Thai To Go

Walked here for lunch while attending a workshop at on of the hotels. The girl behind the counter was very pleasant I was able to just tell her what I wanted, without having to read the menu. That was easy and fast. I had veggies and tofu in peanut sauce and it was very good. The vegetables were very fresh. There is only one table for customers, but it was just perfect for myself and my colleague.

Best pad Thai and the pad woo sen if I said that right is outstanding. Delivery is fast and cheap. HIDDEN GEM.

I love this place a lot. My favorite is Thai Spicy hotBasil the test 100% as Thailand. I total love this place. The owner and staff very Friendly.

WoW. What a completely shitty experience I had at this place this evening.
I used to order from this place in the 1990’s ALL THE TIME. Seriously, I ordered take out from here at least once a week and had it delivered. Then I moved, kinda forgot about this place, went to Sukho Thai instead when I had a craving…
So tonight I felt like Thai take out and my lightbulb went off and I remembered this place. Went to their website, which I thought was really user friendly to quickly view the menu (some site’s menu’s are a nightmare to view — you either have to open each page separately, its in a tiny ass font, no prices… all horrible for the customer– I digress). So I thought the website was great, picked out my old favorite: Fried Tofu red curry ($ 10). I called in the order, was asked regular or hot, I said hot. hot please… and am told it will be 10 minutes to pick up. So, wow, this is exactly like I remember, I am thinking…
I arrive to the store front 10 minutes later, its still in the same no frills strip mall and still dumpy looking (but whatever, right!). I pay with cc and say to the girl «how long has this place been here? I used to order from here all the time but it was about 20 years ago» she tells me like 1993 or something… and am given my food.
I notice that they use a different (smaller looking) to-​go container than 20 years ago (used to use the tin rectangle with the paper top that you fold the tin lid around the paper top, think italian restaurant), so I say, ohhh It looks like your portions are smaller than they used to be. the girl says «no, it is same portion» I say ok, thanks and leave.
I get in the car and check my order and realize that there is not a lot of the curry sauce at all. So I take the bag and go back in the place and ask if I can please have some more sauce. The girl takes my bag in the back for like 5 minutes and I hear a lot of loud talking, which obviously I cannot understand (think — Elaine at the nail salon on Seinfeld) and I am wondering what is taking so long, but whatever. The girl finally comes back out and is so nasty and rude. In a serious asshole tone she gives me my bag and says next time I am going to charge you for extra sauce, it comes with the amount you already got, that how it is here (paraphrased). (I am no stranger paying for extra sides so again, whatever, it was this girls really obvious horrible attitude and customer service that immediately threw me). So I say, then maybe I won’t come back here and she like whatever I don’t care attitude. I am literally in the doorway stunned and say– you should be appreciative to have people’s business, call her a jerk and walk out. She is just looking down & texting or something. This is surprising treatment after spending money at a place of business, no???
Now I am pissed I contributed my $ 10 to their business, I wished I had just ordered Zona Fresca like my son… I didn’t even want to eat the stupid Thai after such a shitty negative energy exchange…
But I did eat it because I paid for it and I was hungry and wanted Thai. It was good. As tempting as it is to lie and say it wasn’t good, I cannot and will not. I try to live my life with integrity at every turn… It was certainly not really spicy though, which I was super disappointed about. But it had light flavor and the veggies with the fried tofu seemed fresh.
Will I go back? absofuckinglutely not ever… Had it been a great experience, like I remember from 20 years ago, I could have again been a repeat customer. The chubby girl at the counter could literally give a shit about customer service or ever having my business again. I believe in voting with your dollars and will never spend my money there again. The food defiantly was not worth it at all. It was good, not great, not amazing, just basic and not fucked up.
Portions — 20 years ago this exact order would have lasted me 2 or 3 meals OR enough for me and a friend to share with some leftover. I ate this order in one sitting tonight. The portion was small.

Not very good. Ingredients didn’t seem fresh, it was greasy, just nothing redeeming about this place. Disappointing.

Still in love, when they closed for a month i wanted to die. I order once a week from them– their my lunch treat and I’ve gone through all their noodle dishes. Got all my coworkers involved now too.

Best chicken pad Thai that I’ve had since I went to Thailand! Hidden gem of Ft Lauderdale.

