Waitress was sort of clueless. My chicken noodle soup was horrible. I told her so and she said we get that a lot. .lol but it stayed on my bill! She never checked back til she was dropping off the check so I couldn’t order something else. Won’t be returning to this establishment! !!!

I think I’ve tried them all, and this is the best American/Greek Diner style restaurant in East Fort Lauderdale. The ingredients are always fresh, the service is always sincere, and the food is always cooked properly. They have the best soups and it’s the only place in town that always gives me my eggs the way I ordered them. My only complaint is that they close early and so I can’t eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This place is super clean and great staff for a diner I give it a 5. Service is really fast and the food was good. I had coffee an egg white mushroom and Swiss omelette, toast, and potatoes. This is not breakfast at Harbour Beach but neither is the price!

Came here for a change. …quick tip, dont have the tuna melt. Too much mayo, too little tuna. I’ll stay with the other close option that has great tuna sandwich.

Pretty much a dinner in the traditional senses. We came on a morning flight for a one nighter to be on a cruise the next day & wondered over to this place at a 3pm… Mad rush since it closes at 4pm. I had a BLT which is hard to screw up & my mom had the fish sandwich — she must have been hungry as she wolfed it. No one left much behind. Came to $ 200 for 13 people so not crazy expensive.

Nothing bad to say about this place, but not a whole lot of good either. The staff was friendly and prompt. The food was ordinary diner food, but didn’t really match up to the cost. Kind of a high price for OK food in my opinion.

Food was okay. I split a gyro which they advertise has special tzatski sauce. It was just okay. I asked for an extra plate to split lunch. She brought the extra plate, but they charged us $ 4 to split the plate. I complained, she went to the manager, who should have just let her take it off as the menu I checked on leaving said sharing plate charge can be charged at their discretion. Bad manager. Was $ 20 for one sandwich and a beer to split, king of high priced, but it is the Harbor Shops and near the cruise pier. I would advise if you are splitting to not say you are, and one person order the coke or something and split it yourself. I would not come here again as there are better eateries in the shops.

First and foremost can I say I had heard great things about this place and breakfast is my absolute favorite meal, so I was already exited to eat. It’s Sunday and I understand it gets busy however, the place was pretty dirty and poorly taken care of. Most of not all the waitresses seemed rushed and made me feel as though there was not enough time to ask questions about the menu. I got asked first what I wanted to drink and I had to hesitate because there was no drink menu, being my first time I didn’t know what the options were. So I felt uncomfortable to even ask what the options were cause the waitress seemed bothered by my unsure mind. The food was not bad but not the best breakfast I’ve ever had. 2 greasy scrabbled eggs 3 bacon. Strips and 4 soggy French toast and a cup of milk were definitely not worth the 17 dollars the meal costed. I could have eaten WAY better and WAY cheaper at a Denny’s. I’m sad about this experience and I just hope it was this day that the place was running into trouble. Also the waitress dropped my food off and left me no utensils to eat with :(she didn’t even bother to ask if I needed anything else. Poor service.

If you like raw egg in the«chef’s» second attempt at French toast, this is the place for you. If you find yourself craving a quaint atmosphere, where you’ll be charged the full price of your ooey, gooey, slimy bread mash, look no further. If you gravitated toward the debate team rather than the hospitality team in the high school that you never graduated from, you’ll feel right at home. Because Joe’s «has been in business a long time, honey, and there’s nothing RAW in French toast. It’s just bread.» Always packed with entertainment and new surprises in your food, Joe’s doesn’t disappoint.

Very very good! The eggs benedict is everything I had hoped it would be. The hollandaise sauce is definitely homemade. It was light and had that hint of lemon I was looking for. It’s comparable to the other downtown brunch spots but doesn’t leave you half drunk and your wallet empty. They are very accommodating. My DH wanted lunch at 10:30am and they without hesitation brought over a lunch menu. Also my 8 yr old son wanted to make up his own 1−1−1 breakfast combo and that wasn’t a problem either at a reasonable price of $ 6.95 too. They do not offer the unlimited alcohol drink special but that was not a problem for us. This is more of a family spot. I saw whom I assume is the owner walking around chatting with regulars and making sure everything was on point. Our service was good. The place was packed and we didn’t feel neglected in any way. I will definitely be back.

