All you cant eat is a scam, wait 1 hour for the first buck and the second buck (just two pieces) 1 more hour.

Worst service ever ordered food before tables we seen come in they got there food before us waited an hour for a margarita drink one at that will not return food was alright !

I will never go back!!! Service sucks out of control table with yelling and screaming adults food came out wrong after telling server food allergies he served it and said it was not a spice… Old Bay is for someone who has food allergies improper cooking after being told that you wanted something well done was told manager stopped it and server did not check back had to run after server for things needed server served 3 out of 4 people and 10 minutes later came the rest… There is not a negative number big enough for the star rating. We have eaten at other Joe’s and it was awesome! NEVER AGAIN!!!

We got the Queen Pot for two & the meat that was inside ALL of the legs were shredded & barely there! The manager did bring two more different types as a comp but besides being aggravated at that point now we have food poisoning… Throwing up & all… Never going back!!!

Just as we walked in they were wishing somebody a happy birthday. One word: LOUD! The place was deserted (at 700pm) but this was on a Monday.
Thinking it wouldn’t be a good experience, we were surprised by our meals; very good and a lot of it.

The customer service was outstanding and our waitress Vanessa was A+. However, the food was just OK. I got the Lobster Daddy prepared «spicy boil». Big mistake. Some parts were too salty, some parts way too hot (peppery). Very little meat in the crab legs. The drinks sounded better than they actually were.

The levels of horrific at the place are amazing. As I write this at the table I have plenty of time since the server dropped off my food and has not been back. It is a Friday at 9PM and not very busy. The greeting was not unfriendly but certainly not welcoming. I sat outside. Again it was not busy and most patrons were eating. I waited five minutes for water and a server. I placed my order for calamari. If you read my other reviews, I have ordered calamari from east to west coast and all points I between. This is why I come to a seafood restaurant. The calamari arrived in a basket with one-​third over cooked and rubbery. That’s what happens when calamari is over cooked. It was served with a hot sauce that was not to my liking. I needed traditional cocktail sauce. I didn’t have the opportunity to share my thoughts about the calamari or request cocktail sauce as the waiter never returned to the table. In order to pay my bill I had to stand up and wave him down. This isn’t a big place. Of course he took forever to return my change. The sign on the place says «Eat At Joes». I suggest it reads «Don’t Eat At Joes!»

Today was a first for me in fours years of reviewing on Unilocal.Someone affiliated with this restaurant in some way took time to create a new Unilocal profile and post a photo of a man and child as the profile picture. They only made one review but with the profile were able to send me a nasty email. I found humor in their approach to my review. I would suggest instead of wasting time being angry at me, they assist Joes Crab Shack in performing better customer service and preparation of food.

Hard to believe the other reviewers are writing about the same restaurant we had the worst meal of our vacation in. A party of eight, our first experience at Joe’s and not one of us will ever go back. Burnt crab cakes, watery drinks, inedible french fries, ugh.
It’s too bad for us this was the last meal of our vacation as we had so many nice meals at other restaurants.
I recommend you try seafood elsewhere.

I have tried to like this place. 3^rd visit. Server was great. friendly. Food, again, was just «ok». my bacon-​stuffed shrimp had barely cooked bacon and very small shrimp and the dirty rice was bland. The thing that bothered me most though was the number of dirty tables around me that stayed that way during my entire visit. It wasn’t as if they were slammed with customers and couldn’t keep up.

Great place and great service. New management has changed things and their food is tasty, consistent and on time.
Their staff is amazing, curious and always remember your name.
I have become a raving fan.

This place was disgusting! Went here for my bday with a few other people and received RANCID QUEEN CRAB LEGS! The smell was terrible. The party at my table was nervous to eat their food. Figuring I would order King crab legs and this would be better… nope came to the table FROZEN. They didn’t charge me of course for the meal that was not edible but they also never brought anything to the table for my bday! [They were told it was a bday celebration prior to my arrival] Anyhow. Never eating here again. God. I hope I don’t get sick.

i took my friend here for his bday dinner per his request. he got the cajun crab boil, i got the crab daddy. we also ordered a calamari $ 2 bite. it was a lot of calamari for $ 2. the service was great. the waiter was super attentive.
we went on a tuesday night and they had a painting class there… that was kinda cool. as a seafood lover — i was happy with my meal. i wish they would have paper towels instead of the hand dryer in the bathrooms. it’s gross to wash your hands and have to touch the door handles before digging into your crabs! :)

They had Wednesdays all you can eat crabs and they meant every word! 8 additional servings! I almost popped! Awesome place for seafood with a sports bar touch!

Only reason they got one star is because the hostess opened the door for us.
First, they had a two piece band that was so loud, the music had physical impact. We immediately turned around, but noticed they had outdoor seating — which was an option on an unusually comfortable night in South Florida. You couldn’t hear the music and the breeze was perfect.
The outdoor area was nearly empty with only 3 tables occupied — for that matter, the inside was nearly empty also. So, I asked to be seated outside. The hostess said there was a fifteen to twenty minute wait. I said «I see 8 empty tables,» and she said «yes, but there is still at least a 15 minute wait.»
Now I have lived in South Florida for a long time and inexplicably bad customer service is the norm. Usually this would not rate a tirade on Unilocal,but I was with my mother who has trouble getting around and she was standing behind me — leaning heavily on her walker. We had already turned around once because of the ridiculously loud music (live music for an empty restaurant) and now we would have to load back up and go somewhere else when we could have been served here easily as there appeared to be ample staff.
So we left. And honestly I was pissed. An empty restaurant so amazingly unfriendly in both atmosphere and attitude — I sit here still shaking my head.
I have been there several times before and probably will go again in the distant future, if they can stay in business providing the experience and service we received tonight. Maybe they are just resting up for upcoming tourist season.

Celebrated my friends new job opportunity and catching up! Great customer service! Food was yummy! Drinks were delicious.

Very average kind of place for laid back seafood. The menu has a variety of seafood buckets, handhelds and salads. Well balanced. We usually sit at the bar. This is because the inside is too cold and the outside is usually too hot. It is Florida, must I remind you. This restaurant gets 3 stars due to much too long of wait for food to come out.

Amazing service from the time we sat down! Brian was a great server and the timing between courses was perfect! Our family will definitely be back!

We love to come to Joe’s Crab Shack because we know we’ll always be happy with our food and drinks… Happy Hour is 4 – 7 pm with $ 3 drinks (hurricanes, Margaritas & draws) and $ 5 bar food selections. We’ve also heard that they have the BEST crayfish in Ft. Lauderdale!!!
Add it to your list of good places to eat!!!

Best French fries I’ve had at a Joe’s.
Usually stay away from fat and fried but fries are a weakness and the occasional treat, so I’m very happy when they are above average.
The drinks on Happy Hour are a bargain, I like the Hurricane and almost always get one on Happy Hour.
