This restaurant is my favorite breakfast to go to location in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I love how the location is off the grid, and the food is on point. I cannot speak on the lunch special, but as far as breakfast, go for the Jet specials/favorites on the menu.

I work next door. We always order a few take out at a time. The meal is always hot and order is correct. Very important to us since our break time is limited. Great food and the few times I’ve gotten to actually to sit down, service was on point. Great place. Enjoy the view ;)

Scrumptious oatmeal with fresh berries, brown sugar and raisins. Unique view of airport with 4-seater planes. Extremely friendly, patient service. Ample parking in private lot. Reasonable prices. Will definitely bring visitors in the future!

I have never actually been to the location(although I plan on going very soon, it’s close to home), the company I work for gets food from here delivered often. I always opt for the crispy goat cheese salad. It’s to die for. I love the toast that comes with it. It’s delicious. Probably my all time favorite salad. I need to stop in soon for the atmosphere and the breakfast!

Not afraid to give this one 5 amazing stars! Tucked away between a few hangers at Ft. Lauderdale Executive airport, the Jet Runway Café is cleared for takeoff! Great brunch menu with plenty of options and huge portions of top notch goodies. Fast, friendly service brings your food to your ramp side table with views of the runway, great for kids like mine who can’t get enough airplanes!

Great little restaurant tucked away on the runway of a small airport. Great food and service. Had the steak and eggs and it came with a coffee cake or bread pudding of some sorts. I ate mine and my wife’s since she’s GF. Awesome. Would come back if I’m in Fort Lauderdale again.

Went to eat breakfast with my son. This was his first time eating at this restaurant. I normally come here for lunch. It was not crowded! We were sat in about 3 mins. However waited about 10 mins before our waitress even acknowledged us. Then it appeared that everything would go smoothly once our waitress Angela took our order. Will we waited about 25 mins for Frenchtoast and eggs. Once we got our food it was delicious however our waitress Angela never came back to check on us at all not even to make sure we had everything, never came back for a refill on our drinks and I even had to call her over for our check. Now I eat out often and I am a big tipper based on service. I am a huge believer in good service equals good tips. I really like eating at Jetrunway but they need to re-train this particular waitress. I have eatin here for lunch and she was rude to our party of 9. I thought she was having a hard day but now I understand it may be a personality issue. Resturants have to understand that it takes the customers to keep the business running. One voice can often equal many. You never know who you are serving. I am giving 4 stars because the food was delicious.

We ate breakfast recently. The food was great, portion sizes were very generous, the fried bread pudding as a free side was yummy and the service was excellent.

How cool, eating with the pilots, jet setters, captains, and general aviation owners while watching the planes come and go… Made me feel like I was five years old again wanting to learn how to fly. Food was excellent, larger portions than expected, well played and tasty. Not sure what the magic ingredient is in the tomato soup, but it was thick rich, slightly sweet and not too acidic. Maybe some truffle oil on top? Not sure, but I want to drink a gallon of it! I had a sandwich, filled with macaroni and stuffed with pulled pork. Haven’t had something this good since the days I would follow the food trucks around So Cal in the earlier days of 2012. My date had a grilled cheese that, if I could make on my own, would instantly guarantee me a marriage proposal. Yup, that good. The only downside is, afterwards I wanted to take a nice long nap… Not a Problem for me… But what about all those pilots just about to fly off to someplace distant and exotic? Staff was affective and knowledgable and the menu was full of delicious options.

I ate here yesterday morning after running a 5k and I was interested in breakfast. I went with somebody. the café was not very busy at this time, it was probably 11 a.m. The staff is amazing. they are fast and very nice. the atmosphere here is great too because the café is surrounded by windows. you can watch the jets taxi in and out! i ordered a «first class» breakfast which consists of skirt steak, eggs, could cook the way you like, potatoes or grits, toast, and their famous bread pudding. this dish was amazingly tasty! it is $ 12.00 but its steak and eggs. it is worth it. the food tastes delicious.

Runway Café had a very loud setting. It was a small space with a lot of talking customers and clanking dishes. So, alas, I had a very hard time hearing my husband during a conversation we were attempting to have before our meals arrived. That all being said, the food was exceptional and the service was just fine. I had the pretzel bun turkey sandwich, which was exactly as I had pictured it when I read the menu description. Each item on the sandwich could be tasted in each bite. The turkey sandwich came on a pretzel bun(duh!) and had cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce and honey mustard! Mmmmmm! I ordered it with broccolini. The broc came charred– which was delicious!!! I love food items(especially vegetables) well done. There was one disappointment: after checking into Runway Café, I was offered a coupon for free cookies. When I showed the offer to my waitress she said she would check into it. She then returned and stated that«they ran out» of the free cookies. Hmmm, I wonder if they would have been available had I wanted to pay for them instead? Just saying, it seemed a little sketchy! Maybe don’t have check in offers if it is impossible to follow through with them? Just a thought.

1⁄18 — So excited when my friend suggested we came here for lunch. The restaurant is located in an airport warehouse right at the runway! We were greeted right away and sat in a booth with the spectacular view of the runway. It feels like your vacation. It has a very nice vibe. I was impressed by all the menu options and that it was surprisingly affordable. I ordered the Crispy Goat Cheese Salad(14.5), Blackened shrimp, spinach, candied pecans, strawberries, blueberries, balsamic vinaigrette. I could not finish it all but I was determined, it was sooo good! I can see myself coming back here and ordering something different like their Burger, Tacos or Salmon. It was so nice seeing the planes land and take off as the pilots waved goodbye… TAKEMEWITHYOU!!!