Why low ratings? I come to this place for 3 – 4 yrs now, and they r still good as from first time. Today decided for a bit lighter breakfast: eggwhite veggie omemette w feta, dry rye. Came out so fast– maybe 5min tops, my green tea was still too hot to drink! Been here for lunch too. Salads r big, generous addition of chicken. My friend loves their rueben. Same wait staff works here for years! Nice seating outside. Nothing to complain… They deserve way more then 3,5 stars!!!

On the positive side, the service was lightning fast. The waitress was very attentive, and although we were the only ones sitting outside, she didn’t forget us. Now for the negative: The food was just okay. The breakfast potatoes lacked seasoning or salt or ANYTHING to makes them taste like something, and they were burnt. The grits, I asked for cheddar, and they put American instead, which really added no flavor to the grits, so it was just bland.

Oy veh, deceived by the Unilocal reviews on this one unfortunately. After some Unilocaly research, we narrowed down our breakfast spot to Joe’s one morning, and all I can say is I wish we had listened to the valet at the hotel and skipped it and gone to the diner down the street. It’s located within an outdoor shopping complex, but has cute little rocking chair seating outside in addition to the restaurant inside. It’s your usual breakfast menu, but the execution was subpar. I got scrambled eggs with grits and toast, and my husband ordered the french toast that was ice cold when it came out. The server admitted that his came up first, and sat for a long time before mine was ready. They weren’t slammed, so this must have been a kitchen issue on timing(or at the very least lack of a warming oven). They remade it and it was fine, but not great. Eggs were rubbery, grits and toast were fine. Server wasn’t the friendliest dude, but was fine and did his job. We’ll hit up Lester’s Diner next time.

If I had to choose one word to describe having lunch at Joe’s it would be uninspired. I had the gyro platter which consisted of a quartered pita, some gyro meat and a greek salad. The pita was standard pita. The meat was not carved from a rotating spit but rather I suspect it is preformed amazingly uniform gyro strips straight off the Sysco/USFuud truck. The salad was mixed greens cut with a ton of chopped iceburg — no romaine to be found. The salad had plenty of feta, but it was not great feta. Not sure why there were green peppers in the salad as that is not standard greek salad fare. The salad was topped off with some kind of tasteless salsa not greek dressing. I saw another review of this place and the writer wasn’t sure what Joe’s was trying to be — a bit greek, a bit diner, a bit short order café — they should focus their menu and work on doing a few things better. Stop stealing menu ideas off the Sysco/USFuud monthly newletter. Cook some real food, not the prefab crap. Service was adequate but cold. The place was not full but all the servers seemed to be busy. Be warned that if you sit inside the kitchen exhaust fan pulls in cigarette smoke from tables outside.

I stopped in here real quick to grab something fast before my massage next store. I only had 15 mins to spare and didn’t want to get fast food. I was anticipating picking up a bagel; however, the waitress said she could pretty much get me anything I needed on the menu in 5 minutes! #hotdamn! So, I landed up ordering an eggwhite and cheese on a bagel and indeed it was out in 4 mins! I scarfed it down, paid my $ 5 and was out of there in no time. I was extremely pleased!!! I am going back to try eating in over 5 mins :)

Joe’s Café is a rather unexpected surprise of a place as it is unassumingly situated between some rather large competing establishments in the Cordova Shopping area at the South end of Cordova Road. I found it to have really good, friendly service as well as some decent food at a reasonable price. There is never a problem getting breakfast at most any time of the day with my favorite being their Eggs Benedict at $ 8.95. Joe’s also has a good selection of Greek, such as hi Mediterranean Kebobs, served either as beef, shrimp or chicken, as well as his Souvlaki or Gyro Platter. Joe’s burgers come as ½ pounders made up from Black Angus, but with Gilbert’s, which sporting a Unilocal Sticker on their wall(formerly on their front window) being located so close by, I am usually drawn to them when it comes to my burgers needs. However, I go to Joe’s when in the area for breakfast, Calamari(particularly good), or anything Greek, especially since he has a rather pleasant outdoor seating area which Gilbert’s doesn’t.
