Great food. Great price. Convenient location. If you’re around Fort Lauderdale, check out the Jerk Machine. Recommend the curry chicken and curry goat. Jerk chicken didnt quite meet expectations, otherwise would have given it a 5.

the service was nice, the prices were fair. but the food LACKED heat(temperature) and Spices! the jerk chicken and cabbage was lukewarm. I wish there was a place that sold authentic Jamaican food like i got in Jamaica.

This my first time eating at this location and so far the food is good. Parking is not so bad. The jerk chicken was good but I think most of the seasoning come from the sauce there wasn’t much on the chicken itself but all in all everything was good.

The Jamaican pattys are delicous and the fried bread things are good. I like this place for a quick bite to take out. Zero tacos here.

The taste is good but it was only warm! We came in right efore closing, so maybe thats got a plate full of bones and sauce for $ 13(oxtail and goat curry with rice and peas) The service was terrible too! That lady behind the counter with the big fake lashes is terribly rude. I am still hungry on top of it!

I ate here for the second time yesterday on my lunch break. I always get my food togo. The first time my visit was pretty pleasant except for the cashier who was more worried about the tip the person before left her then cashing me out. I have ordered both time the jerk chicken, rice and peas and salad. I also always get a spicy beef patty. It comes out to be around $ 10. The food is okay nothing special but it does the trick when I am craving real food on my lunch breaks. My last visit her yesterday I came to realize that the customer service is lacking. Same lady as last visit didn’t really seem like she wanted to help me. As if I was disturbing by coming in. I don’t think I will be going back.

Food is amazingly good here. My BF and I have been eating here for a while, but today we brought my cousin and her kids from out of town because she s missing ethnic food. I have to say these people can never do wrong. The food is so good my review isn’t doing it justice. You have to eat here to understand. From the service to the food everything is great! We like fancy places that comes with a high price tag, but here it’s not the fancy presentation that keeps us coming back. To think we were going to take my cousin to a fancy place to make her have a good time was so awful. She had such a great time. The kids were getting their hands dirty and I was not taking a minute to breathe

As far as finding GREAT Jamaican food in a super casual environment(it’s literally a cafeteria style counter, see what you want, pick what you want, and stay or go) this place is excellent. Service was very friendly, portions are huge, even the small! And the Curried Goat that I had was outstanding. I will be back, probably every week, to try everything else…

Omigosh I ate the whole thing! I didn’t mean to, I was hoping that I would leave some for tomorrow’s lunch, but it was just so good. There was a line when I arrived at about 1:30. You order at the right hand side of the counter and pay at the left, and the line moves quickly. I went for my barometer for Jamaican food, which is the chicken curry(lunch special for $ 5.99). Though in hindsight I should have gone for the brown chicken, because it looked so good. Be prepared if you are a fusspot eater — the stews come with bone and skin on, which in my opinion makes it all the more delicious but which grosses some people out. When they ask if you want extra gravy say yes(always), the rice more than soaks up all that deliciousness. The balance between spices and heat was just perfect although I am used to a little(LOT!) more heat. The rice was nicely steamed and the cabbage just fresh out of the kitchen so it was just that little bit crunchy. Happy to find something near enough to work to make it there and back within the hour and also have time to run some errands. Eating on Las Olas can hit the pocket pretty hard. Looking forward to going back.

I live in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and after driving around the area I ran across The Jerk Machine. Weeks after finding it I finally tried it out yesterday, after entering I noticed how clean the restaurant was. I am also very big on customer service and was happy that the lady working there greeted me as soon as I entered. I ordered the Oxtails with rice and beans and cabbage as my two sides and I must say everything was delicious. I got the large portion because the regular size looked too small but here it is day two and I have leftovers. This will definitely be my new spot when I’m in the mood for Jamaican food.

