I came here with some friends on a whim on a Sunday evening. We were extremely hungry and this was one of the rare places that was open late(until 2 am) on a Sunday. I was very skeptical of the experience at first given the tiny size of the restaurant. It is really crammed in here with only two tables on the floor. The staff is friendly and greeted us politely. The four of us sat ourselves on the bar stools facing the workstation where you can see the sushi chefs in action. Though the restaurant is tiny and crammed and therefore not very accommodating to the diners, surprisingly the experience was splendid. We ordered tuna tataki, hamachi tartar and chicken steams dumpling as appetizers. We each also ordered our own individual rolls which we ended up sharing. Word of caution– if you’re famished you might need to order 2 separate signature rolls. The sushi was fresh and the chefs know their flavor combination. My favorite roll there was called the voodoo roll. It had cilantro, jalapeño and seared yellowtail. It was mouthwatering delicious. One of my friend decided to also order that once she had a taste of mine. Aside from enjoying delicious and creative rolls, my favorite experience was being able to watch the chefs put together beautiful dishes before our eyes and then later getting to taste them. It was something unique and mesmerizing and sadly we don’t get to do it too often. If anyone has the time and wants to have a uniquely mesmerizing experience, I would definitely recommend going here on a quiet evening with friends to both witness and eat the amazing sushi/sashimi.

It’s the day after dinner at Sushi Song, and my boyfriend and I keep periodically turning to each other and saying«Remember how awesome dinner last night was?» Being from a landlocked state, sushi had to be on the agenda while so close to the ocean. We chose Sushi Song for their larger than average selection of rolls without shellfish, which is super important to us due to my boyfriend’s allergy. The sushi blew us away. The Shut Up Liz, Voodoo, and Triple rolls were fantastically creative, fresh, and full of unique flavors and textures without overshadowing the fish. Service was also top-notch; the servers and chef made us feel at ease with accommodating the shellfish allergy — not always a given at sushi restaurants. We left feeling satisfied and like we got a great value. Highly recommended!

Probably some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Literally intoxicating. This locations was VERY small and intimate unlike the one in Deerfield. I highly recommend going here.

The place is super tiny, seats about 20 people. 2 tables of four and the rest along the bar. The food was good and fresh for a good price out east by the ocean(not ocean front). The Kc tuna roll had a weird sauce, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. It was different than the usual vinegar sauce.

This place is a gem! Tiny little place. You wouldn’t think anything special about it and that makes me like it even more! The food and the service were phenomenal so much that we had to order again 2 of the rolls we got! –rolls are not small but not big either– and prices are good, it’s a very affordable place! My suggestions: dragon roll, shrimp tempura and Kamikaze roll(this one is not on the menu but you can just order it) it’s yummy!!! Give this place a try! You won’t regret it!

Amazing! If you go, defiantly sit by the bar. You will get to watch the masters at work with their torches and out of this world knife skills. We sat by the bar and ordered a few roles. Staff is friendly and the bar seating allows you to interact with them ask questions and see your food made. It’s also a great way to meet locals. The food hit the spot. The yellow tail with jalapeño was my favorite. My husband got a dragon roll that was cool to watch being made — they put sauce on it and lit it up. The appetizers were great too. Tuna tataki looked great as did the cucumber rolls. I liked that the sushi place had Ragge music and an island vide — very unusual. I also like that it’s open late. A bit pricey but a must try.

Absolutely love it here. Mark is THE man. My boyfriend and I are regulars and try to come once a week, sometimes it ends up being 3 times… it’s so good and so fresh you can’t go wrong. It’s a small place so it’s quick, but every meal here is delicious. These guys will make something up for you if that’s what you want. Always come hungry and always leave happy.

My first experience of Sushi Song was at Dream Wine Lounge in Wilton Manors where on Friday evenings one of their sushi chefs comes out to prepare some of their menu items. The sushi that night was good enough to make my boyfriend and I give the original location a try. There are only a handful of sushi restaurants open late in the Fort Lauderdale area, with Sushi Song being open until 2am on a Friday night. We came after 10pm and found the place to be pretty slow until maybe 15 minutes after we sat down. The restaurant it self is small and intimate with two four person tables in side and 10 seats at the bar. Aside from the bar area, the place has pretty dim romantic lighting. We ordered the seaweed salad, rainbow roll, eel roll and the spiderman. The seaweed salad and rainbow roll were standard good items. We were a little let down by the eel roll. I’m not sure if it was in general or because the eel was on the inside rather than outside and therefore some of the flavors were lost? The spiderman is a combination of their spider roll covered with their spicy tuna tartare and was amazing! There is something about the spider roll from Sushi Song that makes it extra good compared to your typical spider roll. Maybe they toast/cook it longer to give it that extra crispness. Anyways, if you like these items separate, try them together. Be aware that Sushi Song doesn’t cut their spicy sauce with much mayo so it could make your nose run from the siracha. Although we’re continuously on the hunt for the best sushi place in the area, we will definitely be coming back here.

