Very nice experience. Josefina provided such a superb experience that I was incapable of complaining that my scallops were over cooked. My husbands Chilean Sea Bass was fantastic. We’ve been here in several occasions and never had a bad meal so I’m chalking up the overlooked sea scallops as a rarity. Plus I received a follow up call from Nina the following day to ensure we had a great experience. We will be back!

This is a real upscale restaurant where the attention to detail is awesome. From the hostess to the servers are very observant and attentative. The manger is very noticeable on the floor and made my Anniversary dinner with my girlfriend quite special. Matheau was our server and he was the best. I really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant with live music and romantic lighting. I will definitely be back soon as it was worth every penny.

This should be renamed Badluck’s! I should have taken the cue when the restaurant was half empty on a Friday night(memorial day weekend). Cannot blame the weekend because Casa D’Angela was PACKED! Why the 1 star? Because there is no option for zero! We dropped $ 212 for two, in which $ 60($ 22 each, plus tax and tip) of it was for the crab appetizer. The crab claw(one tiny one each) came and — NOEXAGGERATION — there was a tablespoon of meat between the two! This was insulting. I told the waitress who then asked ‘do we want more?’. Really? I asked, you mean pay another $ 60 for a teaspoon each? She — without our prompting — pulled the manager over. He gave the impression of a bouncer at a bar, not a customer focused manager. He did nothing. The main courses were terrible. I ordered the GROUPERPONTCHARTRAIN($ 36) and my mom the MISO-GLAZEDSEABASS($ 42). I could not differentiate between the shrimp, crab and fish — it was something i would expect from a cafeteria not a high end restaurant. And the sea bass was equally underwhelming. In the end, i tipped well and paid. The next morning i truly felt insulted. I never in my life considered disputing a restaurant charge — this is having me rethink. The next day i had to make it up to my mother(is was a late mothers day celebration) and we went to Casa D’Angela. Wow, go there! Its elegant, friendly, fantastic customer service, and spectacular food for the same price.

The best time to come here is during happy hour. The bar area does get packed but the food($ 12 for tuna tartare) and drink($ 6 for a glass of cave de Lundy) prices are great. The bar area also has live entertainment(one man singing at the piano) however it gets loud and hard to carry on a conversation while he is playing.

Truluck’s was a great find. Even though they specialize in wine the cocktails were to perfection. Stuffed Lobster tail and Miso Sea Bass were amazing. We were too full for dessert but all of them sounded and looked decadent. Our server was pleasant and informative, the ambiance was romantic, bathrooms were clean and the food wonderful. What more could you ask for?

We are vacationing in the area, and we were looking for a great seafood restaurant. I got the crab stuff lobster and my husband got the grouper pontchartrain. My meal was great and his meal was pretty good. We also got the seafood platter as an app, and every part was delicious! The sauces that come with the platter made it. We sat outside for dinner, which was nice, but after dinner we moved inside to listen to the live music. There were a lot of other couples in the bar area where we listened to music and got dessert. I thought it was really cool to see the wine bottles«on tap» so you could order a glass of wine, and even if the bottle was opened a week ago, the wine was still good.

I hardly ever give 5 stars!!! First went to the bar and had a stoli martini and the fun made us push dinner back an hour. I had placed A call and made birthday reservation. Had the ice seafood tray for 4 people(it’s perfect for 2 people) But the ambiance and staff and cleanliness and the live piano and singer, who I might add were brilliant at it. Not to loud but perfect. So we had Louis as our waiter. Friendly and nice as hell. We sat in a great booth and just lived it up. Don’t get me wrong. It’s going to cost money but it was so worth every penny and more just for the experience. My love had a brilliant birthday. To top it all off… They actually called me the next day to see how my experience was!!! I was so shocked!!! That is a place that cares what it’s doing. I will be back. You guys rocked! And made my night.