I used to be a regular here, but poor customer service has turned me away. The server with the long hair in the hair net and fake eyelashes told me that I can no longer order what I ordered every time I previously bought food here. I have also noticed reduced portion sizes, and now the last two times they charged me $ 8.50 for the veggie meal, despite their menu board indicating that the price is still $ 8. I always order the veggie meal. You get a vegetarian entrée and some sides for $ 8. Usually they have two to three different vegetarian entrees to select from. The prices of the meat entrees vary by what meat you select, but all veggie entrees are the same price, regardless of which you pick. Every time I used to go to Jerk Machine, I order half of the chickpea curry and half of the soy chunks. In other words, I am getting the same amount of food as someone who orders just one entrée, but I get half of one entrée and half of another. It was actually a worker at the restaurant who first suggested that I order this way, and I’ve been doing so ever since, until November, when a different worker(with the over-the-top fake eyelashes) told me that this method of ordering was not allowed. I asked her why this was suddenly not allowed, when even she had been serving me this meal for months. She said she wasn’t supposed to serve me this meal, but she did it to be nice. So I told her, «Ok, if there’s a problem, then just give me the chickpea curry only.» Then even more baffling than her refusal to serve me what I always order, is when she replied,“There’s no problem,” and she served me the meal I requested. She charged me $ 8.50 despite an advertised price of $ 8. I used to spend around $ 100 a month in their store, but the last two times I went there, they treated me like I wasn’t a valued customer. I thought about trying to talk to the manager, but you know what, I’m not going to struggle to be treated well. There are better Jamaican restaurants out there with bigger portions and staff that are focused on good customer service. My black coworker who always goes to this restaurant with me says the reason this place doesn’t like me is probably because I’m white. I used to think the problem was that they didn’t like me because I used a coupon. They did seem very annoyed and almost reluctant to accept the coupon. But honestly, I don’t know what the reason is that they can no longer serve me what I’ve been ordering for months. I just know that I won’t be spending my hard-earned money here anymore.

Wow, I love Jamaican and this hits the spot. The veggie dishes are incredible, oxtail is perfection, and the fish is the best in the area. I go throughout South Florida for food from Sonjas patties on Killian pkwy to west palm. This is my go to ! Great people and better food. Yes they have jerk and patties but the aloo and veggie chunks are incredible. Try something different and ask them how they’d eat it and you are in for a treat!

Probably the best Jamaican food I’ve had here in South Florida. The Curry Chicken & Oxtail is delicious & prepared to perfection. Worth every dollar you spend there. The staff is great & very quick when ordering to go. Highly recommend the Jerk Machine to anybody that likes Jamaican food.

This location consistently kills it with rustic curries, housemade patties and jerk chicken/pork with the perfect amount of spice. Service is usually very friendly. If picking bones and twigs out of your stew or eating off styrofoam plates makes you finicky, take a pass. More for the rest of us…

Been coming here for years, followed them to the new location and I swear it gets better every time I go. The quality of chicken and portions are amazing. Always great flavor on everything Had the jerk chicken plate with legs and thighs, red beans and rice added some gravy. That was a first and DANG was that a good call by the nice lady who I forget her name. Plantains were solid as always. Cabbage as well. The surprise that I never thought or remember them having is the jerk pork. HOLY grail! Jerk pork belly!!! Don’t ask just get and offer the chef your second born. New location is great spot in down town.

I stumbled upon this place while on the way to Publix. We wanted to get something for lunch and then I did a U-turn when I saw this place. It is located near the train tracks downtown, near a rundown looking Kwik Mart. We decided to adventure in. Once inside, the place was very big and clean. There were tons of tables(mostly empty). The staff was super friendly and polite. They showed us everything they had to offer that day, which included curry oxtail, chicken etc. We noticed they had a lunch special for $ 5.99 until 3:00. We asked if we could still order it even though it was almost 3:30 and they said yes. It came with a main dish, and 2 sides. The lady served a huge portion of curry chicken, rice and beans and plantains. Since I wasn’t hungry, we were going to share it and I am glad we did because she had a very heavy hand! We also ordered a beef patty, for practically $ 1 we couldn’t say no. We sat down to dig in and finished the plate. It was so delicious! Not too spicy, but just enough flavor to give you a kick. The portions were huge and the staff asked us how we liked it. They also had some unique sodas but we didn’t try any this time. I am glad to have tried this place! There are not that many Caribbean places in the area, so I will be back for more!

I would of given 5 stars because the food is incredible, the counter service is good and i WILL put it on the lunch rotation. Why not 5 stars? Portions where good but not huge, could of used some additional sauce(i did take out so could not go back), no options for non spicy food lovers(so my wife will not go back) and no unsweet fresh tea.
