This might be my new favorite restaurant! The happy hour menu and prices is great! Monday is happy hour all day (i think) and everything was great! The calimari was sooo good! So were the oysters, crab, shrimp, etc.
We came another time for dinner and had most of the same stuff. It is so yummy!
The one downfall is that it’s not that big so unless you make a reservation, expect to wait. We have gotten lucky by making a reservation and then getting a seat at the bar but I wouldn’t take a chance.

This is our new favorite restaurant! It was the best service and food combined, we’ve ever had… and we’ve lived all over the US. The staff is very attentive, and the General Manager spent a good amount of time explaining the wines, and how the restaurant operates. Fresh seafood delivered 6 days a week!
We ordered snow crab, and when the server noticed that one of the crab legs didn’t have meat inside, he went back to the kitchen and brought out 2 large legs to compensate!
Well worth the money… we can’t want to come back :)

Came in for a quick bite during happy hour. This place was hopping during happy hour. Not sure if you can reserve a spot during this time but if you can, I’d highly recommend it. We were able to squeeze in on a bar table.
They got some great choices druing the happy hour, we ended up going with the happy hour combo, which comes with ¼lb snow crab, ¼lb peel and eat shrimp, and 3 oysters. It was a great way to gauge numerous items. We also added one more oyster, since it only came with three. The happy hour Chardonnay is a good one. We ended up drinking the entire bottle during our stay. The food was great. The waitress that was on the floor at the time made some great suggestions that lent to a great experience.
Looking forward to my next visit.

Came in for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t very busy so we were seated right away. We ordered a couple of the house cocktails, and were not impressed. They weren’t bad, just uninspired. I ordered the special, fish and chips. It was quite good, but was actually a deep fired piece of fish, not the traditional type I was expecting. My wife ordered the tuna. It was plated beautifully, but she didn’t like it much. The vegetables that came with it were great, but the tuna was a bit bland. The price was a bit high for the mediocre quality of the meals and drinks. Service was adequate, but not great.
We plan to give Jax an second look some time, but there are so many great restaurants in Fort Collins, that it’s hard to justify it.

We sat at the bar, and enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. All the while, we interacted with two of the best bartenders that I have met in a very long time, PLUS we watched the Oyster Shuckers mastering their craft. A very fun atmosphere with great drinks and food. We were pleasantly surprised by the Happy Hour menu, which was available until 6:00 pm, and quite extensive in selection choices, at GREAT prices. Make sure and save room for the Bacon Smores, (YES everything tastes better with bacon). If you enjoy seafood and fish, this is definitely your stop when exploring all that Old Town has to offer.

As usual had an awesome experience at JAX. You must try an Oyster shooter as well as their Oyster Stout, Both are awesome. The seafood is always so fresh, flown in daily I believe. Best seafood in Northern Colorado for sure. The atmosphere is top notch. Our waiter Garrett was exceptional last night. Tried Caviar for the first time and the Cioppino was awesome! Cant wait to go back. My favorite place in Old town Fort Collins.

We had a fun and delicious experience!
The Quality of food is supreme in my opinion it was great. a little pricey but worth it.
The tables are a lot of fun because you can draw on them if you so choose to. great for kids and also adults i think.
Service was great too, very friendly and not too much not too little coming by the table.
It is a smaller restaurant but very cozy and inviting. It is right in old town too and a great choice for anyone wanting to go out for dinner and seafood or even after a good day of shopping. You also don’t have to dress super fancy if you don’t want to.

We recently stopped in for happy hour, Jax has a great HR menu which was ample for dinner and they’ll serve it in the dining room as well as the bar area. Seems like the fish was very fresh. The atmosphere is casual yet classy.

As a New Yorker that loves her food, I had no expectations of Jax Fish House other then my Sister and Brother-​in-​law love it. Lovely, helpful, knowledgeable and passionate staff. My parents got a cocktail that came in a brass cup and they loved it. Our server was helpful, but not on top of us and the food was delicious. I was impressed.

Great seafood restaurant. Table of 6 seated at high tops right next to the fish tank. One of us had issues with an appetizer and the manager comped us and gave use oysters on the house. Peel and eat shrimp was amazing, as well as their gumbo. Great dinner !

Eatting here now and every thing is delicious crab is super greasy and tasty ! The Garlic herb oysters are THE BOMB most definitely try those ! Will definitely recommend and will come again !

I have never had a bad meal or a bad experience here. My husband and I usually sit at the bar, where the very talented Kyle is our bartender. He always takes extremely good care of us and makes us feel as if we’re the only ones at the bar. Kudos Kyle!!!
Tonight we were accompanied by my husbands father so we sat in a booth. Emily was our server. She was also outstanding. It’s refreshing to get such great service so consistently.
The food… good god! The food is never short of amazing! I had the pan seared lobster gnocchi and it was fantastic!!! I could go on for ever, but just believe me… this place is top notch!. Always impressed!!!

Great food, fresh with great specials. Get there before 6pm for happy hour. Wine Wednesdays are 50% off any bottle under $ 50 and $ 25 off any bottle over $ 50. The oysters were fresh and shrimp grits were good too. Service was excellent and food came out quickly.

Great seafood happy hour and overall one of the best seafood restaurants in the area
I love Jax for their happy hour with booth food and drink specials. Their oysters are always fresh and the bartenders are quick, efficient and friendly.
I wish there were more variety in the types of fish offered but what they have are a great value.
