Horrible horrible horrible service. Waitress messed up over and over again. She kept going to the other two tables. Probably because they had more people, means bigger bill, means higher tip. Then the owner made nasty, disgusting snide comments to me… and she’s «religious»!!! Never ever going to this place again. Then the waiter has the audacity, when she finally brings the bill after 10 min wait, to say add this amount, pointing to 20% tip, to that amount(the food, including a to go item) and pay that??? She knew that her service was sooo bad that she had to point out the tip!!! Don’t give poor service, then you won’t need to point it out! Horrible place!!! Wish there were a 0 star option

If you want a good veggie burger or even a decent one go somewhere else. I didn’t have the sushi, pasta, pizza, or salad that their window says they also specialize in, we had a veggie burger and a veggie sandwich. The veggie sandwich was just roasted vegetables on bread nothing else. The veggie burger was rather plain no sauce, mushy, and dry. The prices for what you got were a little high.

Me and my boyfriend are sushi fanatics and this is the best sushi we have ever eaten. It is not expensive because you get what you pay for you get 10 large pieces of sushi withe very dish. The moishe Salad is amazing. Everything is delicious and everyone should try this restaurant

The food is wonderful but Café Emunah never seems to be open. For long periods of time the restaurant will close and they do not bother stating so on their website or voicemail. This leaves you rather disappointed when you make the trek only to see«Closed until ____.» on the window.

Excellent sushi. Great service. Parking is a bit of a hassle. They are closed for part of the year also. I don’t eat kosher but my fiend does so it’s really nice that we have a place to go that has such good sushi.

Amazing sushi here and some of the best you will find in South Florida! Very fresh, exciting rolls that are unlike many other places. Nice atmosphere and relaxing as well. This is a kosher establishment as well although I am not Jewish. Definitely stop by and check this place out!

This is an interesting spot. It’s a tea house and a sushi restaurant and kosher. OK. I had a lovely pot of tea, the emerald lily which was floral and delicious. I really appreciated the care that they offered with their tea service. For my dinner I started with edamame and was asked if I wanted salt, yes please. I had the day 5 roll and a veggie roll. Both were really tasty. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday night and the service was good. The atmosphere is a little bare bones and if you’re dining alone like I was, you end up hearing the conversations of other diners. So some sort of background music might be a good addition.

Been here bunch of times. Very eclectic menu and laid back ambiance. Place could benefit from music though as the B ground noise currently is the humming of their kitchen equipment, which wouldn’t be a big deal if they didn’t charge me $ 32 for a grouper entrée. Let’s talk about that grouper. If you gonna charge me that much, it best be fresh and tasty. It was off. Not sure exactly why… maybe previously frozen? The tuna appetizers are always a winner here. Price and quantity very fair. Desserts are usually good. .basic but tasty. Overall it’s a cool spot. Lots of breathing room.

Great little café/restaurant with excellent service and reasonable prices. Plentiful, hearty sushi rolls and delicious coffee. Was able to do some work on my laptop in the corner couch area with free wifi.

What a lovely place! Server was great. Love the atmosphere. Casual and inviting. The blueberry iced tea was delicious. We had the sea bass and pasta of the day. Very good. The prices are fair.

Café Emunah is a cute place almost reminds me of a trendy wine bar or café with white lighting and modern décor. I sat at the bar and the sushi chef attended to my needs, somehow I think he was in charge. I was ignored by the waitstaff. Anywho… The sushi chef suggested the Ocean roll which was delicious. I also ordered the Salmon Skin roll. I wanted to try the pizzas and everything else on the menu but didn’t have the stomach capacity for such a feat. I will be back to visit(I am terrible at names but the sushi chef guy)!!!

Great place! I’m not Jewish so I don’t normally eat Kosher food but this place is great. Seated right away, nice atmosphere, free internet and the food was really good. We asked for bread and they came out with some hummus to go with the bread which was fantastic. I ordered the Beach Roll without rice and it was very delicious. We also had edamame which you can’t go wrong with. My friend said she had some of there teas before and they were really good. I’ll have to try some tea next time… Parking was a little tricky because there weren’t any spots in front and were told not to park in the bank parking so we parked behind the building.

