Food is always good when you dine-​in! But today the restaurant was disgusting enough for me to actually write a comment! Its called a broom and spot sweeping. Every table had trash on it. You’re talking about 2 minutes of effort. Makes people wonder how clean the kitchen is where you prep and cook the food…

Wifi didn’t work, bathroom had no paper towels, some tables were dirty, mango tea had strange chemical taste, and food was only so-​so. Portions are very small for the price you pay. Service wasn’t exactly slow, but was somewhat unorganized. Would not recommend this location at all.

We did not actually eat there. My wife & I stayed a night at the hotel across the street for our cruise starting the next day. We walked across to Pollo Tropical. We walked in, looked around then looked at each other. Both of us said no, We are NOT eating here. The place was filthy. Trash and food around and on the condiment counter and on the floor. The booths were not clean. Our thought is that if the dining area is not clean, what is the kitchen like? We walked down rt 17 to the shopping area to Duffy’s and had an excellent meal… AND the place was CLEAN!

Went here for first time today upon recommendation of another. I had the 2 breast chicken platter with a caesar salad and yellow rice with vegetables and black beans. The chicken was moist and very tender. I selected the curry mustard sauce and it was amazing. It also came with a roll and the total price was $ 7.49. All I can say is I love this place. I will return many times. The staff was also very nice. I am so glad I found this place. I will say that I do love chicken breasts but these were exceptional.

No matter how much you think you want it, it is not worth it. Slow service, poorly prepared food, rude staff, and dirty restaurant. In the past couple months it has gone downhill so drastically that I can’t even begin to recount all the crazy experiences.
I can say this, if the employee tells you she shouldn’t have come into work that day while treating you like you are making her life miserable while you wait in line for food, leave. They don’t want your business.

The worst service I think I’ve seen at a fast food place. Wow. I only come here because it is close to my job. The line is always ridiculously long with one cashier taking orders. And the line to wait for your food to come out is even longer. This place is nuts. You would think after all the people I hear complaining out loud about the service, that something would have been done by now. Avoid this place if you have other eating options in mind.

I thought the first time I ate here the food was just so good because I was super hungry. The trolley driver recommended it and it was very close to the hotel we were staying at prior to a cruise. A return visit this year showed that just have really good food at a really reasonable price. Considering how much I travel and eat out, those two points are important to me.
Service is iffy. Ordered 3 meals and only one of them had everything specified when it was ordered. It helps that mine was the correct order, but good food triumphs over all. Even the other people in my group went on about how good it was.
I stand by any place that has good food

The food is good, but i prefer the sunny isles location better with seating and cleanliness. Happy to be here.

My brother in law got a tropichop to go and he said it was good but they forgot the spoon if you’ll believe that! Psssshhhh.

Consistently horrible! I’ve tried on several occasions and they either get my order wrong or it’s not good! Pic of my recent disappointing visit where I ordered a chicken quesadilla wrap that literally fell apart in my hand!!!

Good food, very reasonable prices. The customer service isn’t the best, which is why I knocked it a star. But I have enjoyed this a couple times while on vacation in Fort Lauderdale. I would recommend this place.

This is the worst pollo tropical. They are rude, argue with each other and have no sense of customer service! No smiles, no please no thank you. Horrible

I wanted jerk chicken. We don’t have jerk chicken at many places in Illinois. I was disillusioned into believing this was the place to go.
There was a kindhearted homeless man standing at the entrance staring us down as we pulled up in my Boss’s Lincoln. He held open the door while politely asking for money. We declined his request.
The cashier misunderstood all of out orders and we ended up just taking whatever she gave us in order to avoid the argument. She was less than friendly or accommodating. I would not recommend this location unless it was the last place on earth to get chicken.

I have been here three times in the past 3 months. Each time I have been there I have done drive through. When I get home all three times my order had been completely incorrect. My receipt is correct the food is incorrect. I don’t think I will be back at this location.

How does pollo tropical run out of chicken? Then mess up your order & be extra rude!!! I called the 1800 number on the receipt before due to how rude the workers at this location were once as I was dining in. They sent me coupons & the manager called me a week later offering a free meal. But after my experience tonight with Marilyn at the drive thru. I will never use this location again ! I will drive 30 min to the next location because I’ve never seen anything like this !

Well we thought food was good. Although the beggar at the front door. Not so good. It was a fri nite. The cops came and removed him while we were eating. We love the chicken, ribs and pork. Nice place to grab a bite while on vacation. Pretty good for fast food.

I was warned not to try this pathetic Latin fast food restaurant. Of course, I did anyway. lol
I spent almost $ 10 on a crappy little salad and soft drink. Service was slow and the place was dirty. Mostly lettuce and very little chicken on the salad. I had to ask for more dressing as well. Next time I will hit the accelerator as I pass this place

With help from a friend, I finally stopped at this joint that I have passed by for years!
…SO glad I did! Such a great option for passing by any other fast food. They serve fresh grilled chicken — not just parts! They are putting whole chicken on a fire grill, then chopping them to order. No fries, just beans and rice, fried plantains, and yuca. there is a salsa bar where you can get garlic mojo (sauce) and various hot sauces. nummy!

If you’re a tourist and looking for «fast food», opt for Pollo Tropical b/​c it’s «local» fast food, plus their website says their chicken is fresh (never frozen) & hormone-​free, and citrus-​marinated & grilled on an open flame. They’ve also got a pretty wide selection of choices — from sandwiches to dinner combos, and non-​chicken choices, too. And prices are reasonable, too. We got sandwiches and a couple sides — total was just under $ 25 for 5 people.
3 of us got the Chipotle BBQ sandwiches ($ 2.79) which I thought was pretty dry & sadly not spicy at all — but my parents thought it tasted pretty good. My sister & her husband got the Cuban wraps ($ 2.79) which they said was good. Honestly the best dish and group favorite turned out to be the Beans & Rice ($ 3.29 for large size) — flavorful & light. Curly fries ($ 2.69 for large) were ok but nothing special — tasted no different than Arby’s version.
They do have a cool sauce bar — with flavors like guava BBQ, mustard curry, cilantro cream, salsa, etc.