This place is tucked into a strip mall beside a pizza place and a sushi place. We were extremely surprised when we walked in, as it only has one table and a few seats outside. Having just arrived in town, we ordered from their menu. The gentleman taking our order was not happy to see us as we interrupted the game he was playing on his phone. We attempted to greet him in a friendly manner, but he just seemed rather upset all in all. We placed our order and sat down to wait, and were never acknowledged again until someone else brought our food out. We decided to eat outside and found the food was amazing! Everything was well seasoned and well cooked. A patron of the pizzaria next door summed up our visit perfectly. When she asked if the food was good, we told her yes, and her response: «It looks so dismal in there you would never know…» perfectly reflected our feelings. Though you can eat on the premises I would really recommend ordering food to go or just having them deliver. That way you don’t have to put up with a bad attitude for amazing food.

I’m not sure if this place even deserves 1 star for the most horrible customer service I have ever received in my life! We decided to order from here since it had some great reviews and wasn’t very far. I must have had a really disgruntled worker or something because I’ve never had someone speak to me so rudely over nothing! When I told him my location (about 2 blocks away) he insisted that he had no idea where that was. So I gave him directions. I asked if there were any discounts or specials, he started going off about how he couldn’t run a business if he gave away stuff for free and then he hung up! I honestly thought we were disconnected since it cut off in the middle of him talking so I called back. He answered the phone again and was immediately annoyed. I tried to place my order one more time and he even asked for the address again when I was done ordering, but then this jerk said I had to order more food because gas was too expensive to deliver such a small amount. Did I mention that I was only 2 blocks away? Then he hung up on me AGAIN! Every time I read reviews like this, I always give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt because I never think that any place would just be rude to customers without any reason or instigation, especially since I work in customer service. Well, now I know better :(

Solid Thai takeout that we luckily stumbled upon after most places were closed. The storefront is kind of hilarious. It’s a super tiny office with a single desk, where a female employee was taking phone orders. She was really nice and we didn’t wait long for food. We had the Pad Thai, spring rolls (very fresh), and red curry. While nothing really stood out, it was overall really good. Have a craving for Thai takeout? This place should hit the spot. Their name says it all.

After a long road trip from Orlando we were starving and decided to get some take out from here since we were staying fairly close. What a rip off! Greediest Thai restaurant I’ve ever been too! The portion of food are not worth the cost. Food was just ok. Will not be coming back here.

Just ate here for the first time and its great! I love spicy food so the first thing I asked when I called to place my order was «What do you have that’s spicy?» and she replied that none of the items are particularly spicy BUT they can make it spicier upon request. They did just that! I got the chicken thai red curry and it was perfect. I also ordered the spring rolls that were really great and the crab rangoon which was… interesting but it kind of reminded me of a soupy cole slaw filling (won’t order that again and the only reason why I didn’t give them a 5 star). The prices are amazing and the delivery wait time was good.

The food is great and authentic as it comes The coconut shrimp soup is heavenly. I always get the large serving. Spring rolls are solid, and the red or green curry is awesome. Very fresh ingredients. Trying pad thai tonight. I know this is many thai goers litmus test, so let’s see how the family reacts. Prices are very reasonable. This thai restaurant has the North side locked down!

Great take-​out Thai food at a great price! I’m a proprietor of a local business and my patrons have ordered here often and they are always happy with the food!

Food is ok.
This may be a coincidence but 1 week after I gave my credit card info over the phone to this place my card was counterfeited and used in a foreign country. I rarely ever use this card because 90% of my purchases are on my Amex but they only took visa/​mc.
I’ll probably order from them again because it’s convenient and cheap but I will only pay cash.

Pad see ew is no good. Panang curry is fairly good with shrimp and the wonton soup is really really good and authentic! Still a little on the pricier side, which is to be expected on A1A. I think it’s a hit or miss depending on what you get. Seems like their curries are better than their noodle dishes. I was really looking for some good pad see ew :(

This place really isnt too bad at all for thai food to go. id give the 4 stars but my standards are high.
Basil chicken /​beef dishes are always a safe bet. Their fried rice is also pretty good.
They do deliver and are always friendly, all in all not a bad place for to go orders

My wife is Thai and always craving good Thai food. We ordered a couple times, and the food was very good. Let us know about accurate delivery time, guy was nice. Very good place for take out. Would eat there again. BTW, ate there about 5 years ago and was very good as well.

This restaurant used to be really good in the past. Large portions of great food for not a lot of money.
Our last trip turned out to be the worst.
They had cut their menu down to two pages, there was one of the older menus on the table and we compared the two, this one had at least four pages.
When we commented about the downsized menu, we were told that the management had changed. We also noted that the prices rose about 20%, the portions were smaller, and the food was, for lack of better terms, lackluster and blah.
Needless to say, that was the last time we go back to Thai To Go.
