Stopped here to get my dad a bag of coffee. I wanted a local place, instead of a boring bag of Starbucks. The beans are roasted on site, which means they are super fresh. I figured I would try a latte too. The almond milk latte was delicious! I loved that there was a non-dairy option for the coffee and the organic sugar was very good. The guy who owns this place is very nice and happy to any questions you have. I will definitely come back. It’s clean and the coffee is great. Can’t ask for more.

Steven the Owner is wonderful. He selects the best green coffee beans around as they are picked in their harvest seasons. Great roasts, flavors, and a nice setting. There is a Holy Mackeral with Calusa Coffee infusion coming out. It’s dynamite too!

If you love coffee, then you need to stop into Calusa! Not only do the have some of the best coffee in town but Steven the owner is always a pleasure to talk to. He roasts his own beans so the flavor is always at its peak. I recommend Calusa and would give it more stars if I had the option to.

When you come to Calusa Coffee Roasters, you’re not just stopping in to grab a bag of coffee beans, or a freshly made cup of coffee. You are getting the opportunity to chat with Steven and watch his eyes light up with passion as he talks about his newest adventure in the coffee world. He is an all around great guy and he’ll enthusiastically answer any questions that you have about coffee. He roasts his coffee beans on-site and has many different flavors from Orange Blossom, Mocha Java, Columbian, Ethiopian, Brazilian, and more. Let me tell you, we buy our whole beans from Steven now that we’ve discovered Calusa. The flavors and quality are amazing. Our latest discovering is that Sunday is roasting day, so on Mondays you can expect a variety of coffee bean flavors available. The prices for bags of coffee beans range from $ 11-$ 15. He makes cups of coffee and espresso drinks here too. So skip those chain coffee houses and come support your local business!

Hands down the BEST coffee in south Florida if not the entire southeast! I have been to all the popular coffee shops throughout south Florida… not naming names… but you MUST visit Calusa Coffee Roasters for mind blowing coffee(roasted in house). The shop is located in a strip of small businesses off commercial blvd before you hit 95. I would have never found this place if I had not been looking for locally roasted coffee. When you step in the door you are greeted by the owner/roaster/coffee connoisseur Steve. He’s such a kind person and loves to chat, which gives the place a very warm and inviting atmosphere. He is also willing to discuss the coffee roasting process or any questions you may have about the different types of beans, their source, flavors, and brewing methods. It’s all very interesting. So definitely ask him! If you are a coffee snob this is the place to be ;) I live and work all over South Florida and this is hands-down the best coffee around! You can go in for a quick drink or stick around in one the indoor/outdoor tables… definitely bring a friend and enjoy the view of the coffee roaster and the different coffee artifacts from Costa Rica.

I’ve been to probably 100 coffee places including throughout Italy and New York. This is the very best place for espresso drinks. My very highest recommendation. Very cool owner who knows how to make cappuccinos like few Americans and they rotate espresso blends for variety.

Excellent coffee. They roast their own beans and put a lot of passion into their product. It felt good to support this local business. I had a tasty espresso that put me on the right track for the rest of the day.

Calusa Coffee Roasters is my local coffee roaster of choice. Steve, the owner, is a fantastic guy and always serves me up espresso just the way I like it! I come here each week to pick up a new batch of freshly roasted beans that are always roasted with love and care. He roasts every Sunday so rest assured no matter what you decide to take home it’s guaranteed to be fresh! I’ve made everything from French press to cold using his coffee and am always satisfied with what I get! Not only are the coffee beans fresh and flavorful, but Steve always keeps a wide variety on hand. Whenever I’m picking up beans I always get something to drink and hang out for a bit. You can tell Steve loves coffee by how flavorful each cup he brews up for you is! In addition to having great coffee beans, and serving up great coffee, Calusa Coffee is a really nice spot to hang out for a bit and talk with some locals. The vibe is great and really brings you back to the ‘Old Florida’ feel. I encourage you to buy your coffee beans from Steve at Calusa Coffee or stop by and have a cup of some seriously flavorful Joe!

Went here yesterday. Coffee roasted onsite. Cute little shop just east of I95 on North Side. 1. Coffee Roasted onsite 2. Owner digs what he is doing(the noble pursuit of coffee) 3. Cute little spartan shop.(no frills just coffee) which is fine with me who needs those sugar filled tasteless pastries at the big franchise So drink coffee and seize the day!!!

Espresso and latte win! Take it from this Seattle-raised coffee snob: this roasted on site beanery makes real coffee. Calusa is worth the detour from all other coffee places! Friendly service too makes this coffee site a pleasant stop. Just don’t be in a hurry — Calusa operates on island time yet you’ll leave wired with caffeine.

I wandered in to Calusa Coffee with my boyfriend, who was looking for something unique for a friend. We met the owner and he was super nice and approachable — he talked to us at length about the flavor profiles of his various roasts, offered to personally keep us posted on new varieties, and gave us some excellent background info about the business and his history with coffee. I loved how personal the experience was. I really felt like we were supporting a true local business. Additionally, the latte he made us was AMAZING(I guess that part is important when you’re reviewing a coffee shop, right?). He just started serving coffee/espresso by the cup(previously, you could only buy it by the bag). The place itself is small, cozy, and nothing too fancy. I would definitely go back!

I wanted to pick up a bag of coffee as a gift and decided to pop into Calusa Coffee for the first time — really glad we did, because this place is awesome! I love the location and the inside is really comfy and inviting with lots of art on the walls. As luck would have it, they just opened up the Calusa Café, so we got to enjoy an amazing cappuccino(seriously one of the best I’ve ever tried!) while I decided on which coffee to buy. I ended up buying a bag of the Orange Blossom, which — from the outside of the bag — smells so good that I’m tempted to not give it as a gift… We’ll definitely be back soon.