Love this place… Their fish are fresh and their menu are very interesting. My favorite is the monkfish liver. It have a special sauce over it which bring out the richness taste of the monkfish itself. Also recommending their sake, Sawasawa sake… Sparking Nigori unfiltered sake… You will not be disappointed… Sushi Song all night long.

So we headed out for sushi last night, MYBIRTHDAY, and were going to Saia which is a favorite of my fiancé and I. We were pretty bummed to realize Saia is out of business. So we started driving North on A1A and my fiancé mentioned a «great» sushi place he heard is close by. We decided to give it a try and the rest is history. The food was great, we met the owner, Mr. Song, who was really nice and seemed genuinely excited as we told him all about how we ended up there and how much we were enjoying the meal. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. They remembered our names, made suggestions, changed things up based off of what we liked in the rolls, and made INCREDIBLE sushi. We will be back very soon! The sushi rolls we ordered were phenomenal. We started with the gyoza(cooked to perfection and the dipping sauce was great!- not your regular ponzu, this sauce was red/orange), and we had the Hamachi jalepeno. The hamachi was seared to perfection and again the sauce was out of this world. We ordered three rolls between the two of us(could have done two, but everything was so gooooood). The rolls we had were The VooDoo Roll, the Surf and Turf Roll and the Hamachi Jalapeño Roll. The VooDoo roll was amazing, but a little on the spicy side. When I come back and order again, I will ask for no siracha on top. The fish was fresh and flavors were bangin. Next we had the surf and turf roll. It was basically a mexican roll or shrimp tempura roll with kobe beef on top. My fiancé LOVED this roll. I prefer uncooked roll, but the flavors were still spot on. My absolute favorite was the Hamachi Jalapeño roll which consisted of avocado, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño i/o topped with yellowtail & house special sauce. I dreamed about it last night, it was phenomenal. Since it was my birthday, we finished off with Mochi Ice Cream(sweet sticky rice with an ice cream filling) choices of green tea, red bean, chocolate, mango, strawberry, vanilla and black sesame(I can’t remember the name of the last one). This was great! Our bill came to $ 100 + $ 25tip. They deserved every penny of that 25% tip! I know we could get sushi for cheaper, but I have lived in South Florida for all of my 28 years and this place is far better than the rest. One more thing, Sit at the bar! It was such a fun experience. Loved talking to the chefs, watching them make my rolls, etc. Advice for those leaving negative reviews: 1– Have a little fun. The music wasn’t «blasting» and the chefs were having a good time. 2– Don’t eat a california roll at a sushi place known for cool/special rolls. Be adventurous! 3– You get what you pay for. None of the rolls we had were over $ 20. I have had many rolls in my life that were far more expensive than that. If you want quality seafood and ingredients, expect to dish out a little more.

I’d like to write a great review about this place, but unfortunately, I don’t think they’re ready for it. First of all, I so think that for the place, the service and the options(very limited), it’s expensive. The place is SUPER small, and décor is old and outdated. $ 8 for a house glass of wine(from that big Woodbridge bottle that you pay $ 9 at any Publix) they offer other kinds, such as Saint Michelle, but apparently they don’t carry it nor let the customer know about it. I asked for chardonnay St. Michelle, and I saw the girl poring from Woodbridge, when I asked about it, she said it was the one I asked. The sushi size and the freshness of it were perfect the two times I went, that is why the two stars. Not planing to came back at any time soon. Maybe if I’m craving(really, really craving) sushi after 10pm.

Sushi Song is just a little hole in wall of a place with two small outside uncovered sidewalk tables, an inside sushi bar seating about ten and a few indoor tables with seating for about eight. The front windows are heavily tinted so from the outside the place may look closed but there is a faint sign inside the window that will read«open.» When you walk in, it’s dimly lit and looks somewhat darker as the ceiling and tables are black. They also play the music rather loud. When I was there, they were playing some rather weird funky electronic music that had been recorded at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival. Though, OK with me, a few of the other patrons complained about it so it was turned down. They also had a television going tuned to TNT, but of course with no sound. At first one wouldn’t think it to be the best of places, but for sushi, I think you’d be wrong about that. For an appetizer, I had their spicy tuna tartar with topped with black tobiko, scallion, served with crackers. It came beautifully present, was stunningly fresh and tasty. For a salad I went for their baby octopus with cucumber and special house sauce. It was well arranged with plenty of tasty little octopus(or is that«octopi»…but then since the root is from Greek not Latin, it should technically be either«octopuses,» «octopods» or «octopodes»). Anyway, the sauce paired nicely with the cucumber while adding delicious flavor to the baby Mollusca: Cephalopoda:Octopoda. For my entrée I went for their«Spider,» consisting of a soft shell crab tempura, avocado, masago and cream cheese topped with both an eel and spicy mayo sauce. The presentation couldn’t have been better and the taste, flavor and generally consistency were outstanding. Besides the food, Sushi Song is also a very friendly, sort of chatty little place, where one generally feels right at home.