Been here many times over the past years and always enjoyed the food, the dining room and the bar area. During my last visit I wasn’t here for dinner(although the seafood here is outstanding). I was merely here to relax over a few glasses of wine before I headed off to another event that evening. The bar area is large and upscale. There is plenty of seating at high-tops and a fair number of seats at the bar. I gravitate toward the bar over high-tops, mostly because I enjoy the interaction/entertainment with bartenders. Also, you can strike up a conversation with another lonely sole at the bar, LOL. Aside from the abundance of seating, there is a plethora of wine choices by the glass. Of course, there is a bigger selection by bottle if you choose. The wine selection is very good and ranges from very affordable to not so affordable. So many options for all types of budget. Usually there is a pianist playing some soothing tunes. Unlike most bars, these bar tenders are super attentive. They are there when you want a drink, but not on top of you while you are enjoying your current drink. I found it awesome that they keep the patrons informed of when happy hour was ending, so you could choose to get another drink if you so chose. Most bar tenders only tell you that you missed happy hour by 1 minute when you order your drink, this place does not. Great way to keep happy customers by being clear on the happy hour times. This is one of my favorite places to hang out at the bar and relax. But I do need to get back here soon for some food.

Having never been a Huge fan of Seafood & having never had Stone Crabs before(living in South Florida, I know) I was truly blown away by my first experience at Trulucks in Fort Lauderdale. The piano player set the tone from the moment we walked in and serenaded us throughout the whole experience with his magical voice. The Fort Lauderdale Locations GM William Salogar has done a phenomenal job over the last year since taking over, and if you haven’t been in a while I strongly recommend you go check them out in East Fort Lauderdale. Went with the Fresh Florida Stone Crab Claws, Served chilled and pre-cracked with a specialty mustard sauce. You can definitely taste how fresh they are, thanks in part to the fishermen they have on the boats right now around Naples. The texture was amazing, and for someone that doesn’t like the«raw/fishy» taste, these were extremely enjoyable even without the yummy Mustard sauce. Also had the Salt & Pepper Calamari which was unlike any calamari I’ve ever had before. Tossed with stir fry vegetables and served with spicy mustard and a sweet Vietnamese chili sauce, the smell of the flavors from the stir fry left my mouth watering and taste buds doing back flips.

It’s a shame we didn’t even get to try any food or drinks because no one served us. We were seated right away with a reservation out on the front deck. There’s not much of a view considering it’s off of a Main Street and in a strip mall. The atmosphere was nice though. We sat down and a bus boy gave us water. Then we waited… 15 minutes went by and no server greeted us. Then a family of 5 sat right next to us and were greeted right away and told the specials, ordered their drinks and even were offered lemon or lime for their water. We waited another 5 minutes and still no sign of a server so we told the hostess we were leaving. The GM was really sorry about the whole situation and did offer to «take care of us» which was nice. But by that point, we were so over it. As a server in the industry, I feel like we were being judged for being a young couple and no one felt the need to wait on us right away… Hate when that happens.

Delivered a solid 4 stars last evening which in my book means that in context, not perfect but better than a lot of the competition. Some real highlights of the evening were the warm service(friendly greeting by the petite hostess upon entry, a pleasant amount of attention by Lori our server, and a walk by check up from their manager at an appropriate time in the service), the live music, the varied wine list(fairly large choices, many varietals, almost all price points, and a non-stuffy approach to wine), the crab tray presentation, and the tasty preparations of fresh seafood. I also liked the clubby atmosphere of the place and the nice effort towards value with their generous happy hour cocktail specials. The only sight markdowns come from a slight feel of chain branding(it is part of an upscale chain after all), calamari that was soggy(but really tasty nonetheless), a crab fried rice that was a little too sweet and vegetal on the palate(it could stand to lose the bell pepper pieces), and a dessert selection that is a bit heavy and pushes chocolate a fair amount. It is not cheap to eat here and my table had a good time. The negatives were minor and were easily eclipsed by all the good things we experienced. I would definitely go back, especially if I’m with my boss so she can pay for it. ;)

We came for happy hour and were really disappointed after eating such a delicious seafood meal at 15th Street Fisheries. Everything looked amazing and while I like exotic food, it seemed that our choices tasted just a little too odd. The smoked tuna tacos seemed to work«at first bite», but the smokiness crept up like an unwanted house fire. The softshell crab lettuce wraps were too greasy. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was the best appetizer… even beating out the pretty ahi tuna tower. The tuna needed more sauce and less seaweed… while aesthetically gorgeous it didn’t taste nearly as good as C Level’s in San Diego. Final disappointment was a Moscow mule that seemed to only taste of ginger beer. Overall, a happy hour should lure you into their restaurant, but sadly this was not the case. Eddie V’s has got them beat by a mile.