Café Emunah is basically a kosher restaurant which makes it somewhat different but I found it to be even more different than that, having what struck me as being a distinctive weirdness, almost creepiness, about the place. They pride themselves in the freshest and best ingredients which in fact they do have, but also in being a place of inner reflection, or offer, as they so state: «…an experience for the senses, & an oasis for the mind, body and soul… a physical journey into your spiritual self.» Most food offerings basically seem to be on Asian or Sushi seafood side of the culinary scale, all kosher, though I have wonderings about how their«pretzel crusted crab cakes» fit in with that theme. They don’t serve any alcohol, not even beer or wine, though they have a rather large selection of organic drinks which they headline as «Soul Stirrings.» I didn’t try any so that if, without being at least 80 proof, anyone of them would stirred my soul, I wouldn’t know. I went for the tuna roll which was indeed prepared with the very best of tuna, tasty and good. However, not really in any way that would set it above the tuna rolls found elsewhere in the area. The service was good, friendly but as there was only one other couple in the restaurant other than me, found it rather confusing in that I somehow ended up with two waiters who seemed to alternate turns with my table. It’s also certainly a clean enough place and has a good but rather dull gray décor about it. I know I shouldn’t get subjective in a review, but I must because this is probably the first restaurant I’ve been to in which I seem to have experienced a personal personality clash, not with any person, but with the restaurant itself. For reasons unknown to me and for reasons I could care less about, I’m simply not very spiritualistic, don’t care whether my food is kosher or not, have zero inner reflections, and though I generally consume foods from the wild and avoid commercially raised or grown farm products, have little concern over labels such as «organic.» Hence, to me, I found the general atmosphere of the place to be boring, totally absent of what I would term to be a fun factor. However, if you’re the type concerned with organic, kosher or some kind of physical journey into yourself, this might be the place for you.

Had a great time here. The food and service were excellent. The waiter saw us come in and notified us that we were illegally parked and told us where to park legally(and free.) This place is much better than the typical Kosher non-meat place. The menu has many creative items and everything was deliciously and beautifully presented. We will definitely try to get back here on our next trip.

I don’t know if this restaurant has been under new management after the positive reviews, but I went here just a few weeks ago and it was horrible. I’m assuming the host was inexperienced, but he greeted us from about 10 yards with a shaky«uh… Sit wherever you’d like.» He also took our order. It wasn’t until about 15 minutes after we put in our order that this guy said they were out of yellowtail(yellowtail!!! At a sushi place?!?). He made the same announcement to 3 other tables. We waited– I timed this– 45 minutes for 2ROLLS. In this time there was only one chef and multiple parties complaining that they hasn’t been served or were opting to leave. Smart move on their not to include the 18% tip they typically auto add– I read about this on the other reviews. Bottom line: I’ve been to places with similar sushi chef to customer ratios and they can keep up. Get another chef, move faster– FIGUREITOUT. And please take that«they like us on Unilocal» sticker off your door because it’s undeserved.

Note: On Unilocal I review exclusively sushi bars. A kosher sushi bar? Its excellent. One of Broward’s best places for sushi, primarily due to the quality as opposed to the selection. Be sure to check the hours(closed Fri sundown to Sat sundown). Its probably a top ten S. Fl sushi bar.

Not worthed the visit. Horrible service, 18% included tips on your tab, no matter how many you are with, sushi is only good, they do have creative options but with A LOOOTSOFRICE and very little fish! I had Day 6 roll, only good, it didn’t make me want to go back for that… tuna tataki is nice and fresh(like most places), rolling in the river roll is good for who don’t like raw sushi but the tempura on the outside is way to crispy that hurts your upper mouth, spicy tuna roll is good, made only with the spicy sauce and not the mayo mix. Will not go back, and will not recommend

Really? I mean really? This is over-priced very normal food. Besides adding an automatic 18% gratuity to every bill, we were told after we ordered sushi that it was not the normal chef and he was running behind. 45 minutes later… you get the idea. Sure the food was decent, but 6 pieces of sushi for $ 14 dollars is just a bit too steep unless the flavors are just right. They also have no liquor license, but if you have to wait long enough they will offer a not-so-great martini complimentary. Mind you it is only a single martini per table. Hmmmmm. At least it was kosher, I guess.

[Visit of Thursday, November 10, 2011] An excellent dining experience all around. The Arizal Salad with golden beets and red beets with goat cheese was perfect. I ordered it because one was whisked past me on its way to another table. A fried Vidalia onion stack is a great and delicious garnish that caught my eye. I added a little balsamic vinegar, olive oil and salt to my salad without thinking but that only made it better. I’ve never had golden beets in anything but they were the highlight of the dish. My wife’s Dragon Roll sushi looked like a ton of food; a California Roll topped with avocado, Salmon and tuna. She refused to give me any. That’s just as well because I didn’t want to share my salad. And didn’t. That’s a good sign that the food was as good as it could be.