This is my go to lunch spot when I have a business lunch and I’m at the office. There are not too many quick /great quality lunch places nearby — either they are at least a 2 hour lunch with good food or a quick lunch with average fare. Thankfully Jet offers an amazing lunch and it’s quick. This place is right on the runway of Ft Lauderdale executive airport. It’s not an incredibly busy airport location but every once in a while you’ll see a flight land or take off right outside the window. Atmosphere is like an upscale diner, nothing fancy, and extremely clean and comfortable. The food here is incredibly good. I LOVE their tomato bisque soup with grilled cheese — it used to be a special but now it’s on the menu every day. The silver lining salad is another favorite — it has mixed greens with candied pecans, chicken, mandarin oranges, blue cheese and balsamic dressing. As far as entrees go the honey lime salmon is delicious and light as is the herb marinated chicken. I believe they are also open for breakfast. At night they open for catered events.

Lunch on a frickin’ runway? How did it take me so long to get here? Coming in for a power meeting, I was a little shocked how packed they were. There was a little wait, but after about 10 minutes were snagged a table right next to the window. This restaurant is literally located ON a runway. Not near a runway… ONIT. Large windows line the walls of the dinning room, overlooking the main runway. While the food was good, I’d say this is the biggest attraction here. Planes(small ones) are taking off as you eat… I can’t think of another experience like this. Meat loaf with mashed — Whenever I see meatloaf on the menu, I can’t help but order it. I was really happy chowing down on this since it had been a pretty long time since I had meatloaf. It was a tad bit salty, but overall super solid. It was served over a bed of mashed potatoes. The service was great. Fast and super nice. We checked in on Unilocal for a free cookie — which we took to go, and my co-workers left in my car… so I ate them all. Score! If you haven’t been here yet… I suggest you«fly» here harharhar.

I had the pleasure of dining here for lunch this past Saturday with a work colleague and her daughter. It’s a spanking clean restaurant that has a 1950’s shiny diner appeal and the additional pleasure of being situated on the edge of the executive runway of a small airport where I imagine the 1 or near 1% can fly their little toys on a whim to go retrieve some narcotics or slaves in a beleaguered 3rd world county. So a clean restaurant, cool location, why 3 stars? Food was good, but good in a just«OK» sorta way. My companion’s daughter certainly scarfed down her salmon that was sitting quite comfy on a pile of yummy looking dirty mashed potatoes, and I did enjoy my 3 cheese grilled cheese and tomato bisque(that was absolutely had home made authenticity in every spoonful) so only my companion was slightly miffed to note her salad with mahi(which she insisted not come blackened) was presented with a… yeah, blackened mahi. She was also unable to join daughter and I in immediately eating her portion as the salad came without dressing and our waitress was a bit slow in bringing it to the table. And that’s inevitably why the 3 stars — really slow and inattentive service in a relatively un busy restaurant — that coupled with food that was just OK and not outstanding isn’t unforgiveable, but I can’t see a better review and doubt I’d return; however for an unusual location or for some aviation lover — I’d certainly recommend it.

Having lunch with my BPB Brother Blue(Triple B!) is always an adventure. I love checking out spots I’ve never heard about in Fort Lauderdale. Our experience at Jet Runway Café was certainly no exception! We walked in and had a little bit of a wait. This place is definitely popular for being what I thought was off the beaten path. I will admit my geography of FTL is quite vague. The salads, sandwiches, and entrees all sounded delicious and, in the end, I went with the BBQ chicken flatbread and side salad. The flatbread was all that I hoped it would be! Very thin crust with an ample amount of chicken, cheese, and BBQ sauce on top. The side salad was a very generous portion. With all of that and half the flatbread, I was full; however, I may or may not have ate the second half hours later on my way home. Unconfirmed. The view definitely keeps this place interesting. We saw a couple small airplanes riding around which was fun and an overall nice change of pace. Pro tip: Checking in on Unilocal earns you a free cookie!

Jet Runway Café. A great little café experience situated at the Banyan Aviation hangar at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. Great views of all the airport activity while you dine. Definitely a very cool place. I ordered the Banyan Breakfast — 3 eggs any style, bacon, sausage, with breakfast potatoes or grits and choice of toast. Food was good and my server Angela was excellent making sure the experience was pleasant. If you want to try something different this is the place to do just that. Worth checking out.

«I’ll meet you outside sweetie, I’ll pull the helicopter up front». Entered inside, immediately acknowledged and seated. While I waited for my order, a man and woman enter a helicopter parked on the runway so nonchalant, with nothing but the clothes on their back and her purse, so different to see. Got the tomato bisque to start – robust and delish – followed by the crab cake sandwich. Sandwiches come with either cole slaw, fries, potato chips, or sweet potato fries for a dollar and change xtra which is what I had. It came with lettuce, tomatoes and generous sides of guacamole and tartar sauce. The guac didn’t come to par with me but I liked their tartar sauce; creamy, fresh, not heavy like storebought. The main reason in giving 3 stars is because the crab patty looked and tasted like those from the frozen section. I’m expecting pull-apart crab meat elegantly breaded(and the accurate color of crab meat, not grey), but this looked more like foreign meat compressed together, deep fried. The food came out fast, especially for coming in a little after 1pm, and portion sizes matched the prices; I even had to cut the sandwich in half it was that big! My waitress Johanna was nice and even though it took a bit time to get her attention, it doesn’t denote the low count of stars; seems she works hard. The bathroom occupies only 1, very clean, but the floors of the whole place were very dirty. They do have about 4 TVs inside, one was on CNN. The places tucked in, coming from a winding road, in which you would miss if you weren’t looking, usually offer something unique. Front row to jet planes on the runway is deff not your local Flanigans. But the food has got to match. And this lunch reminded me of my local Flanigans. In spite of my disappointment for the sandwich, I do plan on coming back and giving it another try.
