchard, with their whopping 23 or so grams of sugar, do you blame me? Wow, was I impressed. The product served here is diverse, made with quality in mind and satisfyingly tasty. I did not know there could be so many variations with cider. I had a tester flight and enjoyed them all. This is a great alternative to beer, when the mood strikes. The décor is pretty cool as well. Check out the details and I think you’ll agree. For example, the wood table tops are original flooring pieces from railroad cars complete with wear marks. Fancy with style, bam!

Great cider and great service! I hope FoCo learns to appreciate cider as much as they do beer. And this place does real cider, not Angry Orchard apple juice cider.

So… I’m a sucker for the sweet ciders I can pick up in a six pack, but this was an entirely new and exciting experience. We got a tasting flight with five ciders(all of which were from Colorado and most from Fort Collins), zucchini fritters, and a quesadilla. We also ended up getting wassail because it’s the season, eh? Even though I’m accustomed to more sweet ciders, I was totally impressed by the selection I got to try tonight. 11 Stitches was my absolute favorite with the bourbon and vanilla flavors throughout. And Tempest Cherry grew on me! I would absolutely go back for a full glass of any of those ciders. We were the only people in the place because we got there close to opening and the gentleman who served us was very nice and knowledgeable. He made a couple cracks about Woodchuck that made us laugh, and he never stopped smiling. Super welcoming. Great atmosphere!

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Compass Cider. We visited on a cold Saturday. They had a special hot spiced cider going. It was pretty dry, but my wife really enjoyed it. She usually favors sweeter ciders, but the spices filled out the tartness for her. The bartender was friendly and familiar with the product which is something that I really appreciate when I go to a place that makes its own. They were running low on some of their ciders, so we didn’t get to take any with us to go, but that just means we’ll have to make it back to Fort Collins for a future visit. I found all of the ciders to be well balanced. They classify them as semi-dry which seems to be the style that I favor. Cider is a nice change of pace compared to beer, and I’m hoping to see Compass Cider make its way to the Denver market sometime soon.

My favorite bar in town. The drinks are great, the food is a some(especially the pimiento cheese spread) and the staff is always great. If you haven’t made it yet, this is a must stop in Old Town.

Exactly what I was hoping for. The«taster tray» ran the gamut from dry, apple-forward ciders, to lightly hopped(even dry hopped) styles, to cherry-infused sweet ciders. The poundcake(on the happy hour menu for $ 5) was also very tasty!

Ambiance is great really neat lights, friendly staff, had music here; local band. Thursday night was kinda slow moving but chill atmosphere. The cider how ever did lack a certain variety, kinda bland in the taster tray(which I recommend before investing in a full glass of a cider)

LOVE the décor here. Theres an awesome compass made out of wood on their ceiling that flows into the room next door. Gives the place a very cool look. As does their counter area. My husband and I had the taster flight and what we noticed was that most of the ciders are not very sweet. So depending on what you like, you might really like these. I personally like them a little sweeter. My favorite was the cherry lychee. Never tasted anything like it! Very tasty! I would definitely come back for this one. They also have live music. I wasnt a fan of they music they had the night we came in. But the cool décor and the cherry lychee cider made me very happy!

Wonderful atmosphere, great service & ciders… pricey though. Visited Compass on a Friday around 7pm for a quick date night, to use our passport( ). We were blown away by the décor, commented many of times we wish this was our home. Waitress was very attentive, knowledgable and polite. I’m not a cider fan however, Compass changed my opinion quickly. We sampled two ciders(11stitches is amazing!!) and carried on to a new venue. I would visit Compass again but only for their happy hour, consists of $ 5 cider of the day. Our ciders were $ 8 a piece which seemed a bit steep for a glass of local cider. Very impressed and hoping for a more detailed happy hour in the near future.

Tried the flight and hot cider, wassail. I love cider but I only like the last 2 of the flight. Wished I liked more of them. The decorations were very simple yet elegant. The girl behind bar was very friendly. And you know what I totally love, the soap in the women’s bathroom. Cute place, would come back, wished they were open later than 10. *didn’t try food but it looked good.