We’ve made this location our yearly Valentine tradition. The dishes are exquisite and the service is beyond most restaurants’ efforts. They call you the next day to follow up on their service and our dining satisfaction. Who does that nowadays? The live entertainment at their Stone Crab lounge is sexy and sophisticated. We always arrive early and enjoy a Drink or two before we’re seated. The table breads they serve are a combination of cheesy sourdough, sweet wheat and flat bread crisps. Our appetizer is a show stopper. Chilled shellfish platter. Fresh rock oysters, stone crab claws and blue crab cocktail. My personal fav are the oysters. So freaking fresh. On to our entrees. Normally I go for their miso glazed sea bass. It’s my favorite dish. But this time I opted for their whole snapper filet special. It was prepared so beautifully. All they had to do was flip it open when they brought it to the table. I could’ve eaten the whole thing without any sides or drink. Wow Hubbs went with the chefs filet. 7oz topped with crab meat, shrimp and béarnaise served Over mashed potatoes along with their crab fried rice as an additional side. That crab rice is Da . Our friends opted for the whole snapper as well and the surf and turf. They praised the quality and freshness of their dishes. I think we’ve made ourselves some new fans of this place. The desserts are just as entertaining to hear as well as taste. Our waitress Monica was by far our most delightful and animated waitress. Her description of their chocolate ice cream in a bag dessert had me sold. I don’t remember what all was in it but I sure loved every last bite. A girls’ allowed to forget all the ingredients once in awhile. Once Monica started pouring the chocolate over the ice cream I think I blanked out. The rest was history. Give this location a try. Ask for Monica and give compliments to the chef. They all took such good care of us. Friendly, professional and ever so helpful. See you next year :)

This place is WAY overrated and WAY overpriced for the quality. We had a reservation but opted to sit at the bar instead because the Arizona and Carolina playoff game was on. We had a server for a high top table. She had an attitude, she was not very friendly, engaging or well versed with the menu. She made the experience less fun, it was almost as if we were an inconvenience to her. The oysters were okay, the crab mac and cheese was bland. The salmon was well flavored and cooked but the creamed spinach ŵas seemingly frozen. I won’t be coming back although the management and hostess were friendly.

We came here almost every other Saturday for the best Happy Hour in town, fresh and taste HH seafood appetizers, top shelf cocktails(Jose is the best bartender), excellent and friendly savings. We celebrated our 10 years wedding anniversary early last Saturday, We wouldn’t go anywhere else but here. We had a wonderful 10 years anniversary dinner. Thank you again Trulucks !

To celebrate our 10th year wedding anniversary, we decided to go someplace fancy for dinner. We have visited this Truluck’s almost every other week for happy hours, so why not have our dinners here? We made the dinner reservation at 6pm, but we arrived here at 5pm for happy hour cocktails and appetizers first before our dinner. My wife had her usual long Island Ice Tea and I had my mojito. As always, the cocktails were delicious, and so was the calamari we ordered. I actually do not recall ever having any bad food here. After a few rounds at the bar, the managers came and let us know our table is ready for us whenever we are ready. And when we got to the front desk, the hostess led us to our booth right away. And as soon as we sat down, the water glasses were filled, and bread basket was placed on our table before we even had the time to take a look at the menu. Needless to say, the service was considerate and prompt. Then our waitress came and greeted us. She went over the specials of the evening but we have already studied the menu while we were having our cocktails earlier, and we knew exactly what we were going to have. For starters, we both had their colossal stone crab claws. Why not? We are in the season and we haven’t had any yet this season. They were big, juicy, sweet and delicious. The meat had so much flavor that I barely touched the sauce it came with it. Then I had a bowl of their lobster bisque. They started off by placing a tiny tea spoon of horseradish in the empty bowl. Then the hot bisque was pour over it in the bowl. The soup was very delicious. It had very generous portion of lobsters, and they were soft and tender. The soup with the horseradish added more flavor profile to the soup. And then it’s the main course. My wife had their Stripped Bass topped with lobster and blue crab. The fish was cooked nicely cooked and the skin was very crispy. She had the cream spinach as the side dish and it was delicious too. I had their pan Seared Scallops. The Scallops were huge, and perfectly cooked. I had mash potatoes and it was soft, creamy and delicious. By the time we finished our meals, we were too stuffed for deserts so we just ordered a couple of their French Pressed Coffee. But surprisingly, the managers gave us a complimentary desert and congratulated us in this occasion. It was our favorite deserts too: their famous carrot cake and chocolate mousse cake. Both cakes were excellent, not overly sweet and yet soft and moist. Even I felt we were already full, we still finished both of them in a flash. Overall, both our happy hour and dining experience was 10 out of 10. All the staffs were friendly and helpful, from bar tenders to our waitress to the managers, and the quality of their food was top notch. It’s no wonder we kept coming back all this time.

My wife and I went to dinner there because of the great reviews. I’m in Florida, how hard is to find good tasting fish, apparently pretty hard! This was final attempt as we were leaving the following night and after 4 bad fish meals elsewhere this was by far the best. The service was top notch and every course tasted awesome. The prices were expensive but well worth it. Here’s what we ate: Stone crab as an appetizer — very expensive but very tasty My wife had the lobster bisque — said it was amazing, a lot of lumps of of lobster in there Sonoma salad — delicious! I usually don’t like goat cheese but it was super good My wife had the filet with butter and said it was amazing I had the ahi tuna. I thought it was very good, not amazing but very good. Overall the food was very good, the service was top notch and the ambiance was great. There was a guy playing piano singing in the background which was a nice touch. I highly suggest for high end fish.

Truluck’s is a great experience when you’re in the mood for a couple of great old-school cocktails and some people watching. The food is good, with lots of classic pairings that make places like Truluck’s the evergreens they are. We sat at the bar and had excellent service(José took good care of us). I recommend this to anyone, especially those who like cocktails. The people watching was amazing. We had the octogenarians next to us, and the incredibly age-mismatched couple on the other side. There were people dancing, badly, to the cover duo. The cocktails are powerful, so your mileage on all this may vary if you’re not as drunk as we were. We ordered the cocktail shrimp, which were actually giant prawns. The cocktail sauce was great, with a good horseradish kick, i.e. the Way It Should Be. My scallops were excellent, and the asparagus was ok. I probably should have ordered a vegetable that was in season. The mashed potatoes are on the heavy side, and seem to come with 70% of the meals – I’d suggest to most people you might find something a little lighter amongst the other sides available. The crab fried rice was nice, and might be a good starch substitute for the mash. I had«THE gin and tonic» with my meal, which turned out to be a good choice. Make sure you order water and keep hydrated. Did I mention the cocktails are powerful?

I’m glad I followed Unilocalers to this happy hour gem! My husband and I live near the Gallaria so it is an easy sell if we can get out of the office in time to make the 6:30 order cutoff. We shared a feast of appetizers on this visit including: the featured oysters(husband only — oysters are not my jam), tuna nachos, hot n’ crunchy shrimp, and warm goat cheese. My personal favorites were the tuna nachos, which are served with raw tuna, mango salsa, and avocado, on a crunchy, but not greasy, chip, and the hot & crunchy shrimp. My husband can’t stop raving about the oysters so I’m sure we will be back for more of those, even if they rotate to something new. I had no problem with the goat cheese but like 13 Even’s baked goat cheese better. They have a nice selection of martinis, cocktails, and wines on the happy hour menu. They are the same drinks as the regular bar menu, but reduced to half-price. On a prior visit I had the Cosmo(fine), and the Lemon Hat(not so fine). This visit I had«THE» Gin & Tonic. They were right, it is THE best one I’ve had in South Florida in a long time! Next visit, it’s Woodford Manhattan or bust. The bar area has an array of hightops to accommodate groups and bar stools at the bar. The crowd is a little older, but I love meeting anyone new so its no difference to me.
